Mateus and Balmung are the main RP servers on the Crystal data center. I'm sure you can find RP on other servers/worlds but it's on those two in abundance. I just checked on both and both are currently congested, meaning you can't make new characters on those worlds. However you are able to visit those worlds as long as you have a character in the server those worlds belong to, being Crystal. I know that's a bit of information but I hope that helps, if you need clarification on anything let me know

Hi and welcome to the RP community. Something that helped me when I first began RPing was basically to immerse yourself in the world and really think about your character. For example what are their hobbies, what do they excel at, what they're hindered by? What are their drives, their faults? I know that's alot in one sitting but you can just take it one step at a time, at your pace. Just think about the type of character you want to play as, and start from there. What also helps is learning the lore of the game. There are tabs I believe on this site dedicated to discussing/learning about the lore in the game, but here's a site that can potentially help as well below. The more you learn about the world and its history, the better you're able to immerse your character in it! RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium-Heavy Views on RP combat and injuries: Can do roll or ffa, don't mind either as long as it's at a controllable level. Injuries, permanent wise anyways, would have to be discussed beforehand. As far as perma-death goes, nay. Views on IC romance: If the plot and development leads to it sure I don't mind. But not something I'm actively searching for. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Friends, associates, rivals, I'm all for it. I had this same problem when I first started with carrd, and with making my own characters' backstories as a matter of fact. What helps me is that I like to have a general summary of my character's story: their past, and what they may be up to now. You don't have to go into major detail about it, just strike the key points in your story that you feel are important for the reader to know. All the details in between you could leave up to interpretation to come up potentially in any RP you do. As for what kind of RP you're into and the topics you don't like, or the ones you feel others might not be comfortable doing, I would put that information into a separate tab, one that could describe your RP preferences, do's and don'ts, etc. I hope this helps you!

Another bump! Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe! Still looking for contacts and I've yet another character in the works to add to my roster lol

I can't say for others, but in my experience I have seen a few RP FCs on other servers outside of Balmung and Mateus, such as in Brynhildr, Coeurl, and even Goblin. That being said, the amount of RP FCs on servers such as these is- and again, in my own experience, not nearly as much as on the big RP servers. Taking this into consideration, RP FCs and people are definitely there, but you'd have to really go looking for them.
