  1. Thank you to everyone who attended! We rose 1.2 million gil towards our company house expansion! The auction lasted longer then expected but still fun all the same!
  2. No. No, no, no, no, no. How had it all gone so horrendously wrong? She didn't get out of bed that morning. She didn't have the strength too. Though the rest of the Society could easily dispute that the whole thing was a success in every way, she felt like they had failed. Yes, they succeeded in their original goal: Ox was now healthy and of good cheer in a new body. He wasn't going to rot and wither before their eyes anymore. But the body they chose... Velstraz. No. Ghislan. Lili began to retch again, leaning over the side of her bed for a bucket that she had gotten at ready in the middle of the night when the first spasms of bile overtook her. But even as she straddled the bucket in her lap and coughed, there was nothing more for her system to give. Twelve, she couldn't even cry anymore. It should have been a joyous reunion. She got what so many widows ached and yearned for. She got her husband back, alive and well, with limbs in tact and sound of mind. He had been alive all of these years, prisoner to the Garleans and forced to work as their agent while the rest of the world deemed him dead. But why wasn't she happy? She felt like she was supposed to be happy. Ecstatic really. Her children had their father back, her family could once more be made whole, Ado could know who was the man who raised his brother and sisters... The pit in her stomach felt like it got deeper. Even thinking of it that way she wasn't happy. After spending years of mourning, grieving, and having weeks worth of time where the emotional fatigue kept her from performing basic functions like getting out of bed, she had gotten to a point almost two years ago where she could finally live. Where she didn't dwell on his supposed demise on a constant basis and where she could crave the touch and comfort of another without feeling shame or guilt for it. Like she was committing some form of infidelity against his memory. Hells, she nearly got married. Sweat formed over her brow just at the thought, and in a pathetic way she thanked her deities that that never happened. She might've tossed herself off a balcony. It was then that she glanced towards the door and saw a letter on the floor a little ways from it, like someone slipped it under her door at some point in the night. Setting down the bucket and wrapping herself in her blankets and quilts, Lili shuffled across the room with measured steps. She didn't want to faint again. She felt cold as death when she reached down for the note and read it, the script familiar in more then one way. Her lips started to tremble as she crumpled the note in her hand. It wasn't just Ghislan she was dealing with anymore. Ox was a part of this too. If possible, she felt even more wretched. Ox and him shared each other's thoughts and memories, blending together until they formed a single entity. One person. In an all too familiar body. The blonde never even made it back to the bed. She fell to the floor in a heap on her hands and knees and sobbed.
  3. Saying that they are completely unfounded may be a little harsh. I had an old friend who had started up an online relationship with a woman he thought was in her twenties and during that time they did text based erotica and RP with one another as the relationship went on. One day I'm on the phone with him and he gets a knock on his door from the police. That twenty something was actually a sixteen year old girl whose mom read her chatlogs when she had stepped away from the computer for dinner and called the police. It was very real and he got in trouble for it. Not enough to be convicted as a sex offender, but it still made a negative impact over his life.
  4. That's understandable. But it's also not wrong for people to be uncomfortable with sexual/romantic situations involving lalafel. and we should respect an individual's preferences once they've been made clear. Also wanted to add that a friend of mine, Ja'ren, brought up the good idea of including "No romance rp" in the search info of characters trying to avoid these situations. I don't know how I feel about those kinds of measures even being necessary but considering it could result in someone having a more comfortable rp experience I think it's worth saying. I have a friend who has in her search info that her character is asexual. She claims it's been a breeze and no one propositions her, not even OOCly. Though she may also just be lucky.
  5. *gives the biggest and most exuberant possible slow clap of her life*
  6. I'll keep all of these in mind Thank you both!:love::love::love::love:
  7. She looked rapidly between the two. On one hand, she was oh so grateful for the help! On the other? She didn't want to be a burden, or come off as even more of an oddball. Franz leaning down did help, some of Subi's skittishness ebbing away by a fraction. At least it was progress. After another look between the two, she began mumbling off ingredients. "F-Flour...eggs...vanilla beans...apple juice..." She went on and on, answering Franz's question after naming off her list. "I like to bake, b-but it's moreso as a hobby!"
  8. Some say that when one goes against the grain of their morals, it tends to haunt their dreams. For the third night in a row, Lili's eyes fluttered open to peer up at the ceiling. It was silent in her room save for the occasional drip of her newly installed showerhead in the corner. She couldn't even hear anything down and around the halls or coming from the front room. Was it still so late? Or just obscenely early? Her newly dyed hair hung over her eyes, making her view the world through the messy strands. As she rubbed at her face, she moved to try and roll over and yank her pillow over her head. This was going to be worth it. She was saving his life. So why was her conscience telling her to cease?
  9. So lately I've been playing my alt more and falling in love with her all over again! She's an exuberant little purple haired miqo'te with skills as a thaumaturge that can freeze or melt peoples' limbs if they let her touch them. She's far from violent and is rather bubbly and overly fond of cookies. However, not sure where to place her. I'd rather not keep her in my old FC so as to allow myself to branch outside of my group of RP friends and find new people for this new character. You can find what bits of her profile I have been working on in the RPC! Any suggestions or places to point me too are welcome! Other things of note about her: She's pretty flexible as to where she can fit in. And her innocence sometimes gets her into trouble.
  10. Welcome to the RPC! If you need anything, don't hesitate to pop a message my way
  11. After having been dragged into the leveling grind for my SCH and getting new inspiration here and there, I'll be checking into some of these Thanks for all those who showed interest!
  12. "W-Well...uhm..." She looked down, twiddling her thumbs together shyly and wondering what all she would need while at the same time unsure about bothering these two strangers despite the kindness given towards her. "B-But I...I don't want to inconvenience anyone. Y-You both probably have a lot of things to do today!"
  13. My FC does weekly IC dungeon runs every Sunday and they're LOADS of fun
  14. She took Melodia's hand, slowly rising up with the tiniest of sniffles. She looked between her and Franz, starting to feel embarrassed that such a fuss was raised but she drew the attention upon herself anyways. She looked back and forth between the two before blurting out, "Well, I don't have enough ingredients for another batch! By the time I go to the market, get the supplies, go back, bake, let them cool, and then come back, it'll be late!" She shuffled her feet, boots scuffing against the stone and the crumbs. Everything was beyond salvageable. "I could always wait till tomorrow," she mumbled grumpily to herself.

  16. There was never a miqo'te who looked more downtrodden then the little purplette crawling around on the ground. She looked up at Melodia, one eye dark green and the other lighter so, and they were shimmering with distress. All of this over cookies? "B-But...I just baked these this morning! A-And were going to hand them out to people since it's morning and everyone's going too and from their work places and stuffs and things!" She plopped back on her buttocks, hanging her head with a rather heavy sigh. "And because of a hole in my pocket I can't hand them out to anyone..." Her tail, slender though with a tuft of dark hair at the ends, curled around her own upper thigh while her ears continued to remain shirked back.
  17. Note: I update my RPC profiles as much as I'm able, and right now only Lili and Subi have any. I also love love love to get rumors placed on my profiles. So if you've met my characters don't hesitate to add something!
  18. ((OOC: Been spending time on my alt lately, so thought I'd give her a little RP thread of her own )) It was always so crowded and bustling no matter which city she visited. Gridania? Ul'dah? Didn't matter. Not that she minded! M'subi actually liked people and all their personalities and stories they had to tell. Everyone was so special, so unique and one of a kind in their own rights. It was fascinating to watch, and today was no different. Now with her and Rinh'sae back in the city-states to stay for a while, she got back to doing one of the things she did on a regular basis: plop some where comfortable and just watch people. Her ears and tail were constantly in motion, either twitching or swaying with the occasional jerk in reaction to a sound or something else she might have heard. Now...time for her old habits! The Drowning Wench was her place of choice today, for it was in La Noscea that she grew up and felt most at home. Seated at one of the little tables, she dove her hand into her pockets for a cookie. A fresh, warm, moist coo- But she felt nothing. Her eyes widened and her gaze darted back to her pocket. But she just sat down. Where did they-? It was then that she happened to look up and spotted the answer to her mystery: her little cookies formed a trail from the elevator across the floor and to her seat. Her finger finally found the hole that had been in one of her inside pockets where she kept her treat, and a whine soon followed. "No, no, no! Oh blast!" Skittering up, she began shuffling on her hands and knees to pick up the remains of her goodies, ears pinned back and a sulk on her lips as she worked to salvage what she could and not caring if she looked ridiculous crawling on the floor after crumbs.
  19. *is totally this friend. Loves you forever now*
