Zane Posted September 5, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 5, 2010 Sorry if this was already posted somewhere but: http://www.eorzeapedia.com/2010/09/05/eorzeapedia-at-pax-2010/#more-5110 Read half way down. Link to comment
Smiling River Posted September 5, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 5, 2010 Happy to say that I've 'inspired' those questions Great to be right in the face of SE, this time around! :approve: Link to comment
Trizzip Posted September 5, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 5, 2010 Those were some great questions thrown out there. I hope it sticks in the devs' minds. Very nice interview. ^.^ Link to comment
Asyria Posted September 5, 2010 Share #4 Posted September 5, 2010 Holy Moogle, that is nice! So now some big SE heads are aware of our community, of our choice of server and think the idea of putting a RP label on Besaid could be a good idea! Here's to hoping they remember to tell their pals at SE about it. Link to comment
Veedo Posted September 5, 2010 Share #5 Posted September 5, 2010 âCan you tell us more about how companies are supposed to work? Kurosawa: Yeah⦠no further information is available at this point, sorry. Sundi: I wish we could. Oh murr. STILL no info? Link to comment
Kylin Posted September 5, 2010 Share #6 Posted September 5, 2010 It's official. No more whining about a revote. Gotta keep SE in the loop and a revote would really hurt that >.> Link to comment

Seraphine Felstar Posted September 6, 2010 Share #13 Posted September 6, 2010 I still don't know if I like the idea of labeling a server as RP specific since it might dissuade people who would be interested but don't really understand it or have the courage to give it a shot. It also might be a target for people who want to RP some pretty crazy stuff. Because we have a council we can deal with RP'ers who might be harassing other members IC or god-moding where as SE might not exactly get the concept. Hard to translate that to a JP GM and sometimes they do answer NA calls. That aside... freaking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It shows that SE isn't actually against RP they just aren't really sure of what our needs our. He took it seriously and without remarks against the RP community. Moreover he showed a willingness to co-operate as long as it didn't take up too much of their resources. After all, these are pretty busy people and sometimes they can't finish their own projects for the game let alone other peoples Sidenote Eorzeapedia has been pretty good to us lately and I think it would be nice if we could show our gratitude somehow. Mycroft Posted September 6, 2010 Share #14 Posted September 6, 2010 You know if SE decides to announce an Official RP server they need to have a sense of humour about it.. I'm thinking Black Mage chocobos to show current server population. Link to comment
BloodHecate Posted September 6, 2010 Share #15 Posted September 6, 2010 It's official. No more whining about a revote. Gotta keep SE in the loop and a revote would really hurt that >.> May we take this pirate ship called "Besaid" as far as it can take us. Link to comment
Asyria Posted September 6, 2010 Share #16 Posted September 6, 2010 Well, they said it, if they are going to do anything at all, they need to know what our needs are... Perhaps the RPC should contact SE directly in light of this interview? Link to comment
Brynhilde Posted September 6, 2010 Share #17 Posted September 6, 2010 Well, they said it, if they are going to do anything at all, they need to know what our needs are... Perhaps the RPC should contact SE directly in light of this interview? We've certainly nothing to lose by it. Perhaps we should form a petition. Link to comment
Asytra Posted September 6, 2010 Share #18 Posted September 6, 2010 Well, they said it, if they are going to do anything at all, they need to know what our needs are... Perhaps the RPC should contact SE directly in light of this interview? We've certainly nothing to lose by it. Perhaps we should form a petition. Petitions usually seem a bit torch and pitchforky... perhaps a community representative and representative of this forum could contact them on our behest? Link to comment

Petitions usually seem a bit torch and pitchforky... perhaps a community representative and representative of this forum could contact them on our behest? I feel that this last suggestion would be taken more seriously. A representative of the RPC talking to a representative is SE... just seems fitting. Link to comment
Tadir Posted September 6, 2010 Share #20 Posted September 6, 2010 With all the coverage we've been getting lately I'm starting to feel like we are part of a legitimate community. I don't mean in our eyes, because we have always seen ourselves that way, but from the point of view of the (I would normally say major, but in light of all this) OTHER major sites. Link to comment
Kylin Posted September 6, 2010 Share #21 Posted September 6, 2010 Contacting SE directly is easier said than done. If I knew how to, I would have tried long ago. Simply contacting customer support isn't the way to go. You have to contact their community representatives. I don't know how to do so. Unless one of the major fan sites are willing to give me an email address of one of the community people, I'm not sure how we could create a direct path to them. Link to comment
Asyria Posted September 6, 2010 Share #22 Posted September 6, 2010 You could always ask those folks who actually interviewed SE representatives? ^^ Link to comment
ArmachiA Posted September 6, 2010 Share #23 Posted September 6, 2010 Wow, how neat that Sundi knows we exist! I wish it was as easy as "shooting them an email" as he said though Link to comment

Trizzip Posted September 9, 2010 Share #25 Posted September 9, 2010 Another option to contacting SE directly would be to talk to them at an expo. If it's a closed expo (with only representives from the large community sites invited) then call/email whoever you need to that sends out invites to those things. Convience them that we're a pretty big deal. Of course, I don't have any experiance with this so it's just mere speculation. Just something to help folk's wheels turn. Link to comment
