  1. I've seen random RP at the markets in both Gridania and Ul'dah. And at the Inn in Ul'dah. It was quite awesome. And then ten million gil spams and messages.
  2. Don't worry honey, you're the only Roe for me. *playfully giggles* But on topic, I think we're only seeing a small microcosm of the Miqo'te lifestyle and such and more of Ul'dah life than such.
  3. Ahem, what? Not yet? *sweat-drop* With Lost, I get a -lot- of women (or at least people playing as women, no clue real life gender) telling me she is pretty, beautiful, one has went to the lengths to get on her knee and kiss the back of my hand. The cutest and strangest one was when a Lalafell did it too. lol As for other things, I just think it's accepted in their society, isn't much of an issue, and they're in Ul'dah, land of wealth, deceit, and prostitution.
  4. We're all also forgetting that the Miqo'te you play as are not part of a tribe as a whole as they're away from their lands. So in short, most males will be Tia or attempting to be a Nunh. As well, we're also forgetting cross-species relationships, it is possible. And as I said before, the whole courtesan thing, feels more like an Ul'dah specialty. I've seen non-Miqo'te prostitutes in the Ul'dah lands, mmhm. A nice Midlander Hyur told me to stay away from those two, they gave him crotch rot.
  5. I, sir, take offense! Siobhain is sexy! She's super sexy! She's just... a certain type of sexy. Isn't it up to us to maybe Roegadyns more sexy? Can't say for Elezen since I don't play one. Lost River... Let's have both our Roes be caught in Ul'dah and sold off as slaves. I think it'd be pretteh fantastic. Lost: Oh nuuuu~! No, seriously, hands off or I magic you into the next life. Sio: HULK SMASH! Now now love, we can't go in that territory, even though it'd be quite a juicy story, but I don't think these forums appreciate that type of tale. They can only fantasize. But now, I want to get a picture of Lost in a kimono smoking a kiseru. Complete with it being 'open' and low cut. With her saying something like. "How do I look?" Or with her usual accent "Ow'd 'eh 'ook, luv?"
  6. Because I could want to, and I know playing DPS will have a longer queue. But when that queue goes past the norm as to what a DPS is (as I posted originally) I decided to say something about it. I don't mind waiting 15 - 35 minutes for DPS, but when that nearly stretches into a two hour mark, something isn't right.
  7. I'll tank whenever I want to. Sure, I'll help but I have to be on as Lucinne first!
  8. With all of that, I think all those Miqo'te make it big in Ul'dah or at least try. And pssh, maybe Lost River should try her best as a courtesan. But, more of an Asian flair to it, yeah! Giant lady in a kimono.
  9. With me, I also think it comes with the territory. Mainly in Ul'dah you'll see the underbelly slum. Almost like Babylon, Jabba's Palace from Star Wars, and a few other historic pieces in the middle east. So prostitution would be more suitable in such a place, it does have a nation focusing on Power and Wealth. As well as a crime syndicate. Also, I think it goes with their race (species), after all, they are not of the human species, so in aspect, not all of their attributes will be entitled to a human mindset. As well as the time it's associated with, prostitution and such was more common place as well seen as power. The game also has it's dark spots too, as does real life. Do I find it bad with such a FATE? No, unfortunate but not bad. Also remember what happens to the parties that go to the dungeons? I do, so grimly. As for sexy Roes. You have one right here. *flexes her sexiness* Also, cats are promiscuous biologically, so why can't Miqo'te share that feline trait?
  10. All three of my characters would fit in it. Although Lost River might be a bit of a curiosity as she comes from the previous catastrophe and it has colored her insight. But, they are. Lost River, Lucinne Jandalaine, and Orella Blackthorne.
  11. A lot of people are speculating around 300K+ gil for housing. But you can have LS/FC housing AND personal. And personal you can invite people over. Looks like you're the one moving in then!
  12. You don't know the power of Cid, no one can understand it. it's so powerful, people in game (NPCs) will make references to other Cid's. More namely, FFVII Cid, they could have sworn he was taller and smoked cigars.
  13. We'll more than likely, if we get one, will get one as I said during the Golden Saucer time. I wonder if it'll include awkward dates too as a mini-game. Cloud x Barret, I'm jus' sayin'.
  14. Well, I have one. You have me, so there you go. You have the tattoo. Just not on you. *presses against Sio* now you do! But, I can always get you a lick'it tattoo and slap it on. Honorary 1.0 player. :3
  15. Can ride my shoulders all day and night. Well, other things aside. A'hur. Honey, tsk tsk, the saddle goes on it's back, not it's face. While that'd be one crazy ride, it isn't the most effective. As for it is, there might be new mounts added of such. We have magitek mounts, I don't see why a bike can't be added. If they do, it'll probably be a diesel punk style one from FFVII. Especially more so seeing as they're adding the Golden Saucer which -does- have the snowboarding mini-game.
  16. Tell me more! The Catalyst Project is simple, really. You take a sentient (non-monstrous but more manipulative voidsent) such as like the one in the THM story. But instead of letting them possess you, you merge with them. It destroys their semblance of sentient thought, you gain extra aetheric power, but the side effects is it colors your personality to a different shade, makes you grow a little more 'mad' and in some cases, mutates your physical form. Generally eye color turning to red is the first indication. You basically consume the voidsent to gain it's power. :3 It being a Catalyst as it's the first part of the transformation. It's a power grab to gain the power of old Black Mages... and of course, meteor, meteor, meteor.
  17. Oh waifu! I didn't know you wanted a mount, I have this Floating Eye for you! Wait, you don't want to be high, so a voidsent, yes yes! Riding the mount of pure evil into battle! But on a serious note, I think they were numerous enough to have as a mount. To get one as a mount, I believe they're semi-intelligent more so than other beasts, so I take the bonding would take a special strong willed individual. Game limitations and such, remember 1.0 was more of an alpha experiment instead of an actual game.
  18. Were they there? Yes. Were they playable characters? No. I give the benefit of the doubt due to game mechanic limitations at the moment of 1.0, it is alright to play as a race/gender that wasn't present as playable during the time of the game to -be- one from the past war. Why? Because that's gender/race bias if not. It also makes no sense at all to only include them now. So, a stretch of lore past game limitation wins for me! And yes, Lost was there, no, she didn't win. But she did start over the Catalyst Project once she went Back to the Future.
  19. All fairness aside, it's possible. Does it have to be inhumanly large size group? No. A large gathering, one suitable for killing a boss. Yes. I'd say, 24+ people. Like the raid for Crystal Tower. It'd also make sense if you had a trophy. Can the Primal be killed over and over? Sure it can! It's a summoned being, it makes it's flesh from aether. So yes, you can have multiple people killing it over and over again. Will that tarnish some meaning? It may if you want permanency, but it also makes it that much dire. With each killing, you lose more people. Be it either slain to the Primal or Tempered by it. It's as some NPCs say. A war of attrition and one you're losing!
  20. Hehe, of course you'll judge me waifu, it's why you married me. Remember? Or was that the intense amount of liquor talking! Lost remembers the battle, being a BLM, she was enthralled, but hey, she's a BRD now. That's another story for another time. :3
  21. Wait, I remember that with Lost... but it makes zero sense, as she couldn't exist due to not be- Guess I'll skip game limitations and go with that she was there. Woot, more mystery for Lost... and craziness. It also means with I said applies and makes more sense though, you're either from the past -or- you're a new person imbued with the power of those fallen. So, Warriors of Light are more or less, Exalted from White Wolf's game, Exalted. :3
  22. Well, as for me, if you're looking for (this applies to everyone reading this) RP with me, don't be afraid to add: Lost River, Lucinne Jandalaine, or Orella Blackthorne. Add all three, got to collect them all! I might make a special LS for Lost and not a FC, as it's something else more 'secretive'. The Catalyst Project. :3 Everyone gets amazing black linkpearls!
  23. With how it goes and from my interpretation, it's set up with the goal of making you feel like a hero, regardless of coming from before or later. It's why it's murky and not an exact "You are from the past." sort of bit, but more of a "I think you are." Hydalen works in mysterious ways, so I think it's a safe assumption to say you could be either/or honestly. As you're allowed to recreate your 1.0 character or keep them the same, seeing as how it goes. It'd make more sense, you're either a survivor or you're a new person imbued with the same power as before from the fallen warriors. Lost River has an amazing 1.0 tattoo, but of course, you couldn't play as female Roegadyn in 1.0. Now, we can play the guessing game as to what she originally was. :3
  24. Well, as far as how things go, I haven't had anyone complain to me while tanking as either a PLD or WAR as Lucinne, except once.. a DPS who apparently "knew it all" yet he died twice during the whole time for trying to be a tank himself. *laughs* You don't attack stuff -no one else- is attacking and drag the aggro across the whole area and expect me to get it back immediately.
