1. By any chance do you have a way in the editing process to make a character's hair longer, depending on the style?
2. I come up with a lot of ideas myself. Problem is I hate leveling because you have to do the story content and unlock everything over and over again. I have five character slots I use. Two of which are characters I play, one is a character I'm going to start playing soon, one is Lili's son, and the last is my 'away from it all' character. One I use that no one knows me on where I can grind or do whatever without being whispered or poked at. Over time they all develop a story, but if I didn't hate the beginning content grind so badly I'd have more established characters walking around.
3. _6o8Sji6E9Q It had been a long day. It didn't surprise Lili in the least when she got Ado back to the company house that he was snoring quietly in her arms. As she pried open the front door with her hand, Lili held her breath. Expecting to hear noises some where within the house, like Ox's booming laugh or Grael getting on a drunken ramble of some kind. When all was dim and quiet, she made her way further inside and down the hall to her own room. There were still boxes flung about her office, full of clothes or housing wares or the various knick knacks she had collected over the years from friends and her children. She had to step carefully, trying not to make any noises that could stir the Lalachild. She just got him to sleep. His Moogle toy squeaked as she stepped on it. Lili froze, stared down at Ado who released another pigletesque snort. Letting out a breath, she continued onward to the back of the room with the bedding in tact. As she set him down, she hummed to him and straightened his hair. Slipped off his little socks and shoes, let him dream fluffy, cloudlike dreams... Had she done the right thing by him? Relocating them, giving them a fresh start? Was he suffering at all? To the latter, not in any way that she could see at least. But it still left her wondering, such thoughts plaguing her long until morning as she laid besides her boy and quietly sang to him one of the first songs she ever did with him when they first met. Oh how Adokenai charmed her so! Made her heart sing in the way only a mother could do for a child. It was a love that no one person could ever rival. And in its own way it brought her comfort.
4. Lili and some of her DOVElings at the QS. Clipped the logs around the tavern spam. Keep in mind, Garl is a male Highlander and Azeiox a male Elezen. [10:49 p.m.]Azeiox Nelles: "What? What did you tell her Garl?" [10:50 p.m.]Garl Vinland: "The truth, that you are my wife." [10:50 p.m.]Nonoruni Tataruni forms a pink heart shaped rune and blows it at Azeiox Nelles teasingly. [10:50 p.m.]Nonoruni Tataruni blows Azeiox Nelles a kiss. [10:50 p.m.]You clap for Nonoruni Tataruni. [10:50 p.m.]Nanapo Napo: Y'need makeup... 'n a dress! [10:50 p.m.]Azeiox Nelles stared coldy to Garl, his arms folded as he furiously taps his arm. "Do. Did. WHAT?!" [10:51 p.m.]Garl Vinland: "I'm working on the dress part, no makeup for my wife." [10:51 p.m.]Garl Vinland: "I like -natural- beauty." [10:51 p.m.]Lilithium Altair cleared her throat, looking away as she swallowed down a few snickers. Her cheeks were getting red. [10:51 p.m.]Garl Vinland blinks seeral times before cackling with glee."I told the young folk the truth!" [10:52 p.m.]Kaiten Skyborn: "And when shall the happy couple be Bonded? We'd love to come!" [10:52 p.m.]Garl Vinland: "'Tis a good question, lad, can't really say for certain." [10:53 p.m.]Azeiox Nelles: "Don't you join in too!" [10:53 p.m.]Lilithium Altair looked entertained. "But...Az, dear, I can help you with your hair!" [10:53 p.m.]Azeiox Nelles: "And I am not wearing a dress!" [10:53 p.m.]Lilithium Altair: You'd look lovely with roses! [10:54 p.m.]Kaiten Skyborn: "Dress dress dress!" We're mean
5. Welcome welcome welcome!!!! <3 I was new too a number of years ago! Send me a message if you have any questions My character Lili can be nearly any where at any time!
6. This is Lili and Kaiten. Menel surprised us with the commission ; ; Thank you so much! It's beautiful! I fucking bawled like a little bitch!
7. Lili bowed her head to Vaughn's compliments, shifting over to Verad to help him dust off his clothing and too make sure the boy hadn't left any scuffs or tears in the fabric. "Oh, this isn't my first trip here to the Lane with these rolls. I've seen all manner of children come and go. Even watched a few grow into adults, while others won't so lucky." Satisfied that Verad wasn't hurt besides just being overly dramatic, she took a step back to look to the other two Elezen. "Thank you for helping us. It's appreciated, truly. I was just coming around for my semi weekly tradition when Verad joined me. Though I can't say I've seen you two around. New to the city or...?" She trailed off to let them finish of their own accord. A little ways farther down the lane a little girl with matted hair and dirty cheeks peeked around a crate to watch the three male Elezen and the Hyur lady. She didn't make any move to approach them, however, and thus stayed at a distance for now.
8. Q-bq5VyHWEo Loved this song when I first heard it for the Blacklist trailer, and now I can just imagine Lili sneaking up on some Garlean soldiers with this playing.
9. For a writing challenge, I almost made Lili a funny lush when I first started the game. It was going to be her way of coping with widowhood, but I couldn't see her teenagers letting her get away with that for long so it didn't stick but I always wondered about playing a drunk or drug addict.
10. When Vaughn offered his hand, she smiled. "Ah, thank you. Though I've dealt with little ones like this before." "It does with me, dear. After all." She gently released his ear, seeing that he was more calm then his older brethren (though perhaps out of fear) and took a roll from the basket. She held it out to him, only for him to try and immediately snatch it from her. She shirked it back, red lips curled into a mildly chastising smile. "And what do you say?" The little boy looked confused as the older one sneered. "See? She ain' givin' anything to ya!" "...Please?" "Indeed you may." He said the magic word, so he got the prize! Lili plopped the roll into his hand, which he almost immediately shoved into his mouth. Chewing nosily as he sunk down into a crouch against the wall. Lili made her way to the older one, trapped by his own harness, who had the audacity to spit a rather vile colored loogie at her face. It hit it's mark, right on her cheek. The blonde barely winced. "Do you want one too?" He tried to get a kick at her, but he was just out of reach. "Do I hafta say 'please' too?" Much of his fire seemed to extinguish at seeing that the little one got to eat. It was the whole point of the attack anyways. In response, Lili bobbed her head as she used the back of her hand to wipe off her cheek and smear it on her skirt. It left a stain, but oh well. "Only if you also apologize for spitting at me." Seeing that she was actually serious, he grumbled out a halfarsed apology and said 'please' and got a roll. He was surprisingly more decent about eating then the six year old, though not by much.
11. I'll be looking into this as well. Sounds like a fantastic idea!
12. Still figuring out how these things work buuuut... I'm going to start leveling Kerrigan soon, and instead of waiting around for random RP I wanted to see about preplanning something. And to give some background on the character: Kerrigan is a Miqo'te (yes, I know the name isn't of the two clans and there's a reason for it) who got badly scarred years ago by a toxic alchemical compound. It made dark burns over her face and down parts of her body and because of this she tends to not let people see her face if she can avoid it. Though there are rare moments where she doesn't care as a product of her personality and will stroll through the city letting everyone see how she once could have been rather beautiful. She's not a good aligned character in the least, though first meetings may not always expose that to outsiders. She's more inclined to get involved with seedier dealings and criminals then she is to mingle with average folks. Besides the scars, she has thick nails/claws that have been sharpened to points that she's not afraid to claw someone with. They are alchemically treated and not easy to break or bend short of taking off her fingers and she's not outside clawing at someone who gets in her bubble or irritates her. My idea is to have her become someone's private agent or to work as an informant. At least to start, and see where the RP goes from there. Because Kerrigan is not 'good', I will make a formal OOC disclaimer now that I do not mix IC and OOC. Just because my character is a bitch doesn't make me one (or bastard, for all you people know ) nor does her being 'bad' mean I think she's going to be invincible and impervious to harm. I'm not afraid to let my character take blows from the 'good guys' though I ask the same courtesy in return. Any additional ideas or questions are welcome!
13. ((OOC Note: Been a while since I posted a journal for a character Last time had been on GW2 back in...March or so? When a friend suggested I do it to highlight some of the scenes that happen to Lili via Skype RP or with my semi-NPCs, I figured I'd get back into it. OOC comments comments are welcome via private message here on the site!)) "They never let up, do they?" "Khavan, behave yourself." Lili glared at her oldest over the rim of her teacup as he was giving a hard stare to a passing Sea Wolf who had been lecherously eying his mother while passing to the bar. Self consciously, Lili smoothed down the hem of her simple grey skirt and it only served to anger her son more. Could his mother not get away with dressing nice for one day without people making her feel uncomfortable? She barely got by with wearing slacks and a man's shirt for Twelves' sake! His last train of thought he simply muttered aloud. "Maybe we should just put a bag over your head when we go out from now on." Her answering retort was dry. "I don't think it's just my face that causes them to lookie-loo, dear." "Then breast bindings." "They're too big. I'd cave in my ribs before I'd manage to trim down some extra inches on the bust. Breast bindings only serve to keep me from getting a black eye during work or training." "Bouncing around on the balls of your feet all the time would do that." "Shut up." From an outsider looking in, the two almost appeared to having a mild, passive aggressive lovers' spat. Lili was dressed neatly with a simple black patrician's coat that was made with an extended collar that only left an inch or two exposed under the jawline. A grey skirt with white stockings and heels completed the look, making her look like she was either dressed for work or a date here in the Wench (her son's choice, not her own. She avoided the Wench so as to avoid some of her old associates from the Vanguard and her days when she still lived in Limsa). Her son, however, looked far older then twenty and more around his mother's range. Though, in her defense, she didn't look thirty five years old herself. He was tall, even for someone whose father was an Ala Mhigan Highlander. At six fulms, eight ilms he was built like a brick shit house with arms and thighs that looked more prone to choking overgrown bison then doing his odd end jobs that got him by. The Sea Wolf that passed even sobered at the withering look given in return to the stare, walking to the bar all the more quickly for it. Shaking his head, Khavan focused back on the woman before him. His tiny, beautiful little mother. "So," he began, figuring there was no good way to do this, "what are you going to do?" Lili took another sip of her tea, lids lowered rather then meet his startling red eyes with her own. "About?" "The C'kayah bit. And now Kaiten. The man offered to build you a house for you and Adokenai. Hells, had been planning too anyways before the engagement got called off. Most country folk would consider that a wedding proposal in and of itself, Ma." "C'kayah and I are over, there's no debate on that. I'm sure with time we'll speak and be friendly, but for now I'd rather avoid it and him and seeing him with any new or current lovers or associates." Her tone didn't leave room for Khavan to argue with her on that. Her son never did care for the fact she had been engaged to a reknown womanizer and criminal, and the only reason it had been alright to him was because she was happy. Of course, he didn't know that she knew better. He always was a terrible liar. He spoke through his teeth when he lied, saying how he thought it seemed like a good match. Her silly little boy. No one had really liked it, but she hadn't cared. She still didn't. She'd rather lose friends (which she did) then have someone dictate who she could and couldn't be with. "As for Kaiten..." She walked that ground carefully. There was no real easy way to go about that. Kaiten had made his desire known for her early on, and she assumed that he'd get bored of her with time and move on. But, like C'kayah, he didn't. He stuck around. Got to know her even while making his voracious wanting known. Had been around almost as long as her previous mate had, and didn't make it a secret that he wanted to propose to her too. He practically had on more then one occasion. She knew why Khavan brought it up: He was worried she'd rush to someone else in the midst of her heartbreak. Do something foolish so shortly after things had transpired. Especially with the offered gesture of building her a home now that Ado and her were adjusting to the less then spacious and private conditions of her company home. Breaking from her musings, she finished her trailed off thought by gesturing to the little thing of cream on the tabletop. "Pass me the cream, dear." "You're avoiding the question." He handed it to her anyways. "No I'm not. I'm simply going to do nothing. Nothing to do, and nothing I want to do. Kaiten understands I need time and space, so there's no rush placed upon me. I never planned to remarry after your father, and if I were it would be under the very same vows: till death do us part. In a way, I should be thanking C'kayah: I'm more cautious now. I won't be entering the same arrangement anytime soon." Khavan wasn't sure if her response relieved him...or just made him worry more.
14. Well, one thing could be as well that the prices that you see in the merchants and the like are kept at a considerably low rate since many people aren't adventurers or in positions to make as much money as adventurers can. I use 'adventurer' in a very broad sense since many people I see in the game are in professions you normally don't see the general NPC population being: Black market dealers, shop/business owners, established craftsmen, etc. Most of us OOCly make our gil from DR, selling loot and crafts, FATEs, etc. Though I see a lot of people using the neutral medium more often then not since they don't like diving into it too deep. I'm always purposefully vague with Lili because of it Though if I were to think on it she's likely much more wealthy now then she was before due to the Society growing more lucrative.
15. Kudos to Dartanon for coming along to a DOVE impromptu, spur-of-the-moment RP event the other evening. I had to step out early from it due to RL keeping me occupied but everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun to bring in someone outside the FC along
16. I use the game references from merchants and the like. I feel like its a good IC basis to have.
17. My FC got the King Moogle Mog mailbox for the yard the other day. Was standing there with my BF in skype with me and I kept hearing the little noise it made. Didn't realize it was coming from the mailbox and thought it was coming from my BF's Skype. We both thought I was schizo until we realized where it was coming from. >.>;
18. For one, when Lili gets angry she says 'fuck' every few words. So she'll go from smiles and calling being 'dear' to going "I don't give a **** what your ****ing excuse is". And. She has a small trap door in her office that leads to places :-3 She's only ever shown one person it before and it comes up in a non disclosed part of Ul'dah. She's never personally used it but she's helped guide others who needed a legitimate reason to get too and from the city undetected.
19. I will be contacting you guys in the very near future for this, so watch for me
