I'd be for that only if they add a Lalafell type that isn't popoto-bodied. I still cannot get over that aspect of their design. Bleehhhh!

For T'rahnu: Physically Particularly gross people. She's okay with belches but farting, snot and mucus, particularly uneven teeth, particularly bad breath, and so on, all qualify under this for her. Skinny people. Anyone that looks like she could snap them in half just by landing on them. This is mostly because she feels like she has to treat them with kid gloves, which just isn't something she's looking for. Lalafell. Not because she's racist, but because she doesn't see what the point is. She just can't comprehend what she'd get out of such a relationship (physically, you know what I mean...). Otherwise, she's not terribly picky. This is partly because she's not really into commitment and thus doesn't go into any long-term relationships, so even if she finds someone to be bland and boring physically, that doesn't mean they're outside of her strike range, so to speak. Mentally Anyone who's clingy. She's just never going to be able to reciprocate those feelings. Particularly mean or cruel people. She'd much rather not take chances with them getting abusive on her down the line (or rather, they may end up doing something that gets her to clock them in the face, which has an unfortunately high chance of being a fatality). Anyone who believes in monogamy. Yes, this means a very high proportion of the population is outside of her strike zone. Again, she just cannot reciprocate those feelings. Stupid people. For obvious reasons. Anyone who lacks confidence. If they're uncertain then she will, in absolutely no uncertain terms, put them down immediately. No point in getting in with someone who could have second thoughts down the line. Guys who want children. She can't, so this is a no-go. People that judge her. While she considers this unattractive... she'd love to bed any one of them just to turn them into hypocrites. WOW, that's a long list! I guess it would be easier to describe the people who she is interested in: People, mostly men but sometimes women, who are interested in a quick tumble with no follow-up actions, no long-term romancing, and no consequences to their relationship after the fact. Folks who can compartmentalize their sex lives and keep them separate from everything else. And that's about it. She has zero interest in romance, zero interest in starting a family (not that she could, outside of adoption), and zero interest in becoming someone's house sla- I'm sorry, I mean 'wife'. Very much an independent Miqo'te.

No, I'm done. There's no point going on and on about the topic when it's been done to death already. I'm just venting at this point. Misreading the initial answer made me get my hopes up for a bit, so having them dashed again has made me moody, that's all. I'll be over it in an hour or so.

Regardless of their answer, I'm still going to campaign for playable hybrids OR AT LEAST LESS CRAPPY CHARACTER CREATION. It's really dumb how often they blame character creation limitations on this or that limitation when they keep adding more hairstyles and added an entirely new race. Like, really? How long are those excuses going to fly? When even just the suggestion of hybrids gets me into a tizzy, it's really bloody lame that they keep stomping all over my hopes and dreams like this. Grumble, grumble, mutter, mutter.

"Please look forward to future development." is an answer to the first part of the question ("What is with the small Miqo’te that can be seen in that one area?"). "It’s difficult to implement races that have expression limitations and other issues." is an answer to the second part of the question ("Is this something we will be able to choose as a new race in the future?"). "By the way, Lalafell heads are too big to treat them as children!" is an answer to the unspoken rebuttal that "wait, Lalafell look just like them and they don't have 'expression limitations'!, thus firmly crushing any dreams of such a thing becoming a playable option in the near future. It still makes no sense, really, but that's what I've gotten from it.

They did, but then, they didn't. "Difficult to implement" can also be a code phrase for "it takes time". But whatever, I guess I will have to accept that my dreams have firmly been crushed and I can go back to looking forward to nothing when it comes to playable races for the foreseeable future. (Oh, if only it weren't for those dastardly PS3 limitations...)

I feel like the 'playable' part of the question is too important to just be ignored or brushed away like that. I mean, if the answer is a non-answer to that part of the question... well, that makes it a pretty crappy answer, heh.

Well allgivenover confirmed it, the kid in Mor Dhona also has a stubby tail, so that's a trait of Miqo'te children apparently. It's still a bit curious, however, since that could easily also be a trait of half breeds. Given the nature of Lalafell, I wouldn't put it past them for Lala-hybrids to just end up looking like children of the larger races. The more curious thing is why they would say "please look forward to future development" if they have absolutely no intention of making playable children, on a question that specifically asks whether or not they will be playable (as a race, not as children). I can't parse anything from that statement other than "a playable race that looks like that will be coming". Could be a new race for all I know, but something in that vein is probably coming down the pipe.

I, for one, choose to interpret the "please look forward to future development" on a question about whether or not we will be able to choose such a character as a new race in the future as "this is in the cards", and the Lalafell comment was just too far out of left field to not be relevant to the character. Plus, she's in Idyllshire unaccompanied by a guardian (look at the place! That is no place for children!) wearing a robe for DoM and has noticeably Lalafell-shaped eyes. That's weird. I thought Alexander normal is supposed to be in-between Coil + Echo and the Crystal Tower series, while Alexander Savage is just slightly harder than regular Coil.

I'm totally up for it! Right now I'm almost finished gearing up my MCH and have been doing a lot of practice on my rotations. My DPS isn't, ahem, all that great right now (pending buffs to Gauss Barrel that will hopefully come along with the Wanderer's Minuet changes) but I'm pretty close to peak damage for MCH in general so I shouldn't drag anyone down. I plan to level up and grab some gear for WAR and DRG as well, though I won't give you any guarantees there. I might just get bored during the leveling process, heh. Thankfully, this is exactly the kind of issue WTFast (and other booster programs like it) is designed to resolve. I highly recommend it.

Right. Well, I do wonder if Lalafell would have become extinct if a Lalaqo'te option actually existed... hmmm... If Squeenix wants to cannibalize the Miqo'te/Au Ra segment of the playerbase, that seems like an obvious direction to go in.

Not gonna lie - if Lalas were less... popoto-like, as in actually having something resembling real anatomy, I would have rolled one. As it stands, I would have been much happier with something in-between Miqo'te and Lalafell but no such option exists, so here we are. I have the opposite problem with the boob slider, btw - it doesn't go small enough on non-Lala races. It's not even close to flat, which is where the REAL minimum of the slider always aught to be. I will forever be shaking my fist in the general direction of developers that continuously fail to provide in this regard. Miqo'te kids, amusingly enough, are much closer to what I would have liked from Lalafell:

I knew all those people saying "Miqo'te are the majority" were suffering from confirmation bias. Miqo'te are just more distinct than Hyur, so of course you notice them more often. Doesn't mean that we're actually more numerous than the other races (especially not combined!).

I finally came up with a lovely (to me) machinist glamour. Too bad about our damage output, tho. Also, some shininess:

If you go into those Allagan structures in Azys Lla, you'll find a bunch of tanks filled with dismembered dragon parts... It's an incredibly sordid display and truly exemplifies just how cruel and out-of-touch the Allagan people were before their fall. Even so, however, I couldn't help but wonder what exactly was their objective in experimenting with these parts...

I mean... That's it right there. Conversation should've ended with this. It's completely unambiguous. There's no room for quibbling whatsoever. She's blind. Aethersight is her substitute. That's that.

Wha? No, that's totally Allagan design. The shape of the glowy bits is a dead giveaway. Garlean constructs are much, much more subdued, usually much more hunks of metal than the crazy avant garde sci-fi the Allagans have going on.

So what's up with Y'shtola's eyes? No one's mentioned that so far, and it really struck me how different she looked with them. If that's what happens when you obtain 'aethersight', then... hmmm... Harchefaunt himself apologizes for what he did before he goes lights out - he literally couldn't help himself. In the heat of the moment, his legs moved on their own. He likely well knew that you could have dodged it, but decided to take the blow for you because of his devotion to you. You can't pin the blame on the WoL for this one.
