1. I don't think so. We played the Old Guard type of Templars. The Templars were kind of in all out war with each other over either sticking with the old ways or getting with the times. We played Templars from the old line of thinking - getting thing done and letting someone else worry about the clean up and had no time for the new guard or toleration of any other upstart factions. We were there first, we knew how to do it better, and we didn't have time for changing with society or playing nice with other factions. It was fun, though it ended up a bit dark for our tastes given the theme. We actively avoided the Illuminati as we figured they would be the popular choice in TSW. But I did have an alt that was one.
2. I. Basic Info Characters:Armi Alliando, Loki Aethertide, Daej Alderis, Acher'a Jhaavon, Langli Nioben. Isera Fineas Primary character: Loki Aethertide/Armi Alliando Linkshells:Night Blades Primary RP linkshell:Night Blades II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium Views on RP combat and injuries: Fine with it. In fact, I expect at least some conflict. Views on IC romance: Fine with it as well. It's perfectly natural that certain characters have a spark. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I would like people to ask if they want to be related to me, but other than that no problems here. I like all kinds of RP, even the lowly Tavern RP Views on lore: Lore is VERY important to me. I tend to shy away from people who completely break lore because they don't want to fit their character into the world. I'm okay with bending it, but not with outright breaking it. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Unless the linkshell is specifically for RP, I am OOC in linkshell chat. Since you can have multiple LS's in this game (since they function like a chat channel?) I'll probably pick up a few OOC and IC LS's in my travels. I have no preference on any thing else. III. Other Info Country:USA Timezone:Mountain Time Contact info:You can get me here. [glow=blue]~Character Sheets can be found in the posts below~[/glow]
3. Templar! We played blood thirsty old world Templars and loved it. That sounds hella awesome! Were you one of the Cabals that preached intolerance of the other factions and races? WE were very intolerant of the other cabals. We roleplayed that the Illuminati were ruining it for everyone and were children. It was very very fun. Oh Snap. That's right! I need to bring that back, or at least a similar one ;o

5. Hello again RPC! I was a pretty heavy poster back in the day, and I played a main character named Loki -something or other-. Decided to come back because the Beta is 800x better than the old game and my guild (formally the Crimson Blades) are going to give it another chance. Look forward to RPing with you --MMORPG background I started playing MMO's in October 2003 with FFXI. Since then I've played World of Warcraft, Phantasy Star Online, Aion, TERA, The Secret World, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Wizard101, Guild Wars 2, and some others I've probably forgot. --RP experience I started Roleplaying with Tabletop games back 1997. My first Roleplaying game ever was Vampire: The Masquerade and I loved every bit of it. I've been roleplaying ever since. --Character ideas/info In the works. --How did you learn about the coalition? I used to post here! --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? I personally tend to go for medium. I love to roleplay but like to do other MMO things as well. --Anything from real life youâre comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc) I'm 31, female, an aspiring writer and a big ol geek. My favorite musical artists are Ayumi Hamasaki and Morning Musume. I like pie.
6. Power. In this world, in any world, it's the only thing that matters. Once, we were Treasure Hunters, looking for the next big score to make us rich; make us feel important. That was before the Calamity. Wealth did nothing; our vast collection of artifacts didn't stop the destruction. They turned to ash, became worthless at our feet. We know now, it was all meaningless. The only thing that matters is absolute power. The power to protect Eorzea from any threat it may face is worth more than gold or jewels. And we intend to get it, at any cost. 7. I've been a fan of Old WoD since I was 17.. which was a long time ago believe me. I'm very excited about it. The sandbox element scares me a bit, and the fact you can permanently die, but I think it's going to be amazing.
8. Our guild is actually shifting away from a Treasure Hunter focus (Which was what they were in the 2 weeks we played 1.0 >.>), and evolving into a general power-hungry focus. The whole Cataclysm Calamity forced a huge shift in focus and we're running a completely different set up because of it. Should be fun.
9. I am pretty stubborn about this and pretty much think Limsa is the greatest place ever, so my character has to conform to me on this point. Sorry, Armi!
10. I'd say not poverty level, but not middle class for my character. I think, anyway. This is subject to change
11. BORING? You're exotic around these parts! HA! At least I'm exotic somewhere
12. Hyur Female. How boring. Though I have a tendency to have alt-itis.
13. After Square Enix (FFXI/FFXIV), and NCSOFT (Aion and City of Heros) I am very VERY used to being shafted by execs
14. The Good (positives)[*] [*] It's the world's prettiest crafting sim [*] The mixing of classes is a good idea and seems really fun [*] [*][/list:u] The Bad (negatives)[*] [*] It's the world's prettiest crafting sim [*] Seriously, after that there's fuck-all to do [*] ....Seriously, the mailbox's don't even work [*][/list:u] The Not-So-Ugly (thoughts, hopes, neutrality, etc.)[*] [*] My hope is that the November patch (and December one by proxy) fixes a lot of issues and maybe introduces new classes for fighting. [*] It's the world's prettiest crafting sim. [*] If it doesn't I'm probably off to DCUO [*][/list:u]
15. Recruitment open again~ We'd enjoy getting some more EU, as we have 8 or so. We are restricting recruitment on Miqote, however, we have more of them in our guild than any other race... combined. Please see website for more details
16. We had a troll in the miner's guild the other day. Kept saying we weren't our characters and we were lame. We just went along with him "Yes, so lame" "We aren't our characters!? Blasphemy" he eventually got bored and left.
17. All my leveling gear is within my range, my rp gear is no where NEAR my range (Too high or too low) I regret nothing!
18. My guild spends a lot of time in the Miner's Guild and other Taverns at the moment - thought mostly the Miner's guild - because it's way easier to get to know each other in "tavern rp" We've met a lot of cool people from other guild's that way!
19. This was nice of them, though it does prove we're just playing the ps3 bets I'm happy. I'm having fun doing leves and roleplaying, though I haven't been on in 2 days because my nephew got me sick
20. If said characters have a Wiki link I linked it on their first mention. Loki: LS Members: As a PC/NPC character in charge of getting people into the CB storyline she met a few people and already knew of others canoncly. Fillion Fenias is a fellow PC/NPC character who she does not like and they don't get along, Katara Tyme is Fillion's new charity case (Who Loki calls his new "toy) who they met accidentally while in Aleport. She already new of Stanzie Rhys, a Scribe in the Crimson Blades, and they met for a meeting about the sudden influx of new members, along with Kudrin Colars, someone she didn't know but had been in the CB for awhile. Katara Tyme interupted said meeting and Fillion thought she was a treat and gave her a ring, which is against the rules so Loki yelled. Fillion was never much for rules anyway. Which he proved when he sent out an open invite of Blades to a party without telling them they were all Blades. There Loki met Kuromori Fujihara, Shamade Conde,Nedral Crenl, and others she'd already met before. She realized what Fill was doing and yelled at him, stating that he needed to stop being an ass... he will never listen Later, she met Lloire Peace and Verek Sederai at Aleport while waiting for Ellion Direfrost and had to inform them (along with Katara) exactly what the Crimson Blades was. Non-LS: I haven't met many people from outside the LS, but during Fillion's party Loki walked in on a Spectral Wardens meeting at the Amphitheater and assumed it was some kind of play. A terrible, terrible play... and also heard something about Bacon Rum. Later on, when she was informed it wasn't a play and went to the party, she said they had Bacon Rum down there and Katara ran to get some. Turns out Tyriont Gaidal had Bacon Rum on his person, a sort of experiment in Rum. Loki had knew of him by name, being a pirate herself, but had never met the guy. She also met Reniase, who explained a bit about the Spectral Warden and a lot of Spectral Warden members, though she didn't speak to them personally. Specific Questions: ~ I don't think any friendship were started during any of these meetings, they were really just introductions. Introductions are the worst part of any RP, I hate doing them. They're always forced and somewhat unnatural, but really the only way to get your character to meet people at the beginning of a game. She doesn't really like Katara much, finds her annoying and just tagging along with Fillion. Fillion is annoying to her. she has no opinion on anyone else. ~ Her growth is what I thought it would be, introductions are hard. I do have to say I'm used to Aion, where there was one major city so it was really easy to find RP. I don't know of any RP hubs or even if there are some. Maybe LS's are just sticking to themselves at this point? Unsure. ~ Character growth? So far it's just trying to get her acclimated to her surroundings, so no big revelations yet. As for the others, since Loki is the one who gets everyone involved in the CB story, I haven't been able to RP the other 3. That will come later though, I'm sure. In short: I hate the first couple weeks of RP, introductions and getting people involved and getting used to your character is all the worst part
21. That Bazaar search is seriously a god send. It shows you who and where the retainer is of the whatever you want to buy. SO useful.
22. Got a question. Any template on adding NPC's and Canonical lore into the Wiki? I want to start adding the important characters (and not so important ones) and was wondering if there was any tipes. I'm VERY new to wiki's so sorry if this is a dumb question
23. This is pretty much exactly what happened. Back in E3 '09 two MMO's were announced for release at the end of the year of 2010: FFXIV and TOR. They thought they were pretty much safe, Cataclysm was announced to launch on the same day as Star Craft II. But Blizzard, being the "It's done when it's done" types, weren't ready to release it on SC II's release date, and changed the date to November. When that was announced, SE and Bioware released their official dates: SE for Sept 2010, and Bioware for early 2011. Bioware pushed back the date and SE pushed forward, both of them avoiding Cataclysm all together. FFXIV could have used some more time before release, it's pretty apparent, we're really just playing Beta right now. However, I think we'll probably see one of their big updates around the time Cataclysm comes out, if not sooner.
