New meat!

Hi there!

I'm Draiol and I'm new to Balmung and Final Fantasy in general. I've been roleplaying most of my life, however, and most recently in MMORPGs such as World of Warcraft and Wildstar.

I have four still pretty low-level miqo nerds to play with, and quite possibly an au ra in the future. I put up basic wiki pages for them and will be filling in more info later.

My FF tumblr is http://chocoborides.tumblr.com, where I mostly do memes and post screenshots.

Nice to meet you!

Hi! Welcome to the RPC!

Let us know if you've got any questions or if you feel a little lost to start! There're a TON of resources on the site.

A quick-start to dive into RP would be that the game uses /em for custom emotes.

Like "/em stumbles over a bumpy path" would make the emote text for it. /me will make you point to yourself.

I hope you enjoy your time here!

Thank you for the welcome!

It did take me a moment to realize it was /em and not just /e for emotes xD

You should have seen me when I started here. I came from a game where /me was the thing you used, it took me a few months to shake the habit entirely xD

Oh man I can understand that! It was quite awkward to just stand there going 'WHY ISN'T THIS WORKING', but at least I was trying to talk to a friend and not a room of players. >>;

Shake the habit? I still do it sometimes when I'm typing fast. It's so easy to switch /em and /me when you're hammering stuff out.
