Looking for characters for a Moon-Keeper based RP FC

The “Morbolvine Clan” Free Company has been revived and active for many many months now. I am the (unofficial) recruitment officer in the FC. The RP FC already has a nice group of active members, and we are looking to expand a bit by adding more Moon-keeper characters.

 

Note: the word “clan” is part of the FC's name, and should be regarded as nothing more than part of a name. Like a sport team named after an animal. It is -just- part of the name.

 

Requirements:

1: Keeper of the Moon character that does -not- scoff at traditional Keeper practices (detailed in our LS Hall Profile and FC website).

2: Be online at least once a week (preferably more often).

3: Be willing to learn.

 

That's it! There is not much lore on Keeper of the Moon traditional culture, but we abide by what little there is. You do not have to know it, we will teach you. Its all easy to learn. Also, there is room for characters who break the mold a bit. We are not too strict.

I expressed interest before and never got back to you asking, but how do the Morbolvines handle males? I know sometimes they stick around and other times they're temporary babymakers and such?

 

Males who are born of one of the three families are kept with the group for as long as they want to stay. Males who are not born of the families have to be approved for "adoption" by the Matriarch. After that, they too can stay as long as they want. Males who are not "adopted" or born of the families can visit if they are friendly to the group, but are not allowed to stay permanently. This is actually the case for females as well when it comes to our group.

 

The leader of the FC, Miah Polaali, wishes for the group to eventually somewhat reflect the greater numbers of females mentioned in the lore, so slots for "adopted" and family-born males are limited. However, there are only two members of the Jakkya family and two members of the Polaali family right now (all female). There are no more Molkots right now. Everyone else is adopted or employee. So, we really have plenty of room for males and females as it is. One other person may be joining the Jakkya family soon with a male character. We could really use some Molkots, but will gladly welcome more Jakkyas and Polaalis. :)

 

Unless there is a sudden influx of male characters, I will not put a stop to the recruitment of male characters anytime soon.

I may be interested in creating an alt belonging to whatever family is the most underrepresented at the moment. Would take the place of another alt I'd been playing but whose RP just sort of stagnated. So if there are any particular roles that your Clan would have need of, throw me some ideas. :)

Just wanted to update everyone.

 

We currently have 3 Jakkyas, 3 Molkots and 2 Polaalis in the FC now :D

 

A 4th Jakkya will be added soon, so we really need some more members of the Polaali family now. If anyone wants to make a member of the feisty, passionate and strong Polaali family, send a PM to Knight Kat or Vet's gurl on the RPC. You can also contact Kiht Jakkya or Miah Polaali in-game.

 

However, the Jakkya family and Molkot family are still open for recruitment with plenty of room to spare as well.

FROM HERE ON. NO MORE -NON FAMILY- MEMBERS (POLAALI, MOLKOT, AND JAKKYA) WILL BE ALLOWED INTO THE FC UNTIL FAMILY NUMBERS ARE INCREASED.

 

I just want to clarify that she means no more characters will be allowed to join the FC -unless- they join as members of the Polaali, Molkot or Jakkya families.

 

Those main three families are still open for recruitment, we simply have enough employees and adopted members.

Time for an update on this.

 

Firstly, we are still recruiting for the three families. Currently, we are most in need of members to join the Polaali and Jakkya families, but the Molkots could still use more members too.

Secondly, to any members recently kicked for inactivity, you are welcome back if you want. Miah simply enforces the inactivity policy; no inactivity for over a week unless you give notice. All you have to do is send me a tell, and you will be re-invited without question. However, I recommend only coming back if you are willing to commit to being online at least once a week.

oh gosh, i LOVE this idea! so much i can't even express it into words and i would absolutely love to join one of the families, maybe as a Poolali?

 

i have a keeper of the moon character the only problem is that she doesn't share any of the family sir names (her name is: Mira Luna) but i was looking to getting back into playing ffxiv and moving my character to balmung! she's currently on ragnarok

 

if by chance one of you already in the group (or a friend) would be willing to make a temporary character on balmung with the same name if i make a transfer of Mira to balmung it would make me have to rename her and i could give her a fitting sir name to join! if something like this is at all possible i'd absolutely love to as i wanted to join balmung to look for RP and i just love the idea of my character having a family! <3

 

please um... pm me or reply or something if there is a way to work things out and if the name changing stuff is too much of a hassle i'd still like to join if possible (maybe be sisterly adopted in?)

Yes, we could really use another Polaali (Be careful with that spelling, it is two 'a' not two 'o'). She is right about the restrictions right now, but I can promise to make the character to fill the slot tonight. I will post on this thread and PM you when I have made the character to fill the name slot of Mira Luna. After I have done so, transfer and change the surname, that is it.

 

Once on Balmung, player search for Kiht Jakkya or Miah Polaali. Let us know when you have transferred, and I will player search you as well.

gah, that also means that my user name is a wrong adjustment accidentally using the seekers of the sun naming conventions

 

oh and will the character creation restrictions affect my ability to transfer Mira Luna to balmung? i don't want to submit the transfer application and not be able to get into balmung

For a female Keeper of the Moon: Mira, Mihra, Mirah, Mirha all work just fine. If you want to keep it Mira, that will fit fine.

 

So, Mira Polaali is just fine for a Keeper of the Moon female. (Sorry for the repeats I just want to make it clear.)

 

I do not think the restriction will prevent you from transferring. How it works is, the sever does not allow the creation of new characters during busy hours. However, I had no trouble transferring characters to Balmung the two times I did it.

that's great! in that case once mira luna is taken i'll transfer her over and rename her Mira Polaali <3 then she'll all be a moon keeper which is really awesome because i wanted to rp something close to the lore i even looked it up when i originally chose her patron god, Menphina

 

this is so cool! yay family :3

 

PS: forgot to say, happy 4th of july and independence and fireworks!!
