There's people RPing in the Adventurer's Guild in Ul'dah right now! I would be, but I'm queuing up for Sastasha because Khyros needs to practice being chivalrous and protective like his mom. Cest la vie!

I decided to level up Gladiator a bit...and, well, it's pretty fun! I'm currently level 16 and just tanked my first Sastasha party before I decided that 5am was a good bedtime. First time tank and a first time healer, and we handled it pretty easily. Now I just need to repeat tomorrow to get the full plundered plate set...

Punching bags with names are bad, you might end up feeling pity for them! Or hit them harder, if you're that kind of person. :lol: I just like punching. I'm the kind of nerd who'll research real combat and try to base roleplayed fighting off of something tangible. With the fantastic elements of the setting woven in too, you can't forget those!

Maybe I'll try to get Khyros embroiled in this LS. Seems like something he'd do while he's not quite confident enough to try launching his career in the Flames. Punchers gonna punch!

Now that I dropped Titan (Thank you thank you, Liadin), I'm actually going to pick up Gladiator tomorrow after work to level up and tank a bit. It's especially crucial because I actually DID have a bad (well, more uninformed, though I tried to explain the boss tricks) tank today in Brayflox. We kept wiping because "Take the dragon out of the poison" kept registering as "Move yourself out, but let the dragon keep regenerating." My soul hurt, but we kept at it and got the hang of it.

I am having a HELL of a time working out how to do spoilers and such on these boards, so you guys just get links cuz tired. A humble adventurer by day.. But by night...oh Twelve, what!?

But...them being defeated is part of lore. How can you say what parts of established lore you'll follow, and which you won't? I mean, yes, they're presented as nigh insurmountable forces of nature, but it's established that it can, and HAS, happened in the past, oft repeatedly. My biggest question is if you're going to allow gameplay things like the egis as proof that a PC can defeat them, why can't someone say that because the game's main story said they solo'd Ifrit, they did? The problem with drawing the line in the middle is that everyone has a different idea of exactly what the middle is, especially once you start mingling gameplay concepts with conceptual and lore concepts.

Roll a Roe. I haven't gotten a lewd tell yet. I think the three Miqo'te dancers in Ul'dah were a case too, but they looked so pretty and happy and there were just people sitting there watching them. I think it's almost expected of Hyur, as they're humans, and humans are what we know and prostitution has existed in our history and in modern times. But Elezen does seem a little strange-- I haven't seen one yet. I wonder if they have regional laws about such things. Are there any slaves in Limsa Lominsa? It doesn't mean they don't think it, just that they fear a fractured skull more than the urge to say it can compel them! I'd be more worried if it were the Lalafell ladies getting all the lewd messages, honestly..

You definitely can get in on it. Heck, you're already on my friend list, so I don't see that it'd be that much of a huge deal! I was gonna actually ask you earlier, but you were already in duty-finder for what I assume was the hunt for leopard underpants, so I didn't want to disturb you.

I won't either, because even if Khyros does end up joining the Immortal Flames like he wishes, he's a monk and fighting barehanded from a mounted position is...dubious at best. If anything he'd keep a chocobo as a pet rather than a battle mount.

All dem sexy Roes, Khyros is going to stammer himself to death. But yeah, outside of the Ul'dahn/Costa Del Sol areas, you do see a lot less of the seedy presentation of the race spread out all over. I mean, even in Costa Del Sol, Gegeruju's aide is a Miqo'te, and I took her completely seriously despite the sexy secretary getup. And yes, Y'shtola is amazing.

Are you mistaken? I bought both from the quartermaster today and they were completely different. It's possible, but I thought it definitely said "Immortal Flames Barding" When I swapped it out for my Behemoth Barding. I'd check if I could to make sure, but the time, she is bad! I edited my last post with a picture but the default barding is named similar to the one that cost 6,000 seals as I recall. Oh yeah, that's definitely not the default barding. Not nearly as much metal on it, which is why I picked it over the Behemoth Barding for the torso. (WHY WOULD MY CHOCOBO NEED FAKE ARMS HANGING IN FRONT OF ITS WINGS)

Grand Company barding is the one my Choco came stock with, yes!
