gfdhg Posted February 27, 2015 Share #1 Posted February 27, 2015 This has probably been discussed before, (and if it has, please direct me there). Was searching around and the archived forum of this didn't really hold much. I was wondering about this as Chesparaux is a bit on the aged side, but he's an Elezen and I notice in most fantasy works, Elves/Elven races tend to live for quite a bit, and age pretty well. But I've been reading around the wikis and there doesn't seem to be any official mention of age. If there isn't any official age, could there be any theories or idea the RP community could guess on? I want to say Hyur's age pretty normally as humans (even longer with technology). But I'm unsure about the other races. Link to comment
Unnamed Mercenary Posted February 27, 2015 Share #2 Posted February 27, 2015 From the lore panel at the Las Vegas Fanfest in 2014, we learned most of the races all live to about the same age, whatever that number is. They did confirm that Elezen have a -slightly- longer puberty period and do live a few years longer than your average hyur/miqo'te/lalafell/roegadyn because of it. So if people all lived to "100", Elezen would maybe get to "110-120" or something, since their "teens" would last till mid-20s or something. We never really got a hard number iirc. *lights the Sounsyy signal, since she can prolly answer it better* Link to comment
N'velhi Tia Posted February 28, 2015 Share #3 Posted February 28, 2015 I was wondering this as well the other day. I read somewhere Lalafell have the longest lifespans. Link to comment

thesunalsorises Posted February 28, 2015 Share #7 Posted February 28, 2015 I was wondering this as well the other day. I read somewhere Lalafell have the longest lifespans. Fernwales mentioned in the lore panel that Lalafell have the same lifespan as the other races. He said that Ququruka is an exception rather than the rule. Link to comment
Sounsyy Posted February 28, 2015 Share #8 Posted February 28, 2015 /is late cuz Chocobo Races have consumed life. It's been answered, but according to Fernhalwes at the Las Vegas Lore Panel, all races live an average life span of 80-100 years, with Elezen living a slightly extended life span. He did not give a specific number, but we can assume if Hyur live 80-100, Elezen may live anywhere from 90-120 years. HOWEVER, it was also brought up that because Eorzeans live in a very dangerous time and have much more strenuous jobs than your average Earth human, that most people do not live to see their full life span for one reason or another. So most Eorzeans consider anyone above 50 years old to be pretty on up there. See quote from Fishing Lore below: Haraldr Haddock A tasty saltwater fish indigenous to the cold waters of the Bloodbrine Sea. Its name comes from a legendary northern king who was said to have survived to the ripe old age of seven and fifty summers eating only the fatty flesh of this grotesque wavekin. And, as was said, Lalafell live the same length as everyone else. Fernehalwes confirmed Ququruka - who lived to be over 120 years old - was most definitely an exception to most of his kind.
