I just had a thought, it goes like this... You see, though part of the Relic quest has you retrieving the original Relic, it is in such a dilapidated state that its essence has to be removed and transferred into another weapon, one that is the same type and materia-melded. As such, what you are actually wielding is a sort of clone, enhanced with the original's power, or what could be salvaged from it. Even at +1, I think it's safe to assume that the Relic you're actually wielding is at best an allusion to the real deal, not truly having the original's full power. Therefore, could one not theoretically get away with saying that what they have is merely, say, a Tome enhanced with the Omnilex' power? This could also tie in with an RP shtick where a person's Tome grows in power by collecting bits of power/information from other Tomes. Just a thought.

I look at Relic Monks and all I can think is "My fists will EAT YOUR FACE." Is that just me? Am I completely bonkers?

I hate to be Killjoy Von Buzzkillington, but... Well, that killed it mid-joygasm. Basically, we'll be getting the houses, the furnishings, and the airship building, but things like Chocobo Farms, mannequins, and personal space are going to have to wait until they do two more patches. Considering how long we've been waiting for 2.1, teasing us with features still two additional patches away is kinda mean. That's not to say I'm not still impressed. If you read the entire interview thread you'll find that Square is including some smart features right off the bat, even including a request for an Ishgardian Wartable.

Do you take requests/commissions? I've been trying to get some art for Edgar to post on his wiki page.

Again, THIS. ^ Let me tell you one thing. Where Square fills in for the Miqo'te, the players fill in for everyone else. I find it amusing that the very player base that goes apeshit over sexy Miqo'te does its best to make sexy Roegadyn, Elezen, and Hyur characters and take pictures of them in bikinis and subligar. And might I ask, when did sexy catgirls become a BAD THING?

This. I'm so sick of seeing people complain about the "sexualization" of the Miqo'te. If it were the Roe or Lala doing this you'd all be bitching just the same. It's irritating.

Housing has me very excited, to say the least, as does the increase in weekly limits for Tomes of Mythology!

Average Miqo'te Day, plz.

:idea: Because no one has posted this yet...You misspelled the word Trauma in the Thread title. Just a heads up! Anyways, Edgar. Edgar has some trauma alright, but in his past. Edgar is an orphan, and was adopted by two Hyur (Highlanders) by the name of Baldan, a Scholar, and Fyora, an Arcanist. Edgar was just a babe when he lost his folks, so it wasn't until the age of 7 when he finally found out about the incident: his parents had been murdered in cold blood. This is traumatic enough, but then we get to Baldan and Fyora. Baldan was incredibly interested in Edgar's early Aetheric potential, and pushed him to become a Scholar like himself through private tutoring and eventually handing him over to the Arcanist's Guild when he reached the appropriate age. Fyora disapproved of all of this, believing that Edgar was being pushed far too hard, with Edgar returning from the Guild exhausted, if he hadn't worked himself into a coma, at which point he would have to be carried home. This disagreement lent itself to much fighting between the two Hyur, and eventually, they broke up when Edgar had reached adulthood. Edgar took it the worst way: he believes himself to be the destroyer of their marriage, sabotaging his chances at having a family in spite of his parents' murders. Though he typically hides it well, the scars are there, however loathe he is to talk about it. When asked about his past, he will do his best not to bring up how these events have affected him. Ironically, Edgar's policies towards others have him pressing his friends to stop hiding their problems, and to talk to him about how events make them feel, acting as the ultimate emotional security blanket. Each "tender" moment, however, only adds a layer of guilt to Edgar's insecurity. After all one can barely help others if they cannot first help themselves...

Not all scenes involving Chocobos are all sunshine and lollipops. This choco is sick, to such a degree that the Roe NPC actually states they'll have to put her down. I'm putting this screen here because I can't believe they'd actually put something like that in the game. Dead people are to be expected, but dying animals? That's where it starts to get dark... That, and I have a soft spot for Chocobos...

Make sure to double-check your inventory. If you crash at the end of the FATE, sometimes you'll still get the rewards when you log back in. This happened to me about 3 times, and each time I got my Parcels regardless of the crashing.
