((Ambient Scene)) Out among the grays and browns in the crowds and villages across Eorzea, colors spring up. Bright vivid colors on cloth hung up on walls, flowers and ribbons across doorways and feet. In a strange contrast, the colorful scenes depict the night, centering on a bright iridescent moon. Within the trees of the Shroud carved moons and other trinkets are left for the moonlight to shine on. Maps and signs are passed around in markets and town centers, furs in demand and being sold to travelers as they head northward. "I want to touch the stone of the Lover!" "The songs are going to be enchanting..." "She guides us every night." "I want to renew my vows there." "I shall declare my commitment to my family!" "It will strengthen our connection." "I wish to feel closer to the land and the people." "I'm going to make a fond memory." The bells will ring soon at Camp Dragonhead.

The power of choice is in the gil! A loaded lady gets her choice regardless, aye? What? Loaded ladies always get their choice. Wow something actually went over Berrod's head. I thought he was taller than that. :dazed: -

I've been asking around, but I'll throw it here too. If a group of 4-8 would like to do something a little more spiffy for the magical ward to keep everyone warm at the pilgrimage drop me a line. I'm still waiting to hear back from a few people and Valentine's has been kind of grabbing people sporadically so I wanted to keep options open or maybe pair up some folks. Also tentative plan notes for everyone involved will be going out this weekend! So excited! Stars, snow, songs, stories.:lol: -

I would be happy to do this, or perform or tell couples their fortune. Thank you for offering! I know, Menphina likes it cold! But this time we're not going inside to be by a comfy warm fire. It's going to be all outside. The cliffside view is amazing, though, and even in the blizzard weather it's magically beautiful. Plus for the RP feel, there shall be a magical see-through tent set up at the spot, so everyone will end up being warm enough to survive for hours without getting frostbite. Holy Clan Batman! No pressure.. :dazed: This is very exciting! It should be a real treat with how many people sharing stories and songs and celebrations! ~~~~~~~~~~~ After speaking with a lot of people online, decided to go a bit of a different route with the blessings afterwards. There are going to be so many performances that after people can share their own promises and blessings after the ceremony to Menphina's stone, that way there isn't a line of people waiting and the event ends up being five hours with the main cluster of people. Going to ask around for a few people to be kind of the 'example' in a way to come up first and set the bar of sharing a promise of love (platonic, romantic, any style) to either Eorzea (fellow man), a specific person, or even a particular group. People as always are free to ask for their own personal blessings from Menphina at the stone so it should turn out to have a nice view. I'm going to try to get in a good spot for some nice screenshots of people gathered together there. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~*~*~ Another note, if anyone can be an arcanist and have one of the carbuncles out to position around the perimeter of the event, that should give it a really nice look of magic for the cold weather ~*~*~ Eeee I'm so excited, I'm really floored. Someone hold me. -

Still in need of a few people for after the performances to interact with participants. Anyone with a spiritual background or is a healer and can talk to people about their thoughts, oversee promises to each-other, or even give blessings. It's a bit of an improvise job to react with whatever people come forward and say. Can reply here or PM me. I'll keep checking around in game as well. -
Pretty much, there's no right or wrong to it. And if people there don't want to listen to it, they don't. From what little I've done the performer will write a bit IC of how the music is there to give it description and then after that give the link in an OOC footnote. Usually it's just a background thing to the other stuff they talk about be it singing a song or reciting a story. It's pretty free form and completely up to them. Examples: Vaughn Antain removes the stylized mahogany lapharp from his side, tuning it a moment while looking to Jaques with a smile before plucking it's strings. (( Music Link )) Jancis Milburga looks up into the lofts of the tower, drums starting to sound. As Jancis holds up the hand-bell to signal the ceremony over, a chorus of Halone faithful sing, echoing through the stonework and across the snowy land outside. ((Music Link)) Here's an example of Ciel linking music then having her character sing the lyrics. Hope that helps. ((Also don't over think it. Like Faye said just giving people an opportunity to come to one place and giving them a simple topic to interact with is really enough.))

I am loving this event. It is fantastic to see someone get approached by a cute bard dressed all up for the telegram delivery and singing! I've run into five of them so far and it's just Eeeeee!!! (Plus I got snagged and it was super Eeeee!!!)

Some of that wafted our way... Also I seem to be a master of catching blinks.

Letter to Ul'dah via Courier Dear Cici, I must needs return to the Jewel and see you. Is so much that flows through my mind that even in my meditation I long to share and ramble about. Would it be remiss if I wrote to you about Oscare once more? In truth, I see him in passing and at most once a fortnight which is not as often and many claim to. Does anyone resemble me around the high walls of the Goblet? For I know of no man that looks like him; the sun-kissed mocha that only grows darker into such a shade of sepia that only highlight his brilliant amethyst eyes. No. No one looks like him that I know of. For the few times I have seen him of late, he has acted different. I am heartened that he has the token of drive and confidence of time's past, but there is something more to it. It is warm and supportive what he says to me, indirectly, weaved into words of poetry and song. I overheard a scant few words as I spoke to Master Verad (also, have you seen some of his wares? He seems like such a kind and giving man that I would like to see his stall some time and maybe trade. Especially those little roasted nuts he did share with me previously for they were a nice treat. If you know of where it is will you show me next time I visit?) with my name between Oscare and Kale. I have seen Kale look at me that way before, when he would glance at Z'enath (though this time with less malice) and Thaliak would be the only other who knows what the two men spoke of in full. Lady Ciel approached me the other day with a song from Oscare. It was unforgettable. Her high lilting voice, I dare think she is a soprano, brought tears to my eyes as if Menphina Herself embodied the woman to share such a song. I have even heard her sing before and, while moving, it is a power to behold when it is directly at you. Not that I would fall over, but I was very much aware that I had to focus on standing and that I was holding items in my arms to not lose grip upon. The lady was amused at how I became verklempt afterwards; she must be use to how moving her words are. For all these things, including others that I shalt bore you with in reading, I feel he is dare say fond of me. Our time together is so sparse I would not call it courting. Least not yet. Forgive me, though I will travel to you to spend time with you, it shall not be for you alone. I must needs know what drives him. Mayhaps attempt to follow him and have Althyk combine our time. On that note, I wonder how your time is spent and who it is spent with. I would know more about the midlander lord that kept your eye as you kept his arm at the Starlight Ball. You are important to me and I shall continue to show such in more than word, shall be in deed as well. I shalt not be a stranger for long. Until then be safe. Jancis

Wow thank you! So happy about the music (fun tidbits is for many events Vaughn has provided the music in more than one way and also the man behind Warren has appeared at all but one pilgrimage so he'd know). I actually always play music to myself at events to help me focus, especially when they get larger, and to help.

Yes it is, your favorite place. ♪ I could use one more, sure, even if he does get bored and look around. You'll fit in with many of the rest. hehehe  You'll have the grand job of watching over the performers. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ One big thing that I do need are people who are willing to give blessings and speak to pilgrims after the ceremony. It's mostly an improv job and I'll try to space everyone out so the influx of text isn't too overwhelming. Let me know if you're interested.
