  1. Yes, I apologise. It was the only one I could find at the time but I edited the post with a clearer screenshot ^^ It seems that just a sentence was cut out and one that we already knew in any case.
  2. You see, the thing is that they culturally involve themselves with selective breeding all for the purpose of producing strong offspring. To me, that tells me that they are a society that highly values strength and prowess. Regardless of how strong a Nunh(a.k.a the strongest male) is next to the best huntress in the tribe, he is still a highly valuable asset to them. This, to me, would tell me that they would offer respect to his position and expect him to take his role seriously. I can't relate to the idea of supposing that any tribe would be content with some person having the audacity to not bother affiliating with them for the most part and only returning when he feels like it when he not only has a duty, but extreme worth to the tribe at home. And while I think that it's not like breeding is something that needs to happen regularly; post-Calamity, it might even be the opposite for many, but that doesn't erase the importance of his presence, and the simple rarity of males in general can potentially give him a far greater sense of worth than even an equally capable huntress or better. Wandering off from your tribe in general would likely not be seen as a very faithful thing to be doing to your family, let alone when it comes to someone of such extreme importance. Most tribes probably aren't THAT large. So if you have a total number of say 50 people, then you're looking at about 5 males in your tribe at best... and that's not including age, disfigurement or anything else that might disqualify one from the eligibility for the role. Unless you're in a massive, massive tribe then having a male of all people wandering off should be a rather serious issue, let alone an actual Nunh.
  3. I'm pretty sure Seekers with actual tribes are in the extreme minority so you shouldn't worry too much about that.
  4. Clover is being dumb and too self-conscious to post her art as usual ( ' v ' ) But I digress, here are two very recent pieces of hers that I am posting on her behalf. The first is a compilation of her female characters(that have a slot on Balmung at least) while the second is a commission she did for me of mine and her miqo'te characters.
  5. To me, it makes little sense other than IC arrogance to refer to oneself as 'Nunh' when you live apart from your tribe or go on these great travels and live a wonderful life of your own when they're supposed to be there looking after their tribe after proving themselves the most capable male hunter. Our one remaining Nunh has made a number of travels away from the tribe, but they were temporary by definition and only made in the greater interests of the tribe. Nunh isn't really a part of your name from what I can tell. So for this particular situation, it not unlike like abandoning your city one day and still expecting people to call you "Mayor Whomever" from my perspective.
  6. All of my characters do not need to be at end-game, geared to the most basic level or even RP'd to have a lot of worth and value to me. It cannot even be said that I 'really' RP with randoms considering I must have done it a total of five times at best. Plenty of my characters have remained little more than concepts waiting to be realised for a variety of reasons - largely for the fact that I am dependant upon my RP partner who herself is often very busy with other things. Regardless, that doesn't stop me from playing them, enjoying the aesthetic and posting screenshots inspired by their many individual stories - played or not. While I wouldn't begrudge anyone their own opinions or decisions regarding my request, it seems odd to me that anyone would bluntly refuse to offer their support because such a request wouldn't personally suit their own gameplay and RP habits. Were the reason simply that "this has no benefit to me and so I will not support it", then I could understand. Albeit I am not sure why the people who are interested are being held to your own personal standard. It's an unusual stance to me. Perhaps anyone in this topic does meet your criteria and it is that approach which you disagree with, though your post come across as a general and sweeping statement to me. In any case, thank you once again for all of the responses.
  7. Sorry, I didn't want you to have your hopes up over nothing!
  8. I-Isn't he chaining you while the Healer supercharges the Bard's arrow which is aimed at your incapacitated form which is then intercepted and captured by Alphinaud's Pokémon...?
  9. I'm not looking forward to how useless we're going to be in the cutscenes while everyone else does the fighting for us though. Primals and Gods have done much worse to us but Twelve help you if a fellow Scion is nearby.
  10. I did too, haha. I've only ever seen the pink-haired one in Idyllshire. I know there was one in Mor Dhona too but I forget what she looks like.... plus she was in Mor Dhona.
  11. *nods* I had actually completely forgotten he reached for a mask until you mentioned Ilberd and it rang that bell for me, haha. Why would you say that? Because it wasn't in the trailer. Wondrous Tails was not shown in the trailer nor was Deep Dungeon discussed in the actual Liveletter following the reveal of the trailer, so I don't think it's lack of presentation means anything in itself ^^ They kept it rather short this time so didn't allot any time for it I imagine since it's more of a niche interest.
  12. *grumbles* Also on that note, I do recall believing this guy may have been Ilberd at the time ~
  13. WHY WOULD YOU BRING MY ATTENTION TO THIS
  14. Why would you say that?
  15. That's all I do honestly, hahaha. Sometimes whenever I come to this site, I just think "Oh, I should post some old upload I guess" as a way of giving my characters some sense of continued presence on the forums and in the RP world.
  16. N-Not at all ^^a ;;;; Also, yes! It was fun to do despite my laziness when it comes to attempting edits, I had another made from before but it was less interesting and more embarrassing to show but either way I am thinking of doing it more often in the future. I hope the /gpose update will make that a LOT more accessible and viable, especially for coordinated efforts. Me and my friend will destroy the place with scenes, hahaha.
  17. It's nice that I can now purchase an apartment or two without having to worry about it being at the expense of anyone who has no home whatsoever so I will be looking forward to something else come 3.4, though I doubt I can call it preparation. I suppose you could say I am thinking of ways I might get out of work on the 27th though, haha.
  18. *nods* Say what you want about the housing issue as I am certainly inclined to agree, but I really have my doubts that there is anyone on Balmung with 8-16 houses on a single account, let alone one wishing to increase the number further should more slots be introduced.
  19. That's the Sipahi Turban, from Wanderer's Palace and Amdapor Keep, normal modes. Thank you for answering her for me! I had not visited the topic since ;;;; *Random Dump* ;
  20. I wouldn't dare suggest this should be high priority feature or that bigger things be pushed aside just to satisfy this one little element for a rather obvious minority, but it was simply my hope that it would not be the most difficult thing to implement and I wished to get Dev feedback at the very least. In any case, thank you all for your contributions so far ^^
  21. "....not quite what I was expecting, though still a step up from home" she spoke with a semi-pleased sigh. The lifeless form of the creature she had come to know as a 'Snapping Shrew' lay by the girl's feet as a frail, heap of flesh; out from beneath it's sandy skin, a single, well-placed arrow now freshly protruding from the side of it's neck. It was a fatty-looking creature to be sure, though one that would easily provide more than enough meat for the two of them to last the night, even if - admittedly - it had been the thrill of the hunt which she had been most eager find in these dusty outcrops, anything at all that might serve to help cement some sense of camaraderie between herself and K'rahto - the capricious Tia whom now stood but a short distance behind her with what she could only imagine to be a sullen expression. 'Drybone' as the Outsiders called it had at least offered much more interesting game. It of course went without saying that K'rahto's interests were surely no mere piqued than when they had started, his role in the end having served little more than to startle the creature out from the spiny thicket before K'nahli delivered a single, killing blow from afar. Her thoughtful stare began to burrow deeply into the carcass then, the mild satisfaction she had felt but moments ago quickly fading away beneath the weight of questions that ailed her. Had her efforts been entirely in vain? The Tia had said practically nothing since they began.... but then.... what else was it that she could have expected? His pride had been spit upon and thrown to the dirt. His reaction was nothing short of what she would expect from anyone else, but that it was K'rahto himself meant it could only go another step beyond. She was naive, she quickly realised. Very naive to believe that such a prideful being were ever going to simply forget such a thing so easily. The fine contours of the bow's wooden grain rolled firmly against her skin as her grip tightened. She could feel her gaze beginning to reach for him then, her visage somewhere at a loss between a colder apathy and a softer concern. Perhaps she could offer a small jest to lighten the mood or even complain on K'rahto's behalf, though... in the end she wouldn't make it as far as to so much as turn around and face the Tia; her thoughts - as so often was the case - never making it as far as her lips. Normally she would not be as talkative around anyone other than her dearest blood sister, but K'rahto's presence in particular demanded a particular form of... attentiveness. Even before the incident, her commentary would always be simple, just enough to fill the silences and keep either of them from overthinking matters - those many curious matters that had surrounded the pair's relationship over the past number of weeks. Unfavourable as things had turned out for each of them, she had felt that it were up to her to at least try; Twelve knew that K'rahto himself would not. Though, even then she could not help but wonder... was he any more aware of her intentions than she'd like? Did she sound as forced as the facade felt inside her mind, she wondered? She'd like to think not... to believe that she were not truly so weak and uncomfortable for merely being in his presence, though in truth, nor would she think herself experienced at handling such situations either. No, nothing had been easy ever since then. "...I don't know if we can bring this back, it might be best to eat before returning, but..." her voice would eventually follow after the previous while cutting herself off mid-sentence as twin streaks of maroon washed across the grey canvas above, the unfamiliar weather casting a sense of wariness and unease upon the girl's mind. Even with the inexperience K'rahto in particular carried with him in these northern territories of Thanalan, surely he needed no further hints as to the inevitable and coming, turn of the weather. Rain. An incredibly rare sight, and under any other circumstances, certainly a wondrous luxury to that of a desert-dwelling miqo'te. Though without a fire or even shelter, it's foreshadowing only bore a deepening concern within the huntresses mind. Nevertheless, she would await K'rahto's opinion.
  22. His reflexes were slower this time. Much slower. Her words were as sharpened steel to his throat, catching him even further off-guard and throwing his thoughts into disarray. Though soon enough he would recover, returning to that same bitter fury... the burning coals alight in the furnace and resembling that of the very same from which their first meeting had been forged. The girl would suddenly feel her feather-like weight being lifted slowly upward then with ungentle care, his strength clearly reserved, though just enough to force her upon to the balls of her feet. With the neckline of her shirt scrunched beneath the strength of the Xaelan's large, clenched fist, her face was brought much closer towards his now, his towering form - in part - compensating for their significant difference in height as he hunched over her menacingly, erasing all around them until nothing remained in either of their worlds but the other. "Who ARE you, Raen?"
  23. I do actually play my characters too, haha ^^a They're not just random models for the occasional screenshot. I am too shy to RP in public and my friend is seldom available to RP and is generally uncomfortable doing so in English to begin with. The reason they need to be on Balmung beyond the obvious factor of wanting to keep in contact with my friends on there(that Skype alone would not really satisfy) is simply because it is my home. I love how populous it is, I love how busy and alive the streets and cities are, I adore how it's madness and celebration when events roll around and the place is overloaded with everyone coming to spend some time in the festivities. I went to Gilgamesh once a long time back when it was more popular to test a character or something and the place was a ghost town ; It was horrible considering that was supposedly the second-most congested server on the Data Centre. I really don't want to be in such a bland and empty server and I'd happily pay upwards of the cost of an expensive mount per extra character slot if it meant staying on Balmung. As for the housing issue... while people may have multiple houses, I really doubt that anyone here really believes that there are people out there with a personal home on all 8 characters and can further exploit it by getting additional slots. Any damage alts can do to housing can already be done. It's simply impossible for that to be exaggerated any further on Balmung.
  24. An entirely new account would require the repurchase of each expansion and lock me out from logging in on a particular character even if it's just once for the whole month for a particular event quest or screenshots unless I paid a whole month's worth of a subscription. I don't really care about Veteran rewards myself but I'd also be unable to claim account-wide purchases or the double chocobo mount and I'd be relying on my friend to also go through such insane lengths. The double account prospect sounds incredibly enticing to have my own characters appear simultaneously for screens but certainly not worth that much, haha.
