(DON'T MAKE NAUGHTY COMMENTS ONLINE WHILE SLEEPY KIDS.)

 

That would eliminate about...  I don't know, somewhere between 1/2 and 2/3 of my comments.  I'm on a few strong meds that keep me in an almost permanent state of sleepy/groggy/slightly loopy, and far too often my innocent comments can be misunderstood.

 

To quote a brilliant man, "I seem to do quite well for a stretch and then at the end of the sentence I say the wrong cranberry".

To bump... I was writing some random RP macros in the middle of Sagolii and when I came back to further edit them I accidentally clicked the hotkey I set them to, twice, as opposed to clicking it in the actual macro menu. My character started spewing some random lines with a hyur standing nearby...

I'm both glad I'm not the only one who has done that and sad that it happened to you.

 

In Star Wars Galaxies I had a macro that was part of a running joke with a friend who was a dancer who often wore one of the more revealing outfits.  It was simply a macro of my character whispering "I think you forgot to get dressed this morning, yes?" since I had said it often enough and I thought it would save time not having to type it out each time.

 

On at least three separate occasions, I had meant to hit one macro but somehow got that one while in a rather large group.  They laughed, I was thankful they couldn't see how red I had turned on this side of the keyboard.

I got another one!

 

The Grim Echo/Night Blades alliance is going to be the death of me.

 

We recently decided to make a small OOC Linkshell to discuss plotline stuff ("It Burns When I ERP" the greatest LS ever thank you) and today we were discussing past storylines

 

In the past, me and Siben, a fellow LS member, had our characters in a romance in the game Aion. We joked around a lot about it for years because my character took his characters virginity (Fade to black, you pervs)

 

I was making jokes about us doing yet another romance, but this time my character is the innocent one and not his.

 

"THIS TIME IT'S MY V-CARD NOT YOURS."

 

Mistelled right into the Grindstone.

I got another one!

 

The Grim Echo/Night Blades alliance is going to be the death of me.

Last week while minding my own business, someone managed to shout something distinctly erotic across all of old gridania. I rolled my eyes and figured they were just trolling, and shouted a smart arsed remark back.

 

However, I almost immediately got a very embarassed reply via /tell - apparently it was a legit mis-message... I responded with a "xD" smiley, at which point she seemed to forget that she'd just /tell'd me, and ends up sending me her next installment of ERP messages by accident :blush:

I have a picture of straight-up ERP that was mistold in Aion back in the day. I wasn't online for it, but my character's wife was and she snapped the picture.

 

It was two full, descriptive lines of ERP mistold in to the class channel, which is global to everyone who shares the same class as you. We had the good sense to at least edit out the name to protect the poor guy's embarrassing mistake.

I have one! I was having a chat with Darien at a Grindstone event in /tell OOCly..

We're chattin, I brought up the Tadpole pet he given me a long time ago and instead of sending it to him.. I accidentally sent it to Siobhain.

 

"You should be proud of the Tadpole you gave me, THIS LITTLE GUY CAN EFF (censoring the f word. >>;) UP A BABY BEHEMOTH NOW."

Not technically a mistell, but it's a story that I really like and it happened to me so I'm telling it.

 

In GW2 my lady Norn was in the process of romancing a fellow guildie, a pretty human mesmer girl.  They were trying to keep things relatively on the downlow and at a guild event one night my character went up to hers to ask her to step outside so they could talk privately when the following exchange took place:

 

Me: Walks over to the girl in a bar crowded with guildies, "Hey there, mind if I borrow you for a sex?"

 

The entire bar stops and every head slowly turns toward my character who immediately tries to cover the Freudian slip.

 

Me:  "Sec!  Can I borrow you for a sec!" 

 

It was an OOC typo that set off some of the funniest in game RP I've ever been a part of.  Needless to say, my girl was teased mercilously for it.  Plus side though, she got some.

One of these people happened to be the father of my baby cousin. By the time my older cousin had left this hick, the baby's first word had been a racial slur, and his entire vocabulary had expanded to more than this one particular racial slur. Fast-forward about a month to the time my older cousin had developed a pseudo nursery rhyme to teach her son that these were no-no words. I was explaining all this to my friend while engaging in some jolly Trade chat, and  when he asked for the rhyme, I told him. In Trade.[/align]

 

[align=center]Now I'm going to censor this, but understand that these were slurs for african americans.[/align]

[align=center]These are words I will not say!'[/align]

This is more tame than what I said in the middle of busy Ul'dah...I think anyway.  I didn't use any slurs but I basically said "He better not be doing that, jerk".  Completely out of context but the single sentence that made its way into /say just...made me run in horror.  It's not even worth explaining in context because even my reason for saying it could be misconstrued!  No one said anything on it but I was right by the retainer, marketboard... plenty of people had to have seen it <_< It's funny now though.

Has anyone else taken to rating and reviewing the MT's that show up in your channels?

 

Whenever someone MT's in my FC or OOC LS channel I give it a rating out of 10 and a brief review >.>

 

example:

 

Guildie: Yeah gotta keep on top of those adds.

Guildie: MT

Me: 3/10, possible double entendre but in the context of an MMO the meaning is clearly non sexual

Yes! Whenever someone MTs into FC or LS or party chat or whatever, we get all disappointed that the MT wasn't sexy enough.

 

I'm still somewhat sad that I haven't seen a really raunchy misstell yet.  Those are always the most hilarious.
