Well, yet again. I have been lead to believe RPC was a friendly community, only to be proven wrong. My Linkshells, FC and Weekly RP event idea are all not welcome, and met with slander and harassment. So i believe i will be leaving RPC permanently, this time around. I cannot welcome a community that is full of such judgmental, stalker-like, trolls. I can't even believe i bought and subbed to this game. It's no better then WoW's community. Haven't had a single positive experience with people here, or in-game. Such a joke.. Here i thought i could join a nice community, pitch in with my ideas, and create my own rp group. But that has all been a waste of time. This is the last post i make, and the last time i log into this stupid site. If i can't look for rpers on here, without being harassed worse then in-game. . . Why bother. Moderators don't watch or filter the people signing up for accounts, nor do they enforce their rules. Trolls run free all over this threads.

Oh, i've screen shot and reported every one of them. Just i meant the new FC leader, in general. When some of them left their FC and joined another one. I wasn't going to stalk them, and tell their new FC leader. Von is first and foremost, a monk. But also his avid search for crewmates; can place him anywhere. He is well known in Ul'dah, mainly because of the Tournaments, and for training at the pug guild. But OOCly, i don't spend much time in the city. Mainly because of the people i have blocked, that hang out in the Quicksand. They like to openly troll the people i approach, to get them to ignore me. So i just don't want my time their. But i walk around the inner district on occasion. Gridania, he fishes a lot their, for work.

The only other situation, in question. Was when said people left an FC, and joined another fc. So now i avoid their new one. If i went and told that leader, and made their life hell. I'd be no better then the troll.

Yes, but there is a problem with that. 1. It's more then one FC, involved with the reports. 2. The Leaders have always been present, or have ordered the harassment. Which is what i have found, after contacting half of them. So they were engaged in it themselves, and were present. Or they were elsewhere, but told their members to do it. So far, all of the leaders have been aware.

Sorry Roen, after listening to Dragonspec's story I've learned the error of my ways. We need to have a sexual encounter or no more RP. >_>; [sigh]

I wish more people would rp out of Wolves Den, it's perfect for Von. Also more friendly people in the Drowning Wench, would be nice too. It sucks that rp is favored in one specific tavern/guild.

Yeah, I'm aware of the practice nights. I've been a Grindstone goer for my entire 2 months here. But that is the only successful place, i have encountered it. On Wednesdays, Von mainly is an Overseer. But fights on Saturdays.

That bugs me too, not being able to send a Friend request while the friend to be is out of game. My play times aren't really consistent due to my work. As for contacting you. I am online randomly, for long periods of time. From as early as 10am to 4am EST. I'm online right now, but Obsidian and Mcbeef? lol; you two aren't on yet. But i will try to remember to keep checking back. Not being able to add people that are offline, is a pain.

If a large amount of people i have reported, didn't hang out there. I would give it another shot. But the last time i walked in there, they name dropped and harassed, until people just...walked away, mid-rp. Trolls love to spread rumors, and do anything in their power to take all your Rp away. I know of at least 5, that frequent the Quicksand daily. As for the previous post, my alt is also a bookish type. Who hangs around ruins, and the ossuary. But i've found those types of characters, are even more difficult, to kind the rp fire; with. Since they are generally not approaching, or giving off an unapproachable feeling. Plus, most of the harassment happened on that character. So i've sat him on the shelf for the last 2 months.

I'm not calling any names, or pointing fingers. But from my experience, we are not allowed to name drop or do anything like that. I can't make a post, helpful and friendly as it may be, to inform people of said trolls and where they hang out. Moderators believe helping people in that manner, is against the rules. Also, if someone flames or trolls on these forums, you can't defend yourself. Self defense is a bannable offense. When i had this issue on Guild Wars 2, i made a post name dropping a certain troll guild and their sightings. I was quickly banned from the RP-enjin forums for it. Despite having the best intentions. We cant do things like that, on third party forums. I know someone, who was threatened by a moderator here, and possibly banned; for self defense against trolls. So ,yeah

Yeah. I was told the community here was great. Granted it isn't as bad as WoW, but the immaturity is similar. It gets pretty depressing, only having these sorts of experiences. The people that haven't come on to my character, are usually the ones that haven't even acknowledged posts. I had the same problem in all of my MMO's. People tend to ignore those who aren't part of their FC/guild/niche. But i was hoping for better. I don't like drama, and i dislike having almost a full black list, and a nearly empty friends list. The only rp i've had, is AT the Grindstone. When i try to approach people I've fought, or were in the audience; on any other day. It goes neglected. So at this point, saturday are my only rp days. The other 6 days of the week, i either level out of boredom, which is a last resort. Stand around trying to recruit, or sit in the Drowning Wench. After a few days, i just don't even bother logging in. I've started taking breaks, to play other games. Since Rp is the only thing tying my interest to FFXIV, i have no reason to play avidly; without it.

When i have rejected IC or OOC, the people follow me around. They gather their FC friends, and all follow me around, making suggestive comments; and strutting around naked. Making mocking and inappropriate gestures. I have a ton of people reported for the same thing. Sadly, my rp experiences are few and not enjoyable. I've been here going on 2 months, and would still like to find at least one active partner. I suppose i have had the unfortunate luck, of running into the immature ones.

Then you are lucky. The few people I've approached, wouldn't continue rp, if it wasn't included. Von is a pirate IC, so i do flirting too. But only to a certain extent, because i don't want to mislead. I asked around, and was told to avoid Quicksand, if i wasn't "willing". Because it, and Bronze Lake were the hubs for those types of Rp. Apparently people presume taverns are always people looking to take someone home.. Which, i would think is incorrect. But it would appear a lot of the people who have sexually harassed me, for not being willing; hang out there. So that is the primary reason i do not enter the Quicksand.

I too, have been having a hard time finding people. Not because i don't actively try. But because i refuse to engage in sexual scenes. Which sort of puts me in the Firing Range, with this community. As Obsidian said, you can hit me up any time. Saturday nights, at 9/10pm EST, there is an RP event called The Grindstone. It's a Tournament fighting, sort of Gladiator setting, event. So you have the opportunity to meet and mingle with the audience, while having something to bring people together. If your character might be an on-looker, of such an event. You can always, life permitting, find me at the Tournament. Currently, i am the champion, my second week now. So i have time to rp, while i wait for people to ascend to the final Tier. I left Intermission. Only people talking were ERPers. They were the only ones offering Rp, and since i wasn't interested in that sort of RP i had no reason to stay. I posted Rp offers multiple times, but no one but the ERPers replied. So, I'm done looking for OOC LS, rather create one. . But i doubt i can, with all the negativity and stalking going on

Not really sure why you would suggest Balmung's Finest though. I just looked them up, they're a dungeon/raid Progression type LS. That's kind of useless for me. Rp is the only thing that is important to me in an MMO, i never even finished the dungeon/raid content in WOW and i was there for 8 years.

No, it wasn't intermission. I haven't gotten into intermission yet, or Balmungs Finest. It was 3 random OOC linkshells, one was for Rp Events; can't remember the names of the other 2. But i know it wasn't those, i haven't found anyone to add me to those ones yet.
