  1. Attack on Titan's slated for the spring or summer 2014 season. I'll hunt down the link later, but it was probably on ANN if you want to save me the effort. There's really no limit to what I'll watch. Last season I was watching, or am still watching for those that are continuing, Attack on Titan, Watamote, Sunday without God, Hakkenden, Free!, Hunter x Hunter, Majestic Prince, and so on on Crunchyroll alone. Then there Monogatari Second Season, Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, Symphogear, Danganropa, and High School DxD on fansub. So, yeah, my tastes are rather... all over the place. Mecha, harem, violence, action, comedy, a little shounen-ai, some magical girl, and so on and so forth. To name my favorites would be a little... difficult? If I liked it, I bought it, and I don't have room for the ones I've got and there's more coming out all the time. I'm not so big on manga though. I read Naruto and Bleach after a few months so there's a nice backlog, but it's actually more because they never seem to end rather than that I don't like waiting. Every so often a new series will catch my attention and I'll read it, but I don't go looking for them.
  2. Older people also want to be young again, and the 20-30s are considered the prime of one's life, so it's not necessarily just the younger people playing in that age gap. It's more likely to be a younger person playing the creepy old pervert. Old men get enough grief for that in real life, so it's better to just play the younger, sexier version.
  3. Well, a quick google search indicates: http://xivmodels.com/. According to the info blurb, you can import your character and see how things look, and even create links to show it off to other people. I'm too lazy to try it out though.
  4. If you set up a monthly subscription you should get it as soon as they bill you. I set up the 180 month since it's technically as cheap as the basic 1 character per account thing, and got everything right away. I have no idea if buying crysta will do anything though.
  5. Seth's got an obsessive drive toward gaining power, which gives him tunnel vision of a sort, often causing him to take paths that are more difficult than others and blinding him to the consequences of his actions until they are put right in front of him. He's also cruel, suggesting things that others would be reluctant to, and generally ostracizing him from company he'd prefer to keep. He's the first to suggest throwing the frequent crazy Lalafell over the side of Limsa Lominsa, for instance. He's also got that creepy Black Mage vibe going on, with the black hooded cowl and the evil goatee thing. But he's also kind to women, children, and anyone with a reasonable sob story -- less so if he knows them well enough to have gotten a feel for them. So, unless he's in the pursuit of possible artifact of power number nine million and fifteen, he will drop what he's doing to help someone if they run up to him and plead their case -- like nearly every quest giver ever.
  6. I played a Human in WoW that was dating a Gnome, so I'm not all that judgmental about interracial couples. I could even tolerate a partner being a Froglok or Ratgona in EQ, but it would be so very weird. What I can't imagine dealing with is being with an Undead in WoW, even if they happen to look halfway decent. That's probably the one line I can't see myself crossing. Now, does that make me a pedo in the case of the Gnome or a furry/into bestiality with the Ratonga/Froglok? No, of course not. It's no different than dating another human of a different color, or hooking up with a vaguely humanoid alien when we eventually make contact. They're completely different boundaries, though someone will always make the comparison. I know a furry who views bestiality as sick, despite playing like he's an animal. Then again, a Lalafell will no doubt have to consider the fact that certain perverts from the larger races might look at them as children in some ways as a means of fulfilling their fetishes, but that's no different than Miqo'te having to be wary of the other races who may simply view them as exotic.
  7. I'm sure Mysterium will make it their focus before long to find out how to power purloined Magitek armor with pure Aetherial energies rather than relying on ceruleum, in order to gleefully stomp around in them and likely get stabbed as a result by some good-intentioned would-be hero.
  8. It also helps to set up your email client to display all the email data such as the return path and all. I'd tell you how to do it on thunderbird but.. I've forgot and can't find it at the moment. >.> Anyway, if the return path is exactly the same as the displayed email, chances are it's legit.
  9. Since they make references to just about everything else, I think you can safely assume that they have anything we do, and possibly more. They probably just have entirely different mixed drinks, or just different names. White Coerthas instead of White Russian? Screwdriver can probably remain the same. So on and so forth.
  10. I think that's a pretty normal reaction for just about anyone, in RP or RL. Most people can't just walk up to a random group of people and start talking, and if they do, the random group's more likely to stare at the random stranger who thinks they can just walk up and start talking to them for no reason. Those rare social butterflies, or those who think of themselves as social butterflies, who can do that without a care are usually used to being given the cold shoulder. Anyway, you're not the only one for sure.
  11. When I logged in last night, I got a queue of 250. I about gave up, but then just a few seconds later it ushered me in, so... not sure what that's about.
  12. Alright, nevermind. I found it. My bluray player software on my computer's crap, but when I put it in my PS3 I could use the pop-up menu. It's in the extra section. There's a helpful little note in your case, less helpful for the fact that it's in Japanese, that tells you to use the pop-up menu to access the other stuff. So... yay.
  13. I know, I know. I said I wasn't going to get it but I did anyway. Moving on... I can't find the remastered 'A New Beginning' on the disc. I'm loving the music but I was curious how extra sexy the video would be.
  14. The gil sellers have also arrived. I've gotten three tells in the last half hour.
  15. Like FW and others said, it ultimately comes down to what the plot and player dictates as their preferred end result. But for those that don't want the wound to be healed for whatever reason, there happens to be plenty of reasons it can't be done. An injury could have been created by something evil, leaving a bit of itself behind in the wound, a corruption that festers. You can heal the wound but it never seems enough to close it or reduce the infection within it. This is the sort of thing you'd go with if there's someone/something you have to defeat down the line, that by destroying it you can ultimately remove the bit of it that is inside you. Regular visits to your resident conjurer will still be needed to do what little can be done until you can do so. Another way, an enemy has booby-trapped the wound. Maybe they did it while you were unconscious or are just that good to do it while you're facing off with them. If anyone tries to heal you, the trap goes off, turning their spell into one that will kill you. Oh, the drama. Fortunately for you, the conjurer in question is able to see the trap just in time (*hint, hint*) and now you need to either kill the person that set the trap or find someone talented enough to dismantle it without killing you. Unfortunately, it's a bit hard to do this as an adventurer because you're going to be healed occasionally in teams and dungeons, and it sucks to never be in the dungeon group IC when everyone else is RPing. That's just a couple of examples. I do so enjoy playing villains, so I can be a right bastard at coming up with twisted ideas.
  16. *claps* That was pretty awesome.
  17. Ninja: Thief (30) -> Pugilist/Archer (15)
  18. It's simply a matter of them not being able to differentiate between those that are creating alts on the server and those that are creating a character for the first time. It's not the number of characters but rather the number of connections that they are trying to avoid. The character creation lock is meant to push those making their first character toward other servers.
  19. I doubt it would help much. It's rather easy for some to set up a simple little bot or the like to regularly hit a key every so often while they lurk in their inn room to avoid getting punted. It only takes one person putting it on reddit or a similar site to have every one of the AFKers using it. So, yeah, it might help very briefly but it's by no means a fix.
  20. I'm sure they just copy/pasted the JP announcement like the last couple times, without changing the details to be relevant to us.
  21. While the core of the Scions is small, I seemed to think it was implied that they're basically collecting all the people with Echos since they mention others aside from their leader and the hero of the story. Momodi also seems to think they're moving in earnest... as in recruiting loads of capable adventurers to their cause. So while they may have been small originally, that could be changing. So, yeah, I wouldn't complain about that so much as someone actually mentioning they're part of it since it's supposed to be a secret organization of sorts.
  22. When you reply with the quote, just put a /quote in brackets after each section and a quote in brackets before the next section. That creates those individualized quotes, between which you can put your comments. Just be sure to preview the post before you do it so you can be sure it's right.
  23. 'Cause cursing equals mad now, right? It couldn't possibly just be that it's a regular part of his vocabulary and comes up in just about every one of his posts. By that logic, he only ever posts angry. AND when we have conversations about anything, he's only doing it in a very angry and upset fashion because the amount of "fucks" he uses. ...Seriously, that doesn't mean anything and once again you're not adding anything to the conversation in an attempt to "troll" the people who disagree with the topic of this thread. It's not working and everyone can see what you're doing. And I'm going to continue to call you out on it every fucking time. Because just as much as people have a right to agree with this shit, people have a right to disagree. :bomb: I. Have. No. Interest. In. The. Thread. I don't know how much more obvious I can make it. I tried to emphasize what I perceived one comment was about, after coming to the conversation late. That's it. I get that you want to defend your friends and back them up, but it's really not needed. But you've succeeded in driving me off. I'm done. Congratulations. You win. Yay.
  24. It is just you. Also, the idea that "only a rare few actually feel the way that (I) do" because Velkyron got one rep point and Myxie got 15 is a ridiculous statement. There are plenty of people who have expressed similar sentiments that have gotten rep points, I'm sure. Also, not everyone likes the rep system. Furthermore, her post has been around for a lot longer than Velkyron's, which has been around for about an hour. So using that comparison as an accurate representation of opinion is foolish to say the least. I won't get into your assumption that I'm easily offended, because frankly, it's just you who thinks that again. I will say your lalafell will not push my buttons because I don't really get how that character is offensive. To anyone. I don't even know why you thought was interesting enough to bring up. So, what we've learned here is that your entire debate structure is based on "U mad bro?" and has no real relevance to anything. Is that what I'm doing? Hm, news to me. I just tried to clarify what I believed to be the point someone else was making, while tamely chastising someone for assuming that they are being hostile. But if you say so, I suppose I'll believe you. I wasn't even aware I had joined in on the debate but merely tried to moderate a bit where I wasn't wanted. A bad tendency of mine, I suppose.
  25. It's not a "rare" few. Her sample size is absolutely fucking tiny, and doesn't account for overlap. We have no concrete data on just how many people find this particular notion favorable or unfavorable. We don't even have a reliable way to gauge it. Don't start talking about numbers if you don't have the numbers. I'm impressed I had that much of an impact on you that you felt the need to curse at me. I'm also amazed that you found that I was suggesting anything to do with numbers when I was merely clarifying what someone else seemed to be suggesting.
