  1. The length is just as short as the second one while the first one felt like it dragged on too much. We need a sweet spot for this; the main character is a bit of a sarcastic smart-ass, Buuuut, thats also because of his raising plus his age. Cole was a lot older than Delsin. I like it so far, but wish there was more to the enemy variety other than DUP this, DUP that.
  2. They must also apparently love losing money, too. They only have 1 40 man raid done, they'll be making more based on how this one does. Its an experiment because some people (a vocal few actually) want large scale raids coupled with smaller raids as well. Carbine is just trying to cater to those who want. They are also very close with the RP community too; they added the RP button and other things of the like as well as a toggle for those who don't care about RP too. So we'll see how it all is!
  3. They'll add smaller raids too; but this is from the EverQuest people that are in Carbine. They love massive everything.
  4. For me, my second MMO other than FFXIV will be... WILDSTAR! I'm playing the beta; so much I actually bought the whole special edition! I'll be making a first impressions blog here soon on both sides. Hope you enjoy reading it! I'll post pretty pictures too!
  5. Yea, I have a 1.0 FFXIV security token as well. The batteries in those things are amazing.
  6. From the looks of it; just like transmogrificaton with the need to use a crystal to do it instead of solely gil. I personally do not mind it whatsoever as they chose to go that route to keep class confusion down. I would have preferred a RIFT way in terms of mix-match whatever armor set you want, but I can live with these choices. As for TERA; from that, it was all spend -real money- to do such a thing, well more so now than ever as it's now free to play. WoW's transmog is solid and keeps to limitations of the class. RIFT's vanity set is solid as well and offers more variety in choice; it also focuses on the fluidity of the soul system (makes sense). So, FFXIV is copying WoW in this regard, it isn't what all RPers want, but it may can change in the future. As for weapons changing types? If it wasn't a cosmetic skin, it wouldn't work due to the animations that are typed to jobs for weapon types. Imagine healing with a sword as if it was a two-hand staff? You'd reach up and grab the blade due to how the animation rigs the skeleton of the weapon. So, in favor of the glamour system? I am; it isn't what I wanted (I wanted more of a RIFT way), but being with the transmog system from WoW? I'm fine with that too.
  7. *foams at the mouth and falls over on the ground convulsing* WHUT!?! Awesome!
  8. And the double-postage of awesome happened. Yes, welcome!
  9. Yes, we always need more Roes. Its great to have more of us coming to be; people are finally understanding the beauty of being tall, proud, and strong. WOOT!
  10. Hints at new classes, new races, the vanity, a new primal. We better get a Leviathan Egi and it better be effin' adorable!
  11. We don't know until we see her without all that robe stuff on. Could be a bunny eared horned person too for all we know. But if it is a new playable race, watch it appear in 3.0.
  12. The elementals can and do forgive; if they didn't, during the whole necromancy stint, there would be no white mages ever afterward. Period. So, yes, I do believe (but with a lot of effort) can be done.
  13. I'd do more work with Experimental Style; It reminds me of character portraits for some spin-off titles of Final Fantasy and other things; the thick lines and bright colors really pop. Great work, I'd like to see more full body art with the experimental style.
  14. From my understanding; White Mages in the past became Necromancers and Black Mages thought it was fun to recast Meteor over and over; it was aether abuse. Hence why both classes are rare (until now); with the whole plotline of war and the calamity, we need both in large quantities with the Empire and Primals screwing everything up. With the whole questline, as I've RPd and such, there isn't a special snowflake, the only exception would be the Azure Dragoon, but you can still be a jumpy aether manipulating dragoon; but each of the personal quests, I see it as a NPC's "First of Many" approach, as it makes more viable sense. But as for the whole bit; being evil and such and a white mage is bad if you ever want to go to gridania.
  15. Welcome back! Enjoy the festivities and insanity this RPC brings! Woot Woot!
  16. I've honestly never RP'd the section mainly due to it is areas that are repeatable without a repeating type monster (i.e. Titan and such; they can be respawned/resummoned) while some of the end bosses of dungeons cannot. I tend to be "game mode" in dungeon. Buuut, if we come up with our own story as to why we're there and RP outside of it, I'm fine. But, its more of the whole time limit on top of it. And rarely I have full groups to RP with, most are randoms.
  17. Seeing as the architect for the PS4 is almost like a PC; almost fully identical to the point of calling it a PC with limited OS is appropriate. BUUUUT, the good news, at least owners of the PS3 version get a free upgrade!
  18. I'm excited for this and not at the same time; its a double edge sword, but to evolve you must grow. I'm glad I was capable of getting a PS4 (and not be price gouged) so I will be getting FFXIV for my PS4 so I can play PS4 in the living room too. Buuuuut, for those who cannot afford and those who cannot -find- a PS4 at the moment, this is good/bad news. Because their PS3 copies will be covered up until the end of the first expansion apparently. So, its time. Time to buy a new console (or stick to PC anyway. PC <3)
  19. Oooh, pretty pictures! And yay, troll women!
  20. Its because they are all genetic alterations from their superior core Roegadyn species; yes, yes. They were engineered to add diversity to the world. I kid, I kid. Buuut, the whole engineering thing brings a curious light though.
  21. Orella is improving on her don't invade my personal space or you get punched attitude. Wow, a lot of people here are all "Nuuuu dun touch me." Time for Lost River to fix that! (or make it worse).
  22. As I have many characters, I'll give each of their responses: Lost River doesn't mind to be touched nor does she mind touching others; she at times has no idea of the concept of a "personal space bubble" and everything is hands on. After all, She's kissed Siobhan in public. Orella Blackthorne is the exact opposite; she doesn't like anyone to invade her personal space and when they do, they tend to get a violent response. She's not haughty or afraid, but not much of a people person past business of fighting. Lucinne Jandelaine is a mix of the two; she doesn't go out of her way to invade personal space, nor does she welcome it. But she doesn't mind touch, hug and such; she's a romantic at heart, so it is to be expected. Ophelia Rainteau is much like Lucinne, but she is more of a "here and now" kind of person, her romances are quite fleeting at best, no one has been able to tame the "wandering wood" as she has been nicknamed before, perhaps that can change. Senah Fashonti is the last of the group; complicated and quite booksmart, but when it comes to social situations, she is curious and a bit afraid. She doesn't know how to respond, tends to fluster and blush at the curious situations of being touched; as well, she has had herself act like a cat before and embarrassingly elongated words and make cat-like noises when surprised.
  23. Yush, its gewd to be backs. :3
  24. Woot! While I play those other games; I made enough I can play FFXIV again!:love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:
  25. I work every weekend, so those are always no-go for me though until after 10 PM EST.
