Hey there, wasn't sure where I should put this, but I have a quick question: I see the Brass Blades have a RP linkshell dedicated to them up in Linkshell Hall, but do the other two companies have something similar? My Maelstrom character could use fellow pirates associates to mingle with!

Is this still a linkshell, or has it become a free company? If it's a shell still, I wouldn't mind a invite as it seems interesting.

I am sure Gilgamesh still has a great community, you just have to dig a little deeper to find it.

First off, welcome to the community! I was on Gilgamesh for a while before transferring to Balmung for more RP opportunities. While it has been a while since I played there, I do know the Bismark and the Sands in Ul'dah saw a bit of activity, but honestly I would suggest you browse through the linkshells listed here on the site and see if you can find one that fits your fancy.

Hey guys, I've been playing FFXIV since release, but have server hopped due to friends transferring to various places (and following them as well). I played here sometime during 2.2-2.3, and have recently returned because of missing the RP experience that Balmung has really fostered. I am definitely looking forward to interacting with the community at large again, so if you see me in-game and are bored (Galiond Silverblade), please feel free to send me a /tell and offer up some delicious RP opportunities! As you enter the Shifting Sands for the most recent of (who knows how many) times, you may have spied a new individual sitting there, his feet propped up on the table. As you approach, you can tell that this Midlander Hyur seems to enjoy his creature comforts; his clothes were expertly tailored, a longsword of solid craftsmanship hangs lazily at his hip, looking as if it is more of a toy then an actual tool of war. As you approach the table, the white haired man turns his piercing grey orbs towards you, looking as if he had walked straight out of a Immortal Flames training camp based on his mouth, and smiles... Well hello there, friend. Come...take a sit and stay a while, I could use the company. The youth leans back in his chair, resting an easy hand on the pommel of his sword as he smiles once more. Don't look so startled..I am known to poll random strangers for conversation. You see...I always am looking for conversation. Information, knowledge, wisdom...all of these things some might say are the same, yet they vary so much, and are truly so different! As the man speaks, he pours himself a glass of some type of red wine of unknown origin, of which he offers some for you. Information: The key that unlocks several doors and several tongues, oft times leading to great wealth, great success...or great misfortune. Knowledge: The sword that we use to defend our secrets with, be they days old or generations in the making. This is our fruits and labors, our very essence boiled down into the collective thoughts of those that we call friends and family; or perhaps the tool that our enemy might possess without our knowing. Well, adventurer, I bid you welcome. Lay down your blade and stay a while, for the Grand Warden himself welcomes you into his hall. ((Hey guys! Sorry for that little RP, but I figured it was worthwhile. Anyway! The Wardens Hall is a new linkshell created on Gilgamesh, to facilitate RP across the server and with various personalities therein. I realize there already exists a "official" coalition linkshell, but from what I understand it tends to be full, and rather difficult to get an invite to it. So, instead of complaining about the lack of RP, I've decided to create my own gathering point for it, to meet new players and get story ideas rolling! Anyone is absolutely welcome to become a part of the shell, provided you are a RPer and are interested in RPing. Members can also discuss things in game, upcoming events, and even use it as a resource to find other like minded players for things outside of the RP spectrum (although that is what it's primary use will be). It is possible that a IC version of the linkshell will be created in the future, but for now, consider this an experiment!
