So the general consensus for me is, aside from the Azure Dragoon, you can be a Dragoon, use those abilities and such due to aether manipulation. As for White Mages, the NPC(PC) hero of the story was the first and they are now teaching white healing en masse to those capable and understanding of its power due to the new need of it. Its an age of conflict after a previous devastation, so the whole limitation of White Mages is silly and I treat the plotline as "first of many", as for Dragoon, as its an one item that makes you it; you cannot be the leader, BUUUUUUT you can still be a Dragoon with all the jumpy powers you can handle.

Aether manipulation, Chakra and such makes it suitable. Just no one is the Azure Dragoon; but you can all be jumpy sorts of Dragoons; I see why not. As for the Azure Dragoon questline; for some reason, this game comes to mind; Why couldn't they have wings too? As for such, I wouldn't say it more of a focus mastery; but mastery of the self. Dedication, natural aptitude (in spellcasters), or a mixture of both. So in such, those who are adventures and such (the PCs), their aptitude to manipulate aether is stronger. I can't play today due to weather conditions (in GA), so of course, the freezing weather can potentially screw it up even more. And before any bread and milk jokes; as well as people not able to handle it, remember, it rarely snows in GA, let alone freezing rain. But yes, also this state has a lot of morons too.

Due to reasons outside of my control; I can no longer afford to play FFXIV so I have suspended my time on the game until I am able to play once more. My logging in has been scarce this year as it is, so it is also a double good thing; I may miss a few events, but it allows me to get away from that burn that all MMOs will endure; player fatigue. I am although -not quitting- FFXIV, I didn't when it was 1.0 and I don't plan to now, but I cannot afford it currently, so I will be taking a break from the game. This community has been awesome so far and I plan on staying; just don't expect to see me in game for a bit.

The Secret World is Buy To Play, I suggest looking into it if you want an MMO that plays more like a multiplayer adventure game. It's niche in setting though. And SWTOR that I also play, its more or less pay to play with free to play options.

I need to take a break from TSW and SWTOR to play more FFXIV, buuut. What server shard on TSW? Arcadia?

And I'll be the devil's advocate; for me, I really didn't care for 10. But that's me, my favorites are 6 and 12. Why 12? Well, once you get past Vaan not being the main character and the supreme ultimate awesome of Basch and Balthier (fans self). >.> Need I say more. Woop. BUT, even though it isn't my top FF games, I'll be picking it up on PS3. The PS Vita one is good, but the fact that 10-2 is DLC only and the physical is 10 only, is kind of odd; but understandable due to the larger size. Can't wait for 12 HD as well!

TSW is a great game, but it should have gotten higher reviews than it did; it although at first did have the whole "no hand-holding" and I do agree, most of the attack animations suck (as they are changing) and PvP isn't great... but, it's primarily a PvE MMO with PvP as an after-thought. A lot of reviewers were more critical due to "No open world PvP? Uninstall!" I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10 if I was to review it at launch. It's slowly creeping up to 9 with each new update, such as pressing T turns on 'crosshairs mode". Where you don't tab target, but aim at the target and press an ability action!

I'd still get the basic version of TSW, it's 30 USD, if you can find it cheaper, it's usually on sale on Steam or Amazon all the time. As for ESO, I've been in it's late alpha and beta all the way through. Without breaking the NDA, I will say... the game is dangerous close to FFXIV's first launch. It seriously needs at least six more months on top of it's release date.
