  1. Then aim for the Zenith. Just offered my two piece of thought from the view you were concerned about getting into T4.
  2. I'm assuming you're a black mage? You have the regular relic weapon so either keep it or try to knock out extremes. The chestpiece is far more needed if your static will be working on T4. T1-T2 (T3 is a joke) you can get away with having not met the accuracy cause its there to gear you but T4 and T5 you must meet the ACC requirement or you're not gonna get the turn done.. So if you know what you need for range try to aim close for it and get the rest via food. I looked around for a ACC cap and it seems to be somewhere 432-451. I would aim for the 451 for turn 4/5 to avoid any misses. Turn 4 is a pure DPS race along quick thinking for tanks. Turn 5 is a endurance test while meeting trying to beat the hard enrage. ACC is pretty important as you'll want to land every hit.
  3. Words. to wipe to. Lmfao pretty much. I laughed hard at this no offense to anyone. >.< Yeah our community sucks. I kinda wish we were like the Japanese, I hear they use PF for practice and DF for serious raiding (WEIRD RIGHT?!) And they're super super polite and full of manner in both.
  4. <.< I do this towards the end of the week but only cause I'm frustrated with the amount of times I've had to run extremes. People who usually leave these kind of messages tell the party straight up if they die a certain amount of times they're being booted, cold method but eh what can you do?
  5. -hughughughughug!- Now in response to the OP and anyone who reads this post. Since you're having difficulty finding a learning run or people willing to help and such without the whole "OMERGAWD KNOW THE DAMN FIGHT, WILL QUEUE IFFY, ILVL90." crap. Should a LS be created dedicated to helping people learn and get primal extreme runs down? Note, Balmung's Finest might be doing this though I have no idea if they are or aren't.
  6. Before entering a thing I have not done--or committing to entering a thing--I do research. This was more an illustration of how far removed I am from even being a part of the EX Primal fights. :3 Also, I tend to learn by doing--and, frankly, the inference that "why aren't you using the videos" equates to some sort of baffling disorder is a bit angering to me. Ah! My apologies for totally misunderstanding that Steel. Pretty much the same here. I only use the video to grasp a sense of things otherwise I learn by doing as well.
  7. Also just stating for anyone who isn't aware. Primals don't have a ACC cap that needs to be met and if they do it is really low. (I have a FC mate who went as low as 350 ACC and never missed in primals.) So you can switch you gear around to get the most dps/parry you can to be optimal. ACC isn't a concern for primals at the time being, can change in 2.2 but for now it isn't.
  8. Pretty much what I said in my eariler posts except better said. We should bop heads sometime. If enough people are interested this can be done. I wouldn't mind making a LS for people.
  9. Just curious; why would you go into something blindfolded? I'd understand if you were a progression raider/content was just released but its been out for a while now. I can only guess for excitement? The info is there to help make things easier and seem not so scary so why not use it?
  10. The only thing PF is gonna get 50/50 chance of getting done is Garuda and Ifrit Extreme. DF only promises a 50/50 chance of getting Ifrit down only. Titan will always be a (in my opinion) a promised wipe run for both. Unless you're gonna queue up during Japanese prime time DF it ain't worth it for Titan. If you jump right on it when 2.2 is released I honestly see you having no problem getting Leviathan killed a couple a times, might not get the weapon but you'll have killed it. Everyone will be rushing to learn the fight and spamming her for loot the first few weeks as with any content released and progression. I only see a problem if Leviathan extreme requires you do complete all the old primal extremes first. I don't get why they demand perfection when they are bleh themselves. I Really hate those guys who set a god damn high ilvl requirement yet have a lower ilvl themselves. Like no jerk, I ain't gonna carry your ass to a free win. Best bet would be a LS with confident people or have confident friends to bang on primals extreme till you learn and get it down. (By confident I mean they won't be bailing anytime soon or losing hope or something.) You can hit me up if you need a WAR/BRD. I'm more than down half the time to help with learning runs for a bit, ask Aeriyn she is mah proof. I know the fights well and can offer any tips and tricks here and there for tanking/dps. I thought about using my social hub LS or just making a LS dedicated for this type of situation people would have but I'm not sure if it kick off the ground. >.< Cause it sucks you know when you're starting late or whatever reason and are unable to catch up and complete content.
  11. My loladin(I call my subclass pld loladin) rotation is normal combo on the main focus of the party, keeping CoS up and just spamming flash, I usually keep hate pretty well, unless a SMN or BLM is in the group then I'll do the swap targeting stuff.. :3 But I'm a derp as a paladin just thought I'd share that. You can add me to your friends list if you want despite me being your mortal tank rival! Mwuahaha! -raises axe- I've been thinking about making a LS something similiar to Balmung's Finest but with the primary focus assisting players who are unable/learning to do Trials (hardmodes/extremes) but at the same time making sure they are learning the mechanics and their class roles for whatever reasons, like yours Steel. This has been floating in my head the past month or so as I run into people who still need help with stuff.
  12. I think it is! Perhaps we can assist this fellow Balmungion with the stuff they need sometime.
  13. Yoshi has said very very very little about personal housing and this is probably because its no where near ready for whatever reason. He stated in one of his live letters that it would be a (Estimate)year after the release of Free Company housing.
  14. You shouldn't be afraid of these dungeons. They really aren't that crazy hard for tanks. Just watch video guides and normal videos of the fights you wanna do, pay attention to everything going on first then pay attention to what the tanks are doing. You'll notice its not all that scary, yes you have to learn and develop your own style to handling things but your role isn't that scary if you know what to expect and idea on how to counter it. Don't care what others say that have this new gen mmo "raider" attitude, ignore them and continue to learn. Crystal tower is REALLY easy, my FC calls it Casual Tower so don't worry about that, go in and lewt. I'm a WAR tank with a 50 PLD tank i use for loling but I'm a tank nonetheless and I've pretty much tanked everything so far I think so if you ever have any questions about how to go about a fight or something you can PM me if you want and I'll offer the best advice I can.
  15. I wouldn't worry about it if you're not crazy into PvE endgame content. when 2.2 comes out which is like.. perhaps the end of march? Coil will be getting a 'echo' buff for the Coil T1-T5 to make it easier. Just learn the fights by whatever method you can and enjoy it until it gets uber easy.
  16. If you're looking to poke into Coil ASAP (Which Yoshi has stated its contents will be the hardest in the game for now.) I wouldn't neglect gear just because it has something you dislike for example, a cowl. Only gimping yourself and hurting the rest of the team plus it only requires philo tomes to buy it which.. aren't a big deal haha and you could easily just grind myth for 2 weeks and obtain the BLM i90 chestpiece which is better than the CT stuff. If you really dislike the cowl, you could just equip the DL gear for hard dungeons and raids only and then swap to something you prefer on downtime, I use to do that. Heck I still do, just with snowman gear now. Actually, trying for two separate pieces ends up working out to a stat gain. Sure, CT promises you a loot item of your choice, sure but how many runs would you have to do just for that item piece to drop and also have a small chance of losing to another player? Yeah tis a stat gain but it'd be much more easier to just grind myth tomes to get a i90 myth piece and use that with another piece of gear you have saved. Its offers more stats than a CT gear + HM dungeon.. But thats my thought on it, it can be simply ignored.

  18. Eh. I'm pretty Lassiez Faire about the whole thing. If you can't get past Turn 2 the regular way, you won't make it past Turn 4 anyway. Pretty much what Liadan has said, sadly if you don't have 7 friends or a FC willing to teach the intended way of handling Turn 2 you won't get far in T4. Just throwing this random piece of info out there but I noticed (yesterday to be exact) That Cad can be singled tanked with a WAR with 8k+ hp and can handle its own CDs well with the same raid comp idea for T2 enrage strat. Only discovered this after the MT died and I tanked a enraged Cad with 8 stacks for over a minute with two healers. But this wouldn't benefit raiders at all for the real fights like T4 and T5 unless they can do coil regularly without evening flinching. Despite learning this and sharing it, I and hope majority here prefer to do raids as intended first and know it like the back of my hand and flawlessly kill the boss before even trying these cheap easy methods discovered to kill bosses easier. Its more fun and provides skills, no?
  19. For people having poor connection, try WTFast ( http://www.wtfast.com/ ) with this configuration : It solves most of problems and is free for a month. Sorry for side tracking the OP's topic but when I saw this I was interested and thought I'd give it a try cause sometimes my internet gets bleh for a hour or so and its annoying, especially atm with some kind of problem Verizon is having it. Thanks for showing this, tried it and I noticed small performance increase!
  20. *doesn't cook dinner* Starve! I should really know better by now...
  21. Not trying to be a butt as I would love to stroll down memory lane of WoW's good times but I'm gonna be a butt. Kinda swaying off-topic from OP's subject. >_> Future congrats to anyone who gets their relic thanks to USH and awesome to see more FCs helping people with their relic quests.
  22. Indeed! Much as I remain uncertain as to the overall balance of Melee versus Ranged in this game, ESPECIALLY in PVP where we need specific abilities, as Melee, to SOMETIMES counter an ability that everyone but us can abuse, I'm rather reassured by the number of posts claiming that, especially in Coil, Dragoons are desired. Maybe the situation is not hopeless. Which isn't to say that it's QUITE fair, but I'm certainly not about to quit playing Dragoon. I can't speak much towards PvP, as I don't engage in it, but what I do remember of leveling Lancer and Pugilist (for Archer) left me with the feeling that Melee would be boned by PvP. Primarily because there's something really strange with the hitbox - it's buggy and extremely small, relative to other games I've played. So I could see that with Sprint, that's an issue, especially since it comes off CD faster than your counter skill does. On the other hand, Melee can do a lot to interrupt a caster simply by being close to them (and while healers do have some "get away from me" spells, they do have CDs). There is no issue with the hitbox PvP wise except for sharp turn sprints around the corner on dividers but that is tricky to do and I commend anyone doing it well. The jump glitch which will be fixed soon is the only problem melee vs PvP wise. Not as much with interrupts as you think unless you're a bard or duo barding it but they aren't melee.
  23. PvP wise Dragoons can be deadly if played. One of the reasons mentioned is because of the CDs they have which.. have to be timed well. I don't know all the dragoon PvP skills except for the disabling sprint one. Anywhoooo... From what I have seen (I know the pain of melee PvP wise as I'm a warrior) If Dragoons have someone excluding tanks just.. for some reason standing still for even 2 seconds I've noticed Dragoons tear that stationary person up or that is the case in low ranking brackets. Don't dragoons also have invigorate if I recall? Sprinting shouldn't be a big deal if so especially if you have enliven(?) also but I wouldn't have a dps chasing a healer like that until a blm or smn is dead, leave the healer to CC'd or get pressured by a tank. Also! Melee will be better once Yoshi gets off his stuff and gives us the 2.1.5 patch he spoke of. Can't give any opinions raid wise as I don't pay much attention to my dragoon though I would personally have one for the reasons stated above by others in raids.
  24. I'm down for a LS like this to be made though I do get a little serious in PvP (in past mmos) I am not giving a flying pig's bottom about win/lose ratio until they fix PvP and add a ranking system or something but I'd like a nifty amount of wars. D: Want that PvP gear son.
