I know that feeling and I'm sorry if it was intimidating! We all start somewhere, and I still have anxiety about RPing sometimes with different people.. or even sometimes the ones I'm used to (more than I'd like to admit). Welcome! Glad you decided to try things out. There are numerous helpful threads for beginners here, but the best thing to do will just be to dive right in and post once the game is up again!

Playing all aspects of the game ICly is just a bit much for most people. Game mechanics exist that are essential to making it a good MMO, but are completely unrealistic even in the magical setting. Thing such as instantly changing clothing, timers/cooldowns, a pack that carries an incredible amount of gear and items.. If you insist on RPing everything, I wish you luck. But please be mindful that not everyone is going to accept your or even need explanation for some game mechanics.

Can I just say that in 2 years of RP this has never once come up as an issue for me? Lol. Just use common sense, you'll be fine.

The majority, if not all, RPers I have ever RP'd with in XIV ignore the game time and use RL time. Usually EST (to avoid confusion if a EU RPer is RPing like it's evening and a Central time RPer is like wut?). Sometimes, weather is also ignored, but not usually.

Useful~ A'eyshn (Aysun) Demiir [wiki] Race/Clan: Miqo'te, Seeker of the Sun Gender: Female Skin color: Medium Fair Eyes: Heterochromic (Left Blue / Right Brown) Slitted Pupils Hair/Ears/Tail color: Blonde, naturally highlighted from sun-exposure Hair Style: Short and messy, with slight curl like so. Tail: Longer fur as seen in game. If grown long, her hair is distinctly curly. Medium, loose curls, something like this but longer. Usually in a messy/loose braid.
