I'm currently debating with myself if I have enough money for a CE. The main reason for me to get it should be the week headstart' date=' and I don't know if that really is enough to spend all that money (that I doesn't have).[/quote']

I don't really care about the headstart that much, I want my tumbler, my map, my travel journal .. and the headstart.

Cant you just buy an imoport version or something like that? Think I'll decide, whether I'll buy CE or the normal edition after I had a look into the beta... I ran the Benchmark yesterday and after overclocking my graphic card I got from "low performance" to "good performance" at least... But I'm still not quite sure how my actual system is gonna handle the game and if I have to upgrade it for FFXIV I'd really have to look after my money hm...

Of course I could buy an import version, from UK that is. But with the tax that goes along with it, a game that would cost me .. uhh ... google conversion .. 87$ in Czech Republic would suddenly bump up to 120$ because of taxes and transportation fee and those 8 days are really NOT that important for me to pay that much more.

Not to mention the transportation would take about 2-3 days. So that means I'd get only 6 or 5 days of early access. http://www.nooooooooooooooo.com/

For those looking @ buying imports, this is from S-E:

Important, read this before you buy Final Fantasy XIV:

Service accounts for FINAL FANTASY XIV and the FINAL FANTASY XIV Collector's Edition can only be added for the same region as your Square Enix account (Japan, North America, or Europe). The game cannot be played if the product region is different from the Square Enix account region, so be sure to check the region for which the product is intended before making a purchase.

It seems like you'd be fine Arzy, getting a EU version from the UK, but this is esp. important for people that like to buy JP versions of the game and play them in the US. Hopefully if they are planning a simultaneous region release for all 3 regions this won't be an issue to many!

One thing I con't really understand is what exactly a region account mean? Does it mean that you have to sign up for the account on the EU homepage to use an EU game, but can still play with people who are using an american account? Or are they on different servers?

So... provisionally, if I want to do what I had originally planned, which was start 3 characters from launch its going to cost me £13.19 ($20.19 US) a month. Now from what I gather those three character will have the one retainer between them unless I purchase more.

Would I likely need more than one for 3 characters or is that enough does anyone know yet?
