Hammersmith needs a siege artillery pinups in his room. Alderique would probably prefer healthy, physically active types that can challenge him, and that can come in a lot of shapes. Strength and physical ability are impressive, and would prefer men who show this off. If he's into a woman, she probably has the same requirements, and is more down-to-earth than glamorous. Rugged, working types. I haven't decided on a definite type since I don't want to limit myself to possibilities. Good RPer > character appearance, but this thread made me realize it's something to keep in mind.

Mad props for Sword & Sworcery music. Great soundtrack. For Alderique, it's a tough call! So many options for all of our characters. I'm going to go with "Fleeing the Hot Desert" from Gurren Lagann. It feels like a combination of optimism, growth, and warmth that's kind of his vibe overall. There are plenty of other situational themes that would apply. ahWrSfx_o_s

I find it helpful to start very slowly, building little by little. I tend to pick out a few basic details, and then develop the rest through roleplay. Personally, I'm a bit impulsive in my roleplay and character development, since I tend to overthink if I try to organize it all up front. I think it's also okay to retcon minor things as you go along, and reveal information about yourself slowly to other characters until you finalize what you really want. It may also help you to begin creating a wiki page where you can start laying out some information about your character. That being said, my dood, Alderique, currently lives in Ul'dah and mostly does odd jobs for merchants—mercenary work, deliveries, escorts—whatever's profitable. If you'd like to RP some time, feel free to look for me in game and we can work something out. Keep an eye out for some of the RP hubs, like the Quicksand inn in Ul'dah. It can be a little overwhelming, but you can examine characters and see what information they have in their player search profiles. I tend to browse through them and initiate RP/tell those who are open to it! It's a little intimidating at first, but it can be quite rewarding. Good luck!

Hello Friends, I draw and paint all sorts of things, usually on paper because I don't really enjoy working digitally. I am trying, though! When it comes to video game art I usually experiment and goof off, and so much of what I post here will probably be inconsistent and random. Feel free to reply on this thread of PM me for whatever reason! This post may be edited if I ever have any important information or am working on a specific project.

It's not very constructive to start off with saying a location sucks. Everyone is going to have their preferred locations for different reasons. I would like to see RP venture more out of Ul'dah myself. It's my favorite city, but it would be nice to see others expand a bit, especially if your characters aren't associated with or have no reason to be in Ul'dah. It would be nice if Gridania and Limsa Lominsa expanded so that the Quicksand wouldn't be so congested. I'd also like to see RP extend to other locations throughout the world for the sake of diversity. Some notable places I like: The Gold Saucer Camp Bronze Lake The Bismark in Limsa Lominsa Costa Del Sol I appreciate some of the regular events that make use of spaces out of the cities (Like the Grindstone tournament), and hope to see more.

There are people from many time zones on Balmung, so even overseas I'm sure you'll have options. I think it's helpful to examine characters and not be afraid to initiate with people who say they are open to RP.

Thx. I always want to use that haircut for everything, or the other boyish one that's really shaggy. It's a little goofy but I like it. I specifically like the little tuft that sticks out like a little antenna on top. I tried the new short, groomed hairstyle but it felt a little unnatural to me so I swapped it. Maybe another time!

I voted "somewhat important". Personally, I'd like to get out of the bars and out into the open world a little more. IC dungeon runs, IC hunts, or just running around in the world in character. Being a higher level lets you go to more dungeons and safely navigate other places without the threat of death. I'm level 41 now, and while I'm a little tired of being a Coerthas errand boy for the Scions, I've also been able to go to some amazing places in the game that I wouldn't have been able to explore without being clobbered. I wouldn't judge anyone based on their gear. I personally don't have the patience or desire to do extensive grinding for any gear, and I tend not to like endgame gear in any game because it's often pretty over the top.
