  1. I've updated the first post to reflect the current status of getting into Balmung. Same thing since June 2015 sadly, transferring into Balmung is the only surefire way to get in. It also saves you time wasted trying to wait for Balmung to open.
  2. Unfortunately most of the visitors outside of Balmung usually post about looking for connections. I rarely see posts about thriving Linkshells or communities (unless on Gilgamesh as I know they have a dedicated Enjin and I know of http://sirenrp.enjin.com/ for Siren RP and http://brynhildrchronicle.enjin.com/ for Brynhildr). Try to see if you can reach out to others with the Sargatanas tag in this subforum. I believe Kousagi (creator of this http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=12702 Sargatanas LS) has their main on Balmung but it looks like the linkshell itself is empty except for its master. The only thing I can suggest, if unwilling to go through the trials and tribulations of searching for an RP community) is to transfer to Balmung. I suggest looking into the first post of the thread I've made here (http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=12737) if you have further questions. The situation hasn't changed since Dec 2015. Any windows to create a character on Balmung are after maintenances (which typically end early so you have to be up extremely early/late) and are only open for less than about 3 minutes.
  3. Main Scenario Preview! Patch 3.2 – The Gears of Change is scheduled to release on February 23, 2016! Prepare for release day with this sneak peek at the main scenario. Truth. Peace. Reformation. These were the keys to Ishgard's salvation. So believed Ser Aymeric, acting ruler of the Holy See. However, not all shared in his dream, and in his headlong rush to unite man and dragon once more, those still bound by the fetters of the past rose up to defend their nation against the forces they feared would destroy it. Yet change─that great, inexorable wave─was upon them, and soon all of Ishgard would bend to its will. Dungeon Preview Patch 3.2 is fast approaching, and today we offer you a glimpse into the Antitower, as well as the hard mode of the Lost City of Amdapor! ≪The Antitower≫ In all of creation, what greater mystery could there be than the fate of this very star? To sound the deepest depths, to study the aetherial sea itself─for these purposes and more was the Antitower built. Abandoned by her Sharlayan caretakers following the exodus, it has since been overrun by the magical guardians they left behind. Yet were one blessed with Her gift to brave these dangers and descend to the furthest reaches─to hear, feel, and think at the heart of this world─what would they find? Level Requirement: Disciple of War or Magic level 60 Item Level Requirement: Average item level 180 or above Party Size: Four players Time Limit: 90 minutes Quest : The Word of the Mother Prerequisites: Players must first complete the main scenario quest "As It Once Was. ≪The Lost City of Amdapor (Hard)≫ Following the defeat of Diabolos, the unnatural pall choking the crumbling city of Amdapor was lifted, and tranquility restored to the Twelveswood. Or so it had seemed. When the Hearers entered the ruins, however, they had scarce begun consigning the stones to the forest when their elemental allies fled in a sudden panic. By the spirits’ agitated whispers did the Seedseers learn that a daunting and hostile presence yet lingered within Amdapor's moldering walls. Unable to complete their ritual of cleansing, once more have the Padjals called upon your aid. Once more must you delve deep inside the ancient city's husk, and purge its withered heart of an unknown evil... Level Requirement: Disciple of War or Magic level 60 Item Level Requirement: Average item level 180 or above Party Size: Four players Time Limit: 90 minutes Quest : One More Night in Amdapor Prerequisites: Players must first complete the main scenario quest "Heavensward," and have also completed the quest "One Night In Amdapor.”

  11. Ohh~ Are you still doing 'smaller' works only or are you perhaps willing to take on a more involved piece etc?
  12. Naive Lalafell with the best intentions ruins peoples' lives when he joins the World because of idol hero worship.

  14. Regarding the Resumption of Sales and Discontinuation of Refunds for the Mac Version To customers who purchased the previous Mac version of FINAL FANTASY XIV Online, Square Enix extends our sincere apologies for any inconvenience stemming from the unclear communication about the system requirements. We have since conducted thorough tests—using a variety of hardware and system environments—and would like to announce the updated system requirements for the pending re-release of the Mac version. In order to ensure an optimal experience while playing the game, please be sure to use the recommended models listed in the following table. Minimum system requirements OS: Mac OS X 10.11/10.11.1/10.11.2/10.11.3 * We have confirmed operation on Mac OS X 10.10.2 and beyond, but there have been reports of OS issues on 10.10.4/10.10.5 which causes the program to not boot when it is first launched. Due to this, we recommend running the program on 10.11 (El Capitan). Model Graphics Card Recommended Preset iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) AMD Radeon R9 M395 1600x900 High (Mac) iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) AMD Radeon R9 M390 1600x900 High (Mac) iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014) AMD Radeon R9 M290 1600x900 High (Mac) iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014) AMD Radeon R9 M295X 1600x900 High (Mac) iMac (27-inch, Late 2013) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M 1600x900 Middle (Mac) iMac (27-inch, Late 2013) NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M 1600x900 Middle (Mac) iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013) NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 1600x900 Middle (Mac) iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013) Intel Iris Pro 1600x900 Standard (Mac) Recommended screen resolution: 1600x900 * Running at a resolution above 1920 x 1080/1920 x 1200 will result in negative framerate performance. Free disk space: 30GB Internet: Persistent broadband internet connection Notes: * On systems with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M, GeForce GT 755M or GeForce GT 750M graphics chips, we have confirmed that a display issue occurs when continuously changing the screen resolution. This is directly attributed to an issue with the drivers for these graphics chips. We are currently investigating this matter with NVIDIA, and are working with them to have them address this issue. Until they have released a fix to address the issue, please avoid changing the screen resolution continuously. If you encounter this issue, simply restart the game to resume normal operation. * Specs are subject to change in the future. * While we have confirmed operation of the game is possible on the MacBook Pro, due to extraordinary heat generated during gameplay, we have taken the precautionary measure of not adding the machine to the list of applicable models. Your understanding is appreciated. - Features of the Mac version The Mac version of FINAL FANTASY XIV was developed as an application that would only run on the Mac OS. For the development of the Mac version, we utilize third party porting middleware. Unlike the Windows version, which runs in a DirectX environment, the Mac version runs under OpenGL. Due to limitations in the architecture of these environments, rendering characteristics of FINAL FANTASY XIV, key assignments, Japanese language IME settings, performance and interface may differ from that of the Windows version with similar specs. Your understanding in this matter is appreciated. If the game is running on a Mac machine that does not meet the above system requirements, performance may be significantly lower than that of the Windows version of the game. When purchasing the game, please ensure that your machine meets the system requirements above. We would like to officially announce that we will be resuming the sales of the Mac version on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 after we have made sure to clearly communicate the required and recommended system requirements on retail sites including the Square Enix Online Store and other retailers. To coincide with the date that sales resume, we will be ending the refund support for those who have purchased the Mac version on or before July 4, 2015, on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. (PST). For more information on the Mac version refund offer, please refer to the below news page. The state of the FFXIV Mac version, and our plans for the future (July 3, 2015) http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/news/detail/0f6df59d2175ff4ddc26de3981641512f05a9e14 We apologize once again for the unsatisfactory release of the Mac version. Your continued support for FINAL FANTSY XIV would be greatly appreciated.
  15. kage made the wrong thread. Place holder! here is the right thread's lore dump post. Michael-Christopher Koji Fox Delivers!
  16. Oops Kage made the wrong thread. PLACE HOLDER TIME. ><
  17. Kage made a mistake. This thread is going to compile Fernehalwes' future lore dumps in the upcoming weeks etc on the forums. The PLL lore dump is in the thread
  18. Two years later, Kage is still spying on Roen.
  19. As far as I know Benediction hp restriction was lifted on 3.0 SCH will probably have to emergency tactics lustrate andfairy-kill lustrate. I've been told that AST can do it with 1 GCD too. Let's not busy a post thead meant to provide info with meaningless chatter.
  20. Do you mean this? Which was what I copy and pasted into the front post?
  21. Yeah, this is my main concern. A LOT of VIT gear has nigh-useless Parry. So, unless that gets addressed, I'm sure a lot of the VIT gear will still be seen as terrible. Just less so, as tanks gun for the VIT pieces that don't have Parry at all on them. "In case were wondering what VIT accessories for 210 are the ones without parry, they are: Gordian Neck (Crit Acc) Eso Earring (Acc SS) Eso Bracelet (Acc Det) Gordian Ring (Acc Crit) Eso Ring (Parry and DET but its unavoidable)"
  22. MCH does not use STR accessories. They used the PLL to tell people "get your VIT shit now" because it's going to be a straight up loss. Which it is. VIT accessories have the shittiest fucking secondary stats. Parry? Useless as fuck. Skill speed at least I can use to fit in major damage while Berserk is up. But Parry is fucking ugh. BUFF PARRY PLS 3.2
  23. You crazy. Look at this. LOOK AT IT. THAT MASK. How the fuck does one accurately aim that with one hand? Some guns already look like that on Lalafell....
