Early Access patch is ready!

Just checked it, my launcher began patching.

 

GENTLEMEN! TO YOUR MACHINES! IT BEGINS!

Mine didn't really 'patch' it just loaded and then went to inserting my account stuff then was like;

 

"SIR. STOP BEING EXCITED, YOU'VE GOT LIKE A DAY AND A HALF LEFT. COOL IT. -Yoshi."

Hm. Well my PS3 decided it had to download 1.8 GB of data, so it's possibly version specific. But a small patch and punching in info is still progress!

 

Better to do it now than when the servers go up and there's possible congestion, right?

The devs are pretty concerned about data-mining on the PC version, so.. like Phase 4, they are trying to hold off on distributing it as best as possible.

My launcher downloaded a bunch of stuff when i checked it today. Not sure if it's just people who were not in the beta who are just getting everything so far. I imagine when early access opens there will be another patch download anyway. Just feels good to know that long download is out the way before i want to play the game.

Nah, I was in phase4 beta and I'm downloading a patch/update as we speak for the Early Access client.

It's a good way to check if your codes worked, too. At least for PC. Not sure about PS3.

 

When you open the launcher, it'll update. There will be some license agreements or something to read and accept. Log in with your account. If it says "Please wait for Early Access", you're good to go. If it says something along the lines of "You do not have any registered time" then something's wrong.

Did you pay for ninety cumulative days? While you'll still get access to the game, early access is being restricted to pre-orders and Legacy 1.0 users only.

I was wondering the same thing. I assume the rest comes on official release, but if someone has confirmation it would be reassuring.

I would think that the collectors (for physical at least) will come with the physical box, and given that the digital upgrade to CE from SE is only live at launch, I would guess that would be when CE goodies turn up.

Pretty sure those are at launch for those that just got it. For those of us that have the 1.0 Collectors, I'm still looking for that answer but I'd suspect at launch too.

 

It makes sense, they wanna make sure people actually purchase the CE rather than get the items then cancel the preorder. ;;

 

And yes, there was just a new patch put out, 1035.90MB

I'm not sure if I missed a post or not but I want to let people know that if you are not Legacy or you do not have access to Early Access it won't let you patch. Just throwing that out there before anyone gets confused or anything like that.

From what I read when I was doing all my preorder code stuff, it said that it would be given upon first entering the game. And that is for digital Collector's edition, SO I do believe you're right on thinking that.

So I loaded up the launcher earlier and didn't get a patch download, then I just read your post and started to get all jittery, considering I preordered...
