Coatleque sat clutching the ring as she quietly watched the rain. She had returned to her room for its safe-keeping but found it hard to leave now. The chair had been moved closer to the balcony and the doors were open. Outside was raging one of Thanalan's storms that seemed to come and go without a moment's notice. The best part of the rain is that no one can distinguish it from your own tears. If only she was outside. The ring had been damaged in some way, and repaired afterword. Not that she did not appreciate the attempt made. It was unclear to her what she was more upset about. That the break had occurred, or that Warren had been in that much danger to begin with. But also that woman. It infuriated her that he had chosen the other over herself. She did her best to ignore them at the Grindstone. But the way the other woman seemed so disinterested. So... nonchalant over everything going on. Warren himself had also changed, she could tell. He seemed tired, haggard even; He looked beat, and not just emotionally. Fighting a losing battle perhaps. He looked nothing like the Paladin she had known. Coatleque knew she would never have treated him that way. It vexed her beyond words. The half bottle of cinnamon whiskey still sat on the dresser. She pondered it briefly but turned back to the window. Too much time was already wasted that way. She had decided as much while away in La Noscea. A fool, she was, to let her guard down so easily. Things would be different going forward, she told herself, no more unnecessary distractions. A slight buzzing sound came from the small pouch of linkpearls she carried. With a sigh she reached in and found the one that had activated, quickly switching it with the one at her ear. "Ser Crofte?", came Osric's voice. "Ser?" "I have an update for you..."

I assume you mean the Grandmaster? It's not that he had another occupation, but was working under cover which you find out later in the quest. I've assumed this same stance whenever Coatleque has to leave Thanalan on Sworn business. She does not wear her armor in Limsa Lominsa, for example. ---------- Something else people ask about is 'down time'. What does a Sultansworn do when they are off-duty? Anything they want, really. They are still people - this is just their day job. Just keep in mind that not being 'at work' does not mean they stop being a Paladin. Coatleque often says she is 'always on duty' (thanks Inspector Gadget). She may not be guarding the palace for 16 hours of the day, but she is still actively monitoring the Sultana's welfare.

There are most likely only about 160 active Sultansworn in the city. Most of them will probably be stationed in or around the Palace, in the training yard, or barracks. I would imagine they probably cover guard rotations in three shifts. You would probably be able to recognize the faces of the regulars as they stand at their posts quite often. Or in the case of PC's, because of the roles they fulfill.

I've never actually beaten any of the bosses in Minecraft. :blush: I spend all my time building fortresses, walls, and roads between them.

She leaned forward with an elbow on her knee and attempted to rest her chin on her hand, missing by about three ilms to the left. Sitting up she looked around to get her bearings again, or perhaps to make sure nobody saw, before trying the maneuver once more. Trying to look completely interested she remarked "Aye now, how does a walkin' pillow find love anyway?"

I have to do Natalie x Taeros now because of recent events. I don't see them actually having a relationship. But I do see Natalie waking up with a hangover one morning going "WTF did I just do?" {edit} wtf = 'who' the fuck

Coatleque has also gone to Limsa Lominsa in the hopes of trailing Natalie to prevent her from causing a diplomatic incident. At the same time she is avoiding alcohol and trying to clear her head while being away from Thanalan.

I believe this is done intentionally to leave room for the camera to zoom out. Granted it looks weird from a lower angle, but how often does one play like that?
