Naunet Posted August 13, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 13, 2013 Well. I don't really art very much, but I kinda shat out some ARR stuff, so... may as well link it here, huh? All goes on my dA page, such as it is. You can also follow me on tumblr, where I post my art as well as various RP and screenshots and other things revolving around my gaming and creative exploits. Exceedingly messy thing scribbled while on a plane Reveal hidden contents Sah'ot Kith Antimony and Ildur's character Ulanan, taking a hike together. Supposedly while they're walking through Thanalan as per some RP we did, but backgrounds? What are those? And to make matters worse, my scanner has developed a blurry spot in the lower righthand corner that refuses to go away! Reveal hidden contents Traveling Companions My girl Antimony, minus her glasses because I am a horrible person. Reveal hidden contents Age I've done other stuff for other MMOs, including TERA, Rift, and WoW, as well as just random original crap and... well, whatever else (went on a Jak & Daxter spree a few years back). On occasion it may even qualify as art in some tertiary dimension! Hope ya'll enjoy. Mayhap I'll toss up some more stuff later. 1 Link to comment
Pepper Posted August 13, 2013 Share #2 Posted August 13, 2013 Holy smoke, you make graphite your (beach)! I always love seeing traditional art mediums and your stuff has a really cool look to it. Each of your characters has some sway to them, and it looks really stylized and eye catching! Link to comment

Naunet Posted August 14, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted August 14, 2014 So I've mostly been "art"-ing for WildStar lately. It seems to suit my style a lot better, as I've never been really happy with how I portray my ARR character(s). But I did manage something that I'm satisfied with recently. A younger K'piru, holding her third daughter, K'aijeen. Happier times... I got lazy with her clothing once I got past the waist... oh well. It was fun to draw her in the clothes I imagined were traditional non-huntress garb for her tribe. I post my art and screenshots on my tumblr, if anyone's interested in WildStar stuff. Ridegmuve Posted November 4, 2014 Share #15 Posted November 4, 2014 I really enjoy these and are very well done, particularly your pantheon! You should make an attempt at all of them keep them coming! One thing I really noticed was that you do hands and feet very well, share us your secrets!!! O_O Link to comment
Naunet Posted November 5, 2014 Author Share #16 Posted November 5, 2014 Oh my goodness, you just made my week, thank you! I was certain I was just posting these for myself. I definitely intend to finish out the rest of the pantheon; it's just slow going. The last quarter of the semester is just as busy for teachers! I've got all the who's who planned out, so it's just forcing myself to draw guys, which... I am not the best at. @.@ Especially if they are particularly grizzled, as at least two of them will be... I'm super flattered by your comments on feet and hands. I'm not sure I'd say I do them "very well", but I think I've improved over time... secret is looking at my own feet and hands a lot. And remembering where all the joints go lol. Anyway, thank you very much. Today has been an extremely difficult day since about 1:30am, and I really needed something like this. <3 Link to comment
Naunet Posted December 20, 2014 Author Share #17 Posted December 20, 2014 I promise I still intend to finish that other project. I've just been super distracted drawing WildStar art and the occasional TERA piece. To get myself back into the swing of FFXIV, have an Antimony... ... I couldn't figure out what clothes to put on her. *is a baddy* Link to comment

Du'lance Fiourtune Posted January 24, 2015 Share #22 Posted January 24, 2015 Wow, these pieces are seriously amazing! I was so excited to see the opening line of "I don't art much". I was thinking "YESSSS!! Someone who probably has scrub art comparable to mine so I can now post my stuff as well without looking like I'm completely horrible at drawing" But alas, twas not the case.....oh well. *hides "art" back in the closet* Seriously, awesome work. Naunet Posted January 25, 2015 Author Share #23 Posted January 25, 2015 Thank you very much, Haylden. But no! Don't hide! Everyone here is super accepting, and I think it's almost every artist's habit to think they're not as good as others might consider. Certainly don't call your own work "scrub art"; I can guarantee it's not true. I won't force you to post it, but please don't feel like you need to hide it from people! On another note, I'm back from my business trip and thus able to get to work on any commissions people might be willing to throw my way. The situation is still dire for my friend. Please help me help her. D: Link to comment

Naunet Posted January 27, 2015 Author Share #25 Posted January 27, 2015 Everyone starts somewhere! If you keep at it regularly, you'll be amazed at the improvement you see, even in just a short time. What helps a whole lot is to never shy away from using references. Even if you have a pretty good idea of the pose you want to draw, finding a photo reference for that pose can help you avoid unintentional anatomy errors. To me when I look at my stuff, it's horribly obvious which poses I used references for and which ones I was too lazy for and didn't. Link to comment
