Kage glances at the silent Roegadyn, wondering if perhaps she wanted the solitude before turning to the others. He bit his lip and didn't want to delve too much into the sorrows they were facing. "What kind of skills do you have for work? Any special weapons?" Kage nods, "I have... some money from odd jobs here and there. It's not a steady income currently but I hope to have one very soon." He grins, thinking of the recent events in his life and continues, "I've always found the people a joy. Sometimes too rowdy but most times it keeps me from feeling lost and lonely..."

Did any non-NPCs wear Scion outfits? I assumed the video was showcasing some of the crafted (dyeable dungeon gear) with emotes and dances that are being added

This is my bad. I phrased it horribly. There's no actual new GC ranks but that there are new ranked items. Things were shifted and Formerly-philo mats have been added.

I like to imagine that by now, Jajara has neck muscles of steel. I certainly found myself blitzing to 50 asap. It was a sort of "let's get them up so we can do these things together!" I sort of did and didn't wish they did the 8 man party stuff so late.

Kage looks to Rurutani, hoping he is not overwhelmed by the pretty much isolated conversation, before extending his own hand. "My name is Kage." Kage's been making lots of Miqo'te and a few Hyur friends. Many of them see him as 'cute' and adorable which he just sorta let's go. Myself on the hand I'm "yay! but not exactly the type of reaction I want for him other than for appearances..." In that matter, he treats everyone mostly the same except for long periods of time his neck hurts. Staring straight up. In which case Kage's favorite spots on the rail in Quicksand comes back up or he's able to get a friend to lend him a shoulder seat. "I have to admit, Salem's a bit... well he changes his appearances a bit." He grabbed the ale, remembering how much he'd started to drink when his anxiety rose up over his friends. "He said he was at a battle in Cartenau and it led to some... well some recent issues that further changed his appearance recently." Kage scratched the back of his head and said, "Salem told me after the battle in Cartenau he'd had memory issues. Conflicting ones even. I don't remember when he told me about his skill with a lance, perhaps it was when he had memory issues? "When everything was finally resolved, well, his appearance became different. He got bigger, voice changed, hair slicked back and... his tail is actually a little shorter now." Kage chuckled a little, remembering the ribbing he gave Salem for it. And also the strange feeling it was, trying to get used to the minor differences in his friend. "If it's the Salem I know... I haven't seen him in Ul'dah too recently, not as often as I'd used to. I think he's off doing work with the Immortal Flames? If not, you can usually find him having a nap sitting on the rail here in Quicksand."

Kage was concerned now. Oh, this S'alem definitely sounded like his friend Salem to him. He smiled at the Miqo'te, nodding along with Rurutani and motioning for her to sit down. He wanted to know about this. Out of concern and curiosity. He also did not like seeing people in need not get any sort of help, and if this was not Salem, it was not like it was time wasted. "Is he one of the shorter Miqo'te males around? The dark hair a purple shade of sorts?" Kage knew that Salem had changed in appearance somewhat since the Cain incident but he did not know by how much he might have changed since his battles alongside other Miqo'te, and the Dragoon Cain. Kage scratched at his goatee and said, "I -might- know of whom you're seeking. He sounds like a good friend of mine that I made here in the Quicksand. He's changed recently though in appearance because of certain events in his life. I didn't think he had much skill before with lances until recently though..." ((I'm staring at his lodestone right now and based on when I saw him on Monday he hasn't~ But oh god I already forgot what he looked like pre-cain ;A; Like his hair. But his tail is shorter now > ))

I have a feeling that Lalafell just seem to not "age" physically past a certain point except for very minor barely noticeable features like hair color. I pegged Kage as 22-23 but I'm starting to think he needs to be older. Or younger. I'm not sure D: And nah your comment about cute or not is fine I think. I was only commenting on it because it's something I've constantly thought about.

I KNEW THAT TANK STUFF IS THE NEW TOMES STUFF T_T /welp Interesting update about the glamor system, pretty much just confirming the inkling suspicion I had about whether or not you can use one item to be used as the appearance of others. Is it just me or was I under the impression that these were the new Allagan drops? The tank one certainly looks like the concept art I'd seen for Heavy Allagan Armor.

I feel like I do this unintentionally. I certainly made Kage to appear as cute and adorable as I wanted but never was my attention to make his character and personality cute. Since I find it easier to just RP his character out as I would react... I guess I'm cute since people have told me kage's cute. orz I think I read some post that Lalafell's bodies just don't age the same way as (we) others do. I mean Ququruka doesn't look much older than other Lalafell or others like Papashan just have gray hair.

It's been obvious from my posts... but ICly and OOCly I've always loved Ul'dah. It's my starting point in the game and also Kage's home. I find the politics between everyone very interesting though I and my character haven't delved into it very deeply. Quicksand's become a bit too crowded for me (Last night it was hard to filter tells, RP, linkshell chats etc. so much so that I missed out helping my RL friends because the I didn't see that they needed my help until I asked them later why they didn't ask me...) but it's still fun to just bask in and watch what's going on. I've just wanted to get in on some non-bar/pub/tavern plots but I find it hard to get myself into them without planning things. It'd be nice to get around from Quicksand and take in the other spots of Ul'dah. The ossuary, parts of the steps of Thal areas, etc. ><

Kage smiled, sipping some tea and glancing at the ale, grinning before answering, "My name's Kage." He continued, "I'm from the Thanalan area myself, only permanently moved here to Ul'dah recently." He could not help his eyes wandering about the Quicksand, even though he knew it was rude. He always loved seeing his friends here and opening his circle of friends to others always appealed to him. He gave his head a little shake, pinching his brows a bit answering Rurutani, "Oh no... Just been an interesting moon." Kage's interest piqued, overhearing the word "Salem" through noise by Quicksand's occupants. He heard it again, closer, seeing a Miqo'te asking for his friend. When she approached he was wary but also very curious. "Hello, miss?" He was not sure why anyone was looking for his friend, but he didn't want to put Salem in danger if this was it. After all, it was only about one moon since Salem became... different. To say the least.
