This sums up my opinion quite well! It's nice to send a tell to confirm. Sometimes people aren't looking for something new at the moment, or maybe they wanna log off soon and don't want to start anything. There could be any number of reasons. I enjoy when others do it to me, because I'm not always ready to go, or I'll have other plans I don't want to interrupt.

A good tactic! If I could go back to June tortles and tell him anything, it would be to play a tank because my friends are mostly healers and tanks are always in demand. At the very least, like you say, level a tank alongside my DPS.

I decided to shy away from this archetype, because it's one I don't normally like in games to begin with. He has may have his jerk moments, but probably gets along with other races more than his own. OOC I love to joke about Elezen superiority, but in reality it's not like that at all.

Late response, but I haven't drawn anything FF14 in a while and figured I'd get around when I next posted. But, thank you! I hated being told I should do picture books in college, but I'd be more okay with it now. Not so much into children's books, but I don't think I would turn away a project. I'd prefer to make picture books for adults New stuff! This is a serious matter. On a related note, I am also very serious, all the time. Sure, my proportions are odd, if you're okay with block people. Get him while he's hot!

I did notice in recent weeks/months that I've seen more Elezen about. I see more men than I see women (but that may be because that's what I want to see!). I imagine some Au Ra have switched over or switched back after playing with scales for HW launch. I figure people have also been inspired after finishing HW to want to be an elf, because a lot of PCs I see are Ishgardian.

It's funny that people are weirded out by neck elongation but are okay with.. Scales Horns Tails Furry ears No eyebrows Oh well. Proud elf guy, here.

I think that every time, ha. The questline is quite silly, but I find it so bizarre that it's very entertaining. Yes, the quests can be tedious and involve just a lot of foot work, but, that's pretty much most questing in the game anyways, so I don't see the difference! Besides. Gentleman's pose, come on!

Welcome! You'll definitely be able to find plenty of people who stick to lore. Sometimes when I see people in game that interest me I'll check to see if they have a wiki page and see how they present their character, or I'll check out their tumblr if they have one. It helps to follow lore discussions on the forums, too!

Ha. Thanks. I didn't know what Inktober was until just now! My drawings are done in pen most of the time anyway, and I tend not to like monthly challenges, but I may jump in and catch up. I'll think about it!

I rarely see tanks mark targets, unless there are specific mechanics involved, and it usually works out okay. As a DPS I just target whatever the other DPS is targetting, and the tank manages to take care of any threat management somehow.

I'm of the school of thought that healing takes care of immediate damage, but you still need time to heal. Your body has to adjust, and your scars and bruises need to heal. I don't care for instant "everything's all better" healing. I was recently called out by a character who healed me, because afterwards I RP'ed hesitation to stand on my leg that was just stabbed with a sword, and that I limped to go sit somewhere else. As a healer, I like the same approach, and would encourage others to take it easy and fully recover, and avoid being rough on their injuries.

Welcome! I think I saw you around Limsa recently! Lots of people have groups, but I think a good amount of people are open to newcomers and adding to their social networks. I would advise checking out events that interest you, and even some events that may be a little out of your comfort zone. It's a good chance to see some people in action and get a feel for what you might like. Besides that, people often have details in their Search Info in-game, so that's a good chance to see who you can approach and who might be open. Good luck!

Ha! Thanks. I'll often draw stuff that looks Beaton-esque, but I can't say I mind! I love her style and content, and she's gotten pretty damn successful. I've seen her work enough that I'm probably ripping some of it. It's kind of funny how much stuff overlaps by chance, but also how much you subconsciously imitate other peoples styles, and then start mixing things together.
