Returning Player

Hello! I returned to FF14 last night.  I stopped playing around early 2013, so right now I don't have the latest expansion pack yet, and currently getting used to the feels of the controls.

 

Is there any friendly Linkshells taking in new/returning players that I can possibly join on?

 

I'm on Balmung, so my character is Minghao Bajihri.

I cannot recommend any personally, but at the top on the menu of this page is a Linkshells tab. May be worth poking around in and seeing if something interests you.

Welcome back... it's a whole new world and about to get bigger!

 

Like Six said the linkshell list at the top. I'd probably say that there are lots, and they fall into three main categories... and most are quiet.

 

• IC - these tend to have an IC existence contain a few active people but you need an IC reason to join
  
• FC based - really for friends of the free company in question
  
• Themed - either RP, leveling or some other reason to get together and have rules or some sort imposed
  
• General chatter - with all the nonsense that comes from that
  

I'd suggest picking one of the general RP focused LS to start with as a good way to start finding other RPers.

Hey there, and welcome back aboard the RPC and FFXIV! :thumbsup:

 

I can potentially recommend some, but it really depends on your character more than anything else. As for in-general Linkshells? Yeah, best bet is just to browse- your mileage will vary, however, as the amount of activity is going to vary wildly.
