  1. Zyru, I have a lot of things I could say to you right now but will not. I will say this, though, you are presenting a very valid point in the most douchey, inconsiderate, and discriminatory manner possible.
  2. It looks like all NA servers got it so not that special after all, but I am still very happy and grateful that we get them ^^
  3. "If there were truly gods whom bestow blessings, the battlefield would be a much less gruesome place. Since it is not, I can only deduct that they do not exist, or care not for your vehement praises and rituals."
  4. Ok here I will try. Please note I never played any kind of tabletop RPG so please do feel free to critique if something sounds off. Literally all of my knowledge on this subject has come from reading this thread, so please go easy if you do critique ^^; STR: 10 - Titor is able to perform the strength requirements given to enlist in the Flames, so assuming that that would require an 11-12, I took off a few points due to his occasional passing out (also why he recently got honorably discharged from the Flames, still works independently with them though) DEX: 10 - Titor has never used a ranged weapon such as a bow or a gun in combat or for any practical purpose. However he is able to last on the field through combat as a combat medic and retrieve the wounded or whatnot so is able to perform there. FORT: 16 - Titor is pretty resilient. I am not really sure how to judge this one since he does have a chronic illness (anemia) and contracted sickness often as a child. However he never lets that stop him or loses heart in it, and always tries to come back and does not give up there (he still dreams that he can soon reenlist in the Flames). He was able to keep up in the heat of combat without running out of steam (unless his anemia made him collapse). This is really a hard stat for me to judge for Titor so.... Going to put it as this for now, since his fortitude seems to depend on the day and situation. INT: 20 - Well, he is kind of at savant levels of being able to see aetheric geometries/doctor/perform calculations in his head and stuff. Like with savantism this lies his entire knowledge. Do anything with fistfighting or how to raise animals or farm or any other aspect he is not gifted in those areas just average. He also is not a veterinarian and is not knowledgeable about how to heal or deal with pets/animals. I am not sure if considering my character a savant in this field would be gary stu or anything, but I feel like he has many other flaws or downfalls that balance it out (I also consent the person that I am rping with to be sure they are ok with me healing something or whatever so yeah) WIS: 15 - His wisdom comes from being a doctor, he knows how to console people in times or grief or keep people's spirits up while forgoing surgery or healing. However if it came to wisdom on diplomatic matters he would not be the type to consult, so he has doctorly wisdom. CHA: 8 - Titor is a bit shy outside of his role as a doctor. As a doctor he is all business and serious about it, but just approaching him in casual conversation he sometimes is at a loss for words or will try to drift the conversation to one of his interests since it is something he knows pretty well. He is very polite though and not rude, so if it seems like the other party is not interested he will just shut up and kind of withdraw. So yeah, that was my attempt to assign him stats... Gentile critique would be nice, though, if you have any, remember I am new at placing stats >_<
  5. Titor

    Hello!

    Greetings and welcome o/
  6. TY Also, I had not really played EQII as much, but I know that Wildstar gives everyone a house for free(? it was in beta IIRC). You could change the climate, outside, grass, everything. Even a very old game such as Toontown (from 2003), a game for children is able to have instanced housing for every single character, alts and not. (I played this game way back when as a child do not judge >_>) But really if a game made in 2003 for children can support housing for everyone, IDK why a really new supposedly cutting edge game is not able to.
  7. I had managed to snag one of the small houses in the Goblet. I had got it for the purpose of using it for RP mostly, and since housing is so limited with their implementation I would like to share it with those who have not had the chance to get a house. I was thinking of allowing it to be 'rented out' (except with no fee) where someone could schedule using it for a few hours for RP purposes, and I could rearrange it however they want for their event and such. This way people who are not in a FC with a house/have perms to rearrange their house/whatever would be able to hold events that they would like. The people holding the event would pretend it is a event hall or their hall, and not "Titor's house" since ICly his house is a full-time lab/clinic, but I am not using it all the time and would love to share/help out others ^^ Would there be any interest in this? I could set up a schedule and some terms and conditions and such if there would be interest
  8. All in all I do not think that housing should be taking up that much memory. Below is a rough calculation that I had made when this was first announced. I made the mistake of posting it on the OF where I got flamed and insulted to the point that I took it down. IDK why, was genuinely trying to get an estimate and was not attacking anyone (unlike most of the other threads that were getting support and upvotes), but whatever that is besides the point. Here were my calculations that I had preserved.
  9. Everyone here is saying that you should micromanage your pet. I... kind of disagree. Or at least it is my preference not to. I think that if I micromanaged my pet, a lot of her healing would end up being overheal. The pet AI is not awful, it seems to heal the lowest target in range, and it uses its abilities as soon as they cool down (I use Selene, so this is probably what makes it easier than using Eos.) I am a pretty confident standalone healer (Talking about not having my pet out, not having another healer in the party), I do not rely on my pet much to keep people up. I do enjoy having her as a 'backup' healer, say if two DPS get hit by an AoE, she heals one, and I heal the other (Like how the ranged get hit at the same time in t7). Thais actually ends up working pretty well for me. Or if I see a DPS is getting low, but will not likely take damage again in the near future, whereas the tank is getting wailed on, I focus on keeping the tank up while my fairy heals the dps/other low party member. This strategy has gotten my pretty far, with a lot of complements on my healing. I have managed to pug up to T7 (which I am pretty sure I can down if I get into a clear group). I am not in a static or anything since I do not like to COMMIT a night to raiding, but I often fill in for statics when they post in DF, and so far I have not received any bad comments or were replaced, so I think this method works for me. Also note that SCH is my main and I just started raiding T5+ about a month ago. I never really had any trouble with any of the primal EX (sans Ramuh, which I had not really attempted yet) Micromanaging is just not my playstyle, and I think if I did do it I would end up with a lot of overhealing or dead people. I might try it sometime, though, but why fix something that is not broken, really.
  10. Woo! Yay we get the cactaur and dodo earrings. It seems like a lot of worlds are selected so it may not be that big of a thing but I am happy about it. source This post only says dodo earrings, but the one on the announcement said both cactaur and dodo. I really want the cactaur ones so I hope that it is actually both
  11. On what matter, what happened? If it is something on the RP community I am sure we could come together to improve if something upset you...
  12. Titor is a medic/doctor/scientist/aetheric engineer. While he is never around Limsa for long, he goes by to check on the arcanists guild every once in a while. He is not an arcanist in the guild sense of the word, but instead took that base knowledge of using aetheric geometries to expand on and create new geometries. He probably would have met Brandt in his scientific career if you would have wanted him too, and I think it would be funny rping them together if Brandt is foul-mouthed and loud, whereas Titor uses all proper language and etiquette. Nonetheless they seem to share intellectual interests if you would want to RP.
  13. Titor would probably most likely be tempered by Ramuh. 1) Titor is a lawful good character, and absolutely despises lawbreakers/thieves/other evil aspects of the world. It really gets to him, and while he works in/with the Flames his ability to punish said lawbreakers is limited. Since Ramuh is very keen on Judgement, but seems to be called benevolent anyway, it lines up a bit on Titor's feelings, even if Titor is never able to unleash "Judgement" 2) Titor is pretty terrified of lightning and lightning aspects, however his aether is aligned to wind-lightning. Things never seem to go his way in terms of aspects so from his storyline it would make sense that he got tempered by a god of lightning. 3) Titor craves knowledge and wisdom, especially in terms of science and aether. Since Ramuh is known to be one of the wiser primals, Titor would be more drawn to this primal than the others simply for his wisdom and knowledge (Though Ramuh would probably not share any of this knowledge with Titor, it would be easier to temper him under the premise that Ramuh would) Titor would hate being tempered by Leviathan 1) Titor hates water/the sea/anything to do with water or the sea. Aside from this dislike for it, he would probably never be in an IC location where Leviathan would be (unless Leviathan somehow came into land or Thanalan, where Titor mostly spends his time) 2) Most of the other people/creatures tempered by Leviathan would probably be pirates or sea-aspected beastmen. Again due to Titor's lawful good alignment, he really hates pirates and would probably be annoyed by and hate the rest of his tempered co-workers. Way that Titor would likely be willingly tempered Titor would probably be willingly tempered by Ramuh. The reason being that Ramuh would have to tell Titor how his goals were the same as Titor's (To cast judgement on the wicked, even if Ramuh's views are different than Titor's), and how Ramuh would impart his ancient wisdom and knowledge of the Aether on Titor only if he would be tempered. I could see Ramuh being deceptive enough to play on Titor's weak points and craving for scientific knowledge that he could probably get Titor to be tempered pretty easily. The only thing that would not work so well with Ramuh is that he is primarily in the Shroud, where Titor is rarely. Also Titor really does not care much about the forest or nature, but he does not disrespect it. Titor's home is really Thanalan/the desert.
  14. Yay I got the house I wanted at least. Plot 14, 8th ward of the Goblet. Going to run some RP events out of it in the near future! Pretty excited. But it is pretty terrible that I had to wake up early, mash to get into the server, then book it to the plot I wanted. There are some people who have not even read the patch notes yet let alone had a chance to get a house I really hope they revisit it nonetheless. I would not mind a refund on my house if they changed it to a more sane reasoning.
  15. May I have a link, please? http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/forums/1018-%E3%83%8F%E3%82%A6%E3%82%B8%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B0 is the main Housing forum. I'ma test that link and if it doesn't work, try a tinyurl since it doesn't appear okay with the Japanese characters. Edit: yay it works. The thread in question is something like 33 pages long. I'm only getting bits and pieces, but I found it interesting that they appear to be asking that the personal housing be removed before the patch goes live, even if it means delaying the patch. You know you dun messed up when you upset the JP player base
  16. Zodiac glass (not glasses) is an item used in the next relic stage it seems, not another pair of glasses, unfortunately. But omg more pince-nezes. PLEASE BE DYABLE ALL ABOUT HOUSING WILL BE FORGIVEN SE TnT
  17. If you still want one I can put ya down and start it tomorrow. :3 Yes that would be awesome thank you so much
  18. Aw I wanted a poster commission but I only get on the RPC at night :L
  19. This sounds fun, could I have the last slot if it is still open?
  20. Yes I will take one of everything hahahahaha Will watch this thread for updates. Enjoy your vacation!
  21. Yeah, I would commission you when you open again.
  22. We should! That sounds awesome, since Titor is basically associated with aetheric technology through aetheric geometries. We could probably talk about it more when I am running on more than 3 hours of sleep. @Unnamed Mercenary That would be neat too, Titor has been wanting to talk to some Garleans that may be willing to help him reverse engineer some allagan technology for medical usage, since he knows they are good at that kind of stuff. However, while not Garlean, Titor has a pretty firm grasp on how to reverse engineer or otherwise use the aether to its fullest technological potential for the times.
