Toughest overall dungeon and boss fight?

Just curious what people think about dungeons and boss fights so far in the game and which was the toughest? Not really found one that was mind blowingly difficult yet it's just about learning each rotation as it comes. I say this as i've not finished Garuda yet but still working out the last part with the Vortex where to stand without her constantly hitting me as the healer xD. Will probably finish it later if i have a group who can pick it up fast enough. She does the exact same things every time so i find her less annoying than Titan with his random forward AoE that can kill you even if you are way out of it.

Dungeon wise not hit any sort of wall yet. Last one i did was Stone Vigil. Second boss was probably the most annoying as a healer unless somebody knows how to use canons.

Edit: And i just realised i put this in "RP Discussion" derp.

I haven't really had much of a problem with any dungeon or boss fight, but I also tend to run with the same group of people most of the time, all of which are competent. Even with new content, it only takes us a few tries to get the hang of it and move on.

Granted, we haven't done any hard mode fights aside from Ifrit, or any of the Relic Weapon quest specific fights (which are supposed to be kinda tough). I'm hearing that Garuda and Titan aren't all that fun on hard mode, but I can't really make a judgement on that till I've tried them.

So far? Titan. I haven't completed all of the dungeons yet but I've found that the movement intensive fights can be pretty tough when in a random group forged through the duty finder. The amount of people who got knocked off of the platform was pretty amusing.

That knock back move is kind of annoying. The window to move out of the area is so small and even if you move out half the time it's too late and the attack just zooms in on you. Somehow i found running forwards after running out the box helped me survive the knock back when it kept counting the attack even when i was out the box. A lot of the time the attack itself won't kill you just the falling off the platform.

Having a static is obviously going to be better for all fights since you can communicate and know each others play styles really quickly. With a PuG it's a lot of new people and personally i try to explain every mechanic as best i can. Some go better than others. Being patient and constructive with people tends to work better than getting angry. Had a few people be really horrible with me if i make a mistake in a new dungeon like i should just know everything first time. Just doesn't always go that way.

Patient seemed to work on Garuda anyway finished it in 3 tries with a group with 2 people who have never done it before.

I think seeing the way people treat me has made me think about myself when i've been angry with people in PuG's for not getting it so i've been working on a more patient approach. If people get pissy with me i'm just like "Why should i care if these guys get to finish or not?"

Demon Wall in Amdapor. I hate this fucker with a passion, because there's so much room to fuck up really quickly if your party doesn't know that they're doing. It's a huge DPS race with being put to the challenge of having to constantly move back and forth to avoid some nasty dots, as well as avoiding being knocked off. Bleh!

It's not so bad once you get the timing down, but working up to that point was a pain in the ass.

The Ant Boss in Cutter's Cry.... For some reason, I always get eaten during that fight as a healer :( I think Ants just like lala snacks.

Do you have regen? I always find that skill great for kiting because you can use it while moving so can just spam it on yourself and the party keeping everyone alive and constantly drawing aggro.

Oh I did, but when the tank doesn't want to pull anything from the miniture lala running around screaming with an ant latched to his head, I can't really do much more than that ^^;

Tank shouldn't need to focus on anything but the boss. If tank and both DPS focus on the boss while you run around screaming and healing yourself should be over in a couple of minutes. Pop sprint if you want to get some distance and use the above walkways and run around posts to block them attacking you. Once you get used to it then it's just kind of funny to do that boss.

Haven't been in Coil, yet, so I can't speak for that. Have done Titan HM, once, successfully.

He is definitely a big step up from the others, in terms of awareness and footwork. You're seldom allowed to stay still for more than five or seven seconds, and failure to move immediately out of any one of the constant, screen filling attacks usually results in instant death.

The bomb rock patterns that start appearing below 40% or so are particularly tricky, and the movements you have to make to stay alive remind me of Heigan the Unclean, the infamous DDR boss of Naxx from WoW.

I'd say he's pretty well tuned, though. There isn't much RNG, and the gear (DPS, really) check is appropriate for the "Doorkeeper" to Bahamut's coil.

For reasons purely of my own (such as the fact that I am terrified of heights), Demon Wall is like, my bane.  I am terrified the entire time.

But my favorite boss is the second version of Ultima in Praetorium so far.  Disco Laser Dancing, dodging cleaves/ground effects, and heavy AoE damage.  I find that ridiculously fun.

Aurum Vale is a funny one. Only had one group who bothered to get to the last boss. The first two bosses were not that hard just about knowing what to do and when . The second boss i actually found hilarious because of the amount of running around i had to do when the thing kept chasing me . The last boss i just wish the tank was not allergic to using stun on the bad breath AoE it does because every 5 seconds he was being stacked with debuffs and the DPS had too much trouble downing adds.

Titan HM i'm probably going to hate the normal version was irritating enough with it's zero window to actually dodge anything and having attacks zoom in on me even when i was a mile outside the area. Prefered Garuda it was at least a fair fight. If you die it's because you made a mistake/
