  1. Scaith gave as small huff of annoyance as he got up, dusting off some of the sodden leaves and dirt before looking at the impetuant male, merely giving him a smirk as he bore two long daggers of the many that lined his seaman's jacket. "Heh, all I b'wonderin is if ye know which end t'use on that toy, lad. Aye, I stand ready f'these buggers.." With that he dashed forward, easily slipping behind the Ixal's guard and plunged his blade deep into it's kidneys and gave the man a smirk. "y'be wantin quick, huh? Let's get this done then quicklike." His hands moved in a flurry, throwing another at the third beast in the party, catching it square in the chest with a smaller blade as he looked to the woman of their group and nodded to check if she was ready.
  2. Scaith seemed only to be half listening at the moment, his own energy reserves waning from the travel through Costa del Sol and now this new adventure he'd summarily found himself in. He listened to the mixed sounds of rain pattering on the deck above them and the sway of hammocks, almost a lullaby from his youth from the early days of his fishing trips with his father. A sudden creak in the hull gave alarm that they seemed to be drifting course a little and he looked out over the dockside, seeing they'd began to cast off. His attention turned to the two females he'd suddenly found himself a charge of. The fancier seeming one had something that she didn't want to tell the little blonde he'd hefted with ease. There was immediate care there, though, and for that he allowed a smile to slip and looked to Serenity. He didn't know her, but from how he'd held her and she spoke, it was familiar. He'd missed so much in his adulthood already, but he knew his own mind and body. Looking at them both, his cheeks reddened slightly and his ears flicked before giving a huff and huddled into the corner more, pushing the random idea and thoughts from his head and let sleep take him as he felt the rock of the boat take him. "Scaith.....ye never really fit in here, did ye? W'know it's hard, especially with the Boltlimb family always fightin us for fishing rites, but ye've been the best as a son could be to us...Scaith..." He tossed and turned slightly as they sailed, his mind in turmoil as it always was during the night. His tail fluffed up and flicked back and forth as he continued in his fight with his demons. "V'ahnn....such a sweet name...do you think he'll be a strong one like his father?....You're right, I guess he'll never know. Sleep, little kit, and soon someone will be here for you. Oh, my V'ahnn...."
  3. lmao "scribble" huh? that looks awesome!
  4. Lol I'm down! My skype is hyperyume
  5. He gave a soft sigh as he found there was no need for his seamanship and gave a small chuckle as he thought about it. Thankfully, he was never a person that needed to bring a lot of gear and merely nodded at Rini's words, sitting back down by the window and looking out. "Alrigh' lass, I'll let ye're men do their thing. F'now then, I'd suggest I keep watch o'er m'lady here and just keep eye out for trouble?" He gave a small smile as his mind wandered to Ul'dah, remembering the last time he'd walked the streets and felt the burning heat on his face. Another life, another home. He'd never intended on losing his shortlived ventures out in the deserts, but politics and the pugilists he'd joined hadn't seen eye to eye. As he looked out over the grey skies and churning whitecaps, he gave an inaudible sigh and prayed to the twelve under his breath. "Well then, this should be givin us a'time to know one ano'er better, aye? Tell me more o' this aether business, where I hail from, a folk is just a folk..."
  6. Scaith heard the rustling and gave a small grin, happy to see that he was being placated by the hidden woman and eased his hand off the knife, but left it at the ready should it be a trap. As she came into view, he widened the grin into a smile and gave a gesture of peace, lifting his hands to the sky and chuckled at the glowing orb emanating from her staff, seeing that she was the source of the magic he'd felt. He stepped more into the light, the lightning around them and her globe of light showing his features to her while he slid his hands into his pockets. "Heh, see lass? I b'tellin ye I'd meant ye nae ha-!" His words were cut off as he was suddenly slammed into by what felt a rolling boulder, getting knocked to the side and rolled a couple times before quickly jumping to his feet and hissed at the form near him, reaching once more for his knives. "Trickery! What the ruddy hell sort o' trap y'be layin here, eh?"
  7. Scaith nodded, agreeing as he stood at attention and retrieved the seaman's coat from where Serenity had left it, easily slipping it on and buttoning it up so his look was complete once more. His eyes were alight with eagerness to feel the oceanspray on his face once more as he looked at Rini and then at Serenity, giving them both a small smile. " Aye m'lady L'rinhi, then we'd best be onwards. Are ye handled for a skipper here or would y'be needin assistance on the helm?" He mentally plotted a course for Ul'dah, having been through the trade routes from Limsa to there multiple times and knew the rocky shoreline shouldn't be an issue for them. What WOULD however, was their arrival to the sandy desert region.
  8. Scaith looked over Serenity covered in his jacket and blushed, turning to the porthole and gave a small sigh. He listened to Rini and gave a slight nod now and looked at her. His ears flicked a little at the weather turning worse outside, turning his gaze back to the small female and adjusted his shirt. " Mmmph, bloody voidsent.... well lass, ye've a mercenary and hand by I for the trek if ye're needin one. I cannae say I've any past skill in fightin them sad buggers, but ye've m'blades for sure. " He gave a small smile as he sat down, looking away from Serenity for modesty's sake as she dressed and gave a slight blush as he suddenly realized something important. His tail flicked about in slight nervousness as he moved easily before Rini and gave a deep bow. " I just realized, lass, we've nary had a chance t'be acquainted...My name is Scaith, luv, at ye're service...both ye're service I should say."
  9. hmmm, what sorts of habits would Scaith have usually? Lets see... : 1. He has a pension for flicking his ears when curious or feeling a bit anxious. 2. His tail will fluff up in the vicinity of magic or in anger. 3. Even his ears turn red if he's nervous or excited.
  10. Rini cleared the table and placed a candle at the head, again motioning toward the two she had just recently met. "Place her here...And close the door..." Scaith moved quickly as he began being pelted with the large droplets of rain, holding Serenity closer to shield her from the rain as he slipped below decks. He looked about quickly, his warrior training kicking in and looked for enemies and exits before setting the small female on the nearby bedcushions and closed the door behind Rini, taking a seat nearby them both. " I b'feelin there's a story t'be heard here....would ye be willin t'fill this wanderin Tia in some?" He slowly took a rag from inside his shirt, wiping his head and ears down from being now sodden. He took another moment, gazing over first Serenity in her disheveled but delicate form and took off his long seaman's coat, covering the frail looking woman in it like a blanket. His eyes moved over to Rini, looking deeply into her own gaze and flicked an ear.
  11. :: applauds and nods :: Amen to that, it's our job as supporters of equality to expand everyone's mind on the subject and not ridicule them for their opinion, because that only will shut them down. It's in showing support and acceptance to new ideas that causes positive change for the country and world.
  12. As long as your asthma isn't bothering you at the time, you can donate blood. Most asthma medicines I know of don't disqualify you to give blood. agreed, as far as I know, this won't stop you from donating as long as you don't have an episode right in the middle of donating and albuterol shouldn't do anything to your blood
  13. The tall Miqo'te scowled as he slipped from tree to tree, attempting to dodge the large globules of rain and move out of the wind for a while. Scaith breathed a little heavy, still unaccustomed to the heavier humidity of this region, having been raised in La Noscea and only traversing the woodland areas only once before in his wanderings. As he skipped over a fallen log, his boot caught a small branch, snapping it loudly and he stopped, looking about. His large, sodden ears flicked about wildly, listening for any respones, before continuing for a few more yalms and quickly found another twig underfoot. He gave an audible sigh, listening to the rolling thunder for a moment and felt his tail fluff up, feeling the magic in the air around him. He looked about before noticing some water sprites, plumped up from the rainfall and smiled, figuring that it was just them bickering over territory when he heard the high, uncertain voice of a female. “Stay Back! This is your last warning!” Scaith immediately stopped, poking his head around and looking in all directions as the lightning flickered over the treetops and didn't see anyone. He slowly ran one of his hands over the handle of his multiple knives, gently unsnapping the handle and rested his palm on the hilt. "Ahoy there! I b'hearin ye, but cannae see ye lass, I mean ye nae harm, but wish t'see who has t'drop on me....can ye come where ye can b'seen?"
  14. Oh god, Moon Guard....one of the few RP servers I will actually refuse to play on, and I've played in Celestial Hills of Tera! Yeah, that place is nuts...
  15. Oh, I'm sure this won't sit lightly with congress, and I have to agree with Aldotsk since I live in Seattle, one of the most pro-equality in gay marriage and tourist vacation spots. gods, pride is just in about a week, if that'd happened here, I don't know what congress would do. I do agree that stricter gun control is in order, but it's difficult with being a nation that was born of war and bloodshed to put down their guns and agree with peaceful co-existance. That doesn't even play into religion though, which has so many closed minded people locked in their viewpoints and willing to act on them out of fear.
  16. Rini sighed at Serenity's words, a pain running through her chest at the thought of leaving someone in this state for personal matters. She shook her head and ran her hand through the woman's hair, trying to calm her. "Shh...You'll be fine...I promise okay? We just need to get you patched up." She stated in a calm, optimistic tone. L'rinhi would then turn to Scaith, hesitating for a moment before she stood up and approached him slowly; her hands clasped over her chest in insecurity as she cleared her throat. "I...Can't treat her here...Do you..Mind helping me? I need to get her to transport..." The white haired Miqo'te asked reluctantly. As he would answer she would make her way back to Serenity, taking a beach towel and draping it over her to further conceal her nakedness. "I need you to carry her to the docks...I can pay you once we get to Ul'dah." She finished, looking back to the male Miqo'te. A slight pang in his heart fluttered up when she spoke of Ul'dah and gave it a moment of thought before nodding and moving with her to Serenity, blushing only a little further as he looked down at the barely concealed naked woman before him. It was not due to any lascivious thoughts more so just her raw beauty of her form as she was covered and gave a small smile as he lifted her. She barely weighed a feather in his hands, almost feeling bad for the roughness she may feel from his worked, calloused hands but held her close, looking at Rini and nodded. " Aye lass, ye've my help f'sure...Just show me where t'take ye both and I'll see ye get there safe." He coddled Serenity close, as if he'd known her all his life and slowly walked with Rini towards the docks, looking around them for any sign of danger.
  17. :: he casually adjusted the shirt and nodded :: Heh, I'd be delighted to Nara!
  18. His care and curiosity caused him to follow unbidden, not even realizing where he was until he was watching her checking her friends vitals. His cheeks reddened and tail fluffed up in embarrassment, but kept his composure as he gave the small woman a once over and looked to Rini in honest care and concern. "What bein the verdict lass? Is ye're friend here hurtin or seein the final hunt?"
  19. Awww, I feel for you. I would as well but I already donate 2x a week for plasma and if I donated blood, I'd have to wait a year again
  20. The male blushed visibly as Rini smiled at him, mentally admonishing himself for scaring the beautiful female and gave a low bow out of respect. "M'apologies, wee lass, I did'nae mean to fright ye some.... forgive me, though I have merely been in town a mere day or more, and I dinnae care much for the public eye. I don't think I've seen ye're friend, sorry luv." His thick La Noscean accent seemed off-putting for his heritage, but Scaith gave her an honest smile in return to her own for a moment before jumping, his own mixed color eyes lighting up. " Wait! I DO happen t'remember a emerald haired lass at a tavern nae far from here!"
  21. As he stood there, lost in thought, he barely even moved having not even heard the females query until he looked and the two females were heading back towards the crowded shorefront market. " mmmph.... I b'feelin I missed somethin there..." Intrigued, he slow walked farther behind them to the town, curious as to what the smaller one had asked him before. The tall male strode at his own pace, but nearly overtook them as the stood on harder ground and smiled at the more fancier looking one. "Blessed the twelve be upon ye lass, I apologize f'my daftness, but what was it ye said 'pon the dockside? Somethin about a wee green maiden?"
  22. Towards the end of the docks, Scaith had once again found himself staring into the ocean. Tall, athletically built and imposing on the dwindling sunlight, He stood staring out over the near calm waters at the far reaching cloud cover and gave a small sigh. It'd been a few days since he'd sent the missive for the local tribunal about seeking passage and had yet to hear back. Breathing in the salt air, his tail twitch agitatedly as he heard the voices of the villagers and marketers almost as audibly as the cries of the gulls overhead and breathed the ocean air just as quickly. His ears pricked as he felt the footsteps over the roll of the waves on the dock and turned his head a little to notice two females, one walking with the stride of command and confidence and the other....seeming out of bondage or some sort of servitude. He gave a light hiss under his breath at the thought and easily put it out of his mind as he looked at one of the schooners nearby, the livery a bit fancier than the other disheveled looking fishing boats he'd already tried for passing the sea.
