Sometimes the Society gets weird jobs...and sometimes Lili picks up the slack.

Lili was not a violent woman. She was not someone who immediately looked to immediate physical harm as a means to obtain what she wanted or desired, outcome, physical possession, or otherwise. She employed reason, advocacy, and other elements before violence in any given situation save if it was dangerous and there was no other way. But that man made her want to be murderous. Pacing in her office between her desk and the setup Ado had on the side, her teeth were grinding. Who did he think he was!? As if Ado's well being was something to be questioned! That her desire to keep him safe and from harm was up for debate, that her not accepting his initial offer somehow made her less inclined to fight for her child. It didn't matter if he wasn't her blood or even of her race. He was her baby. Hers. It didn't matter who gave her son a hard time, it made her angry. He was only five for goodness sakes! He could hardly harm a butterfly let alone an adult. Thinking back to the fight, Lili didn't give it a second thought as she grabbed a vase on her table and tossed it as hard as she could against the nearby wall. Only when it shattered and water, petals, and ceramic crashed to the floor did she realize what she did. Even as she scrambled over to pick up the pieces, the blonde realized how badly she was shaking. Asked to be used for sexual favors in order to preserve the safety of her child? She was shaking. He could burn and rot until not even his bones were left. As she reached down to pick up a piece of the vase, a sharp little edge cut deeply along her thumb. With a gasp and flinch, she brought the thumb up to her lips to suckle. Damn. Damn, damn, damn, damn. Damn him. Damn. Him. He best hope she never stumbled upon him again. She'd pull out every contact, every favor, every source of manpower she could find until he was so deeply buried into the ground that the bottom of the hole wouldn't be seen. The rage she felt startled and exhausted her, and that exhaustion began to set in as she rose up and stumbled towards her desk to wrap up her thumb and find a dust pan for the mess. By the time she walked the few steps there and back, all she wanted to do was sleep. The blonde eyed her bed nearby. Soon. She had to clean up this mess first.

Thanks to my FC for the event we had today! It was a lot of fun to play our characters in such interesting scenarios and I was laughing so hard my stomach hurt. Thanks to Locke Rinannis for all the RP we have been doing, and for allowing me to pop your Skype RP cherry Thanks to the patrons of the Quicksand which has led to a surprising amount of AMAZING RP lately in my off times. As well as meeting new people! And finally, thanks to the people on RPC I have organized RP events with and private RP connections for Lili and my alts!

C'kayah and Fae seem to hit it on the money. It's happened to me and my FC during our RPs and to me in private and public RP. Though I notice it seems to happen the most to posts that are longer, either taking up the chat limit or nearly so or that require you to flow into more then one post (paraposting). Just keep an eye on it and check. I usually poke at someone if its 5 or more minutes inbetween posts save if I know they take that long on average to type anyways.

Mmm I was going to mention this. I paid over 400k for you IIRC. If Faye manages to make the first bid worth my time I will show up and will most likely win the first bid since I cant allow my ego otherwise. That was used to buy someone's room and some furnishings to boot!

No leads yet. Well, none that she saw anyways. Lili ran her hands over her face, looking over some documents she needed to fine tune and transfer onto more formal stationary to get it out of her hair for the evening. But her mind was too distracted, her thoughts all over the place and unable to stay on the task at hand. Disregarding it, she began sweeping things aside to get ready for the end of the night. She could hear laughter from down the hall, some of the Society members hanging out amoungst themselves. Good. It kept everyone out of trouble. Her mind floated back to her conversation with Ox and the matter at hand. On top of looking into Liliana's death, she had more Void related troubles to deal with. While not her intention, it seemed the Society had become the halfway house of all things Voidtouched and corrupted. With it came the conflicts and strifes that were slowly adding behind the dam of her patience. She worried it wouldn't be much longer before it collapsed. Rising up from her chair, Lili stretched her arms above her head. Letting the joints pop and settle and letting out a loud, pleasurable purr at the relief it brought, she strode over to her newly installed alchemical furnace and began turning things down and off for the night. Making a log on a chart besides it, she went to rise up and pad to her little living space when something caught her eye. Something moved past her window. She frowned. Odd. Who would be wandering around the yard this time of night? Standing very still, she continued to stare past the pane into the darkness. Not a thing moved or rustled that she could tell, and the air was calm. Not even an evening breathe was moving through the ward on this night. With a shrug, she moved back to her bed and began to strip into a nightshirt for bed. Unaware the flicker outside, a tiny movement of light like a firefly being wiped from existance. Just like that, it was gone.

While the death of Natalie haunted many of the people from Ul'dah to Limsa, Lili had another death to worry about. The run in with Paradyme, Ella, and little Dawn had been unexpected out in Gridania, and the news of Liliana's death even moreso. Lili ran her fingers through her hair as Ado continued to sleep besides her in their rented bed, letting out the occasional little snore before curling up further against the side of his mother. At the hand of Lanza no less? He seemed volatile, but not exactly violent. Or had she just misread him? Lowly she cursed to herself. If only she hadn't gone home after all of that. If only she had stayed perhaps her look alike would still be alive. If only... Well. It didn't matter anymore. She promised Paradyme she'd get him answers so he could focus on his daughter. With that in mind, Lili slipped out of bed and slipped on some pants and a shirt. Glancing towards the door, she could see the light coming from beneath it that signaled Kaiten's aether. The poor man stood guard all night, bless him. He truly was owning up to being a 'personal knight', nonofficial title or no. As she scooped up Ado, the sleepy Lalachild grumbled against Lili's shoulder as she strode to the door. "Mommy?" "Yes, baby?" "Where are we going?" She opened the door and stepped out into the hall. "Home to the Society, little love. There's work to do."
