I haven't tried T9 yet but hope to at least before they add in an Echo buff. Should probably clear T7 & T8 first.

One of my favourite names that I've seen on Balmung is C'upa Tia. And they said it fits the naming convention. Makes me smile every time I see them. I just liked the sound of Aris' name and I wish I'd picked something different, but the Miqo'te naming convention is quite strict. The Roe Hellsguard and Highlander naming conventions are my favourites as it feels like you could put a bit more meaning into them.

I recommend checking the party finder. There are generally several on there, and update regularly so it's worth checking back often, especially during EST afternoon/evening. Alternatively you could make one - T6/T7 and Shiva/Ramuh EX seem to fill up the quickest at the moment. I'd be happy to come along if you ever need a healer, just send a message. I need practice and will help with what I can.

I've just started Dragon Age: Origins as well! Not sure what to make of it so far, but Inquisition looks great so I have high hopes. ..I've skipped most of this thread because I don't know if any spoilers are here.

If I'm able to get on at the appropriate times (EU player) I would be interested to come along as Aris. This would be my first time RPing though, and I haven't completely figured her out, but if you wouldn't mind me coming despite that then sign me up. Could DPS or heal.

I think they're ideal for RP - to me they look like regular, normal, NPC clothes, but a bit nicer than the hempen shirt style for example. It would be nice to have some more items similar I agree, it would be nice if they weren't race/gender locked. I would use them if Aris was one of the other races but the Miqo'te ones don't really suit her character, except maybe the boots. I use the lalafell ones though, they're adorable.

As Mae said, if the the game has stated something as fact then I'd prefer to stick to it personally. I do prefer to stick to lore, but when it comes down to it, when RPing with others as long as I find them interesting and am enjoying their company, I don't mind what they've done with the lore as long as it's feasible and are happy doing it. I've never done it before, but I imagine if I RP'd in a bigger group rather than 1:1 it would need to be a little stricter though as everyone has different lore opinions. I'm stuck with Aris' character because I'm not sure if my ideas would fit in lore-wise. I'm sure they could but I'm making things up that aren't mentioned in the game. Tbh it wouldn't effect the lore I don't think, but I don't know if it would put off others RPing with me. So I haven't got very far developing her character because of it as I'm not sure whether to rethink things. But I do agree - if it's rare, respect its rarity please. This is all badly worded and not really what you asked I'm sorry, but it's been nice to read through everyone's opinions.

Definitely my biggest issue too! Healing is my favourite thing to do, but I've avoided it in any end game content so far. If anyone would be interested in an informal static to learn things, perhaps we could put one together? I'd love to find people who won't mind my nervous healing and awkwardness.

Same here. o/ I haven't cleared turns 8/9, but am patient and more than willing to help, and would like to learn myself lol. To be honest for me the issue is just finding a nice practise team. So many rude people all over duty & party finder.

I'd love to come along if it'll doesn't start too late (I'm in EU) Aris isn't in a tribe of any sort, nor does she worship Azeyma and Menphina explicitly. But it would be an experience she feels she should go to as a Miqo'te, and to learn more about her heritage. Would it be okay that she still comes along despite not worshiping either? Honestly though, this sounds like a wonderful idea. I could imagine something like this happening on each eclipse and it be the rare occasion Seekers and Keepers join together to celebrate their deities creating a natural wonder in harmony. Or something.

Hello. I hope I'm posting this in the correct thread. This might be a long shot, but are there any FCs that run Coil/Primals as well as an interest RP? It would be lovely to find others with similar interests. Sadly I'm not very good at meeting people and starting relationships, so thought I'd ask here as an FC seems like a good opportunity. I've never actually RP'd before as I haven't a lot of confidence, but would like to start. I am in some different linkshells, but sadly there isn't a lot of chat. I think I'd prefer to find a FC any way as they seem to have a tighter community.

When it's full you're put into a queue - I went on at the weekend and it was a queue of 24 people! But I just kept spamming the X button and it only took 30 seconds so it isn't too much of an issue. Usually creating a character during the afternoon is fine, but I guess as there's high traffic for long periods of the day it's closed! It should be quieter this week as people will be back to work/college/stuff, so I'm sure you'll get in in no time. :thumbsup:

I think it's around 11/12 pounds. Personally I don't think it's worth spending the money, unless you want to. As Sastra said, as soon as maintenance ends is a good time. Or before maintenance is about the start. When I log on during the afternoon I usually have no problem getting in, but over the past couple of weeks because everyone is still hyped over the patch there are sometimes queues to get in. I think UK mornings would probably be best at the moment as that's middle of the night EST. Hey, when you finally get here you'll get a big welcome hug from us! \o/

With the recent patch release it is extra busy at the moment, but it does open at some points I assure you.

I'm an EU (UK) player on Balmung, and the main issue I've found is often some RP events don't begin until past midnight for me, or at least late evening, which is disheartening. Many RP FCs with a big EU presence will often do events that will fit in with EU schedules though, so it isn't always a problem.

I am so indecisive when it comes to character names! I'll often buy a game but not get started for several days until I've thought of the perfect name and character design. For me, it'll just be a name I click with. I don't mind taking a long time to think of one because previously I've created a character, gotten into the game and then thought "nope. i must start again I hate their name". Oh well, I get started eventually. I like to fit it in with the lore of the game if the opportunity is there. I wish I'd thought of a different name for Aris though - her surname is 'Frey' and everyone thinks it's a Game of Thrones reference, but it isn't.

Hello! I wondered if there would be any chance of rearranging the time (possibly an hour later?) Just thought I'd ask in case! I understand it's unlikely.

I think everyone has answered your questions already - but I will add, if you decide you dislike playing the first class you pick, you're able to change at level 10. You can play all the classes (simply change by swapping your weapon) so you can try out several if you wish!

I'd also be incredibly interested in this! I'm not making much headway with my end game progression as most people I know are already in statics or prefer to do other things. Sadly the duty finder is hopeless in this situation. It'd be lovely to find some more people to regularly play with.
