If your character were a NM

Recommended Posts

What would they drop?

Gil?

A key item?

Rare equipment?

Gerik would drop tons of food.

Fresh Oyster 2-5

Crowned Cake

Stuffed Artichoke

Rolanberry Cheese

EDIT: It might be fun if you made up your own items and stuff too! Have at it.

Gosh, that's a difficult one for Kerr. On one hand, nothing useful or expensive or really good for anything. Haha. But if he could drop *anything*, it would probably be that one item that you needed to complete some quest that was really important to you. He loves to help people, so I think that would be something he would do, even as a NM.

Absolutely nothing. But you'd get even more XP than usual for her level and strength. Pity her loooong respawn rate makes her not viable for level grinding.

Or, for my Sea Wolf, a gilt compact that grants a Makeup buff that reduces your aggro very slightly.

Honestly shocked no one's said pants.

Yeah, but Kerr (and probably Gerik) would only drop the pants of other guys. xD doesn't count.

All manner of tea leaves, water crystals/clusters/shards, yarn/thread/cloth, some super-duper knitting needles...

...and maybe two large thundermelons.  >.>

My little drunken monk would drop a bar tab, that once it is in your inventory, can not be removed in any way until it is paid off, and until it is paid off, you are unable to access your Inn room, or buy anything in Gridania at all.

And a rare drop rate he would drop a MASSIVE beer mug that's as big as he is.

Treasures from lands far and wide. For a given definition of treasure.

One time, Rhio might drop a sword built around a shard of aetheryte crytal, a weapon gently humming with the energy of solidified magic itself. The sword would have a fine edge, but its real strength would be the fact that its wielder could move like water, as if the weapon itself was guiding each block and thrust.

Another time, she might drop a bundle of wood with strange properties, wood that could make excellent equipment... if anyone in Eorzea knew how to work the wood. Which they would not.

And yet another time, she would drop a book. Not an Arcanist weapon; a book. With half of the pages dog-eared.

Hmmm...

going by normal MMO NM standards:

Common Loot (guaranteed drops with other loot tables):

Random Alchemical Ingredient

Random Potion

Uncommon Loot (One or the other guaranteed drop.)

  • Named short sword: Lvl 45 HQ item. No magic properties. Sought for appearance weapon. Unique item tag, only one sword per character.

  • Named dagger: Lvl 40 HQ item. No magic properties. Sought for appearance. Unique item tag.

Rare Loot (better pitch a tent; you're going camping!):

  • (melee users)Mask of Night: Lvl 50 item. ACC +, STR+, DEX+. Enchanted: Night Vision. (blind folk just get their vision restored to normal. No night vision)

  • (magic users)Magicked Specs:Lvl 50 item. ACC+, INT+, MIND+. Enchanted: immunity to Blind effects and spells, grants near-20/20 vision (for us blind folk).

Super Rare (Better just to log in and log out here for this camp!):

  • Aetheryte Necklace: Enchanted: Grants the user the ability to teleport to or from this chunk of Aetheryte, but has an extremely long cast time and recharge. Also leaves you without anima (or mana, or something) upon arrival. Not really useful unless if stranded and item is left at home, or otherwise in a different unique circumstance, but it's an otherwise free teleport home. Item drops from your inventory if teleporting from it , too, btw >.>

If going by FF Named mob:

Gil, EXP. Not to much of either, to be fair.

Yssen would probably drop your own stuff, likely stuff you did not even know was missing. That and likely a lot of your own gil. ^ ^

*Aysun hunts Yssen for her all her missing crap from 5 years ago.
