Kylin Posted July 2, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 2, 2010 Another video of character creation has surfaced and been posted on Eorzeapedia. You can check it out here: http://www.eorzeapedia.com/2010/07/02/a ... ion-video Elezen men are clearly male prostitutes >.>. Also, not happy about the lack of hairstyles for hyur men but I'll hold judgment until the final version. Link to comment
Smiling River Posted July 2, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 2, 2010 When I saw 8 hairstyles I thought "What is this, Final Fantasy 11?!" The darker skin Lalafell looked funny at first cause he reminded me of ginger bread man. His mustache looked badass though. Link to comment
DAISHI Posted July 2, 2010 Share #3 Posted July 2, 2010 Sadly I don't think they're going to expand the hairstyles. Link to comment
Aveline Posted July 2, 2010 Share #4 Posted July 2, 2010 Probably not for release, though with their idea of possibly including a barber shop, I could see them releasing new and exotic regional hairstyles as they open up expansions. Link to comment
DAISHI Posted July 2, 2010 Share #5 Posted July 2, 2010 But will they? S-E wasn't always entirely aware of what made the game fun for people. Link to comment
Aveline Posted July 2, 2010 Share #6 Posted July 2, 2010 This is true. They are more like distant parents or grandparents that get a vague notion in their head that their offspring likes videogames, so they go buy Sparkle Ponies for the Wii and present it to their PS3-nerd son or daughter as the most precious gift ever, then get really confused over the reaction. That is kind of what I have to come to expect from Square-Enix. Link to comment
DAISHI Posted July 3, 2010 Share #7 Posted July 3, 2010 To get a haircut you'll probably need to go on a lengthy quest that will require you to find scissors, razor and rinse in order to get the haircut done, and then need to wait a week for your hair appointment to occur. Link to comment
Renaise Posted July 3, 2010 Share #8 Posted July 3, 2010 ...And when the appointment is up someone botting jumps in and takes your place forcing you to wait another week for the chance Link to comment
ArmachiA Posted July 3, 2010 Share #9 Posted July 3, 2010 That Lalafell is sportin an awesome baby beard Link to comment
Shamadconde Posted July 3, 2010 Share #10 Posted July 3, 2010 It seems so wrong to see a Lalafell *cough tarutaru cough* sporting any facial hair. Just creeps me out. Link to comment
Guest Posted July 3, 2010 Share #11 Posted July 3, 2010 well if you don't like the styles, there's always .dat modification or whatever file system they'll be using Link to comment

Don't give them ideas! They're just evil enough to do that  ... Plus they'll probably make the appointment time for JP midnight  Link to comment
Koti Nexus Posted July 3, 2010 Share #13 Posted July 3, 2010 Well at least on the bright side of the hair being the same, at least you can select different colors for that hair more so then FFXI and then make it different a bit more by using high-lights. ^^; *is trying to be optimistic* And yes, the little guys with facial hair also freak me out, then again, I never (sorry) liked them much. So I could help but see the video and think, "..like Asian guy?" Then I started to see also Marven the Martian walk with him going, "Fuucius say.. " I know, I'm bad. ^^; Link to comment

They're just evil enough to do that  ... Plus they'll probably make the appointment time for JP midnight  Gives me flash backs of when they introduced the Adventuring Fellow in FFXI. We'll just see one big line snaking through the city as everyone waits for an appointment. I'm still personally happy to see the customization is better than XI's was. Even if the Lalafell look creepy with facial hair. Link to comment
