I love how the hair went in this shot

What would be your characters Pokemon team, were they in the pokemon world? Choose six pokemon, legendaries and shinies are fine, this is just for fun (Though you can choose to omit them should you choose ) however please avoid fakemon or glitch pokemon. Optionally you can describe why they would choose such pokemon, and what pokemon would be their main 'companion', what moves they would have, what style of trainer your character would be, pokemon nicknames, etc. You can also make a trainer card if you want! Titor's team would be as follows, mostly metal/electric: Porygon: Titor's main pokemon companion, nicknamed Bit. This porygon would have liked been modified or engineered from Titor, who would likely be a programmer researching synthetic pokemon. While the base code would be from a normal porygon, Titor would augment and make minor tweaks on Bit. However, he always treats Bit kindly, and often keeps it out of the pokeball, creating a friend and companion. Klinklang: Found as a Klink and initially mistaken as another part for his engineering, Titor and the Klink quickly warmed up to each other. Mareep: Titor would have searched Mareep out to capture. While being an adorable electric sheep, it also provides means of electricity on the fly for a variety of experiments if needed. Skarmory: Because everyone needs a pokemon that can fly. Also, metal. Rotom: Likely caused one of Titor's experiments to go wrong while being mischievous, caught and eventually stopped being so evil towards Titor and his experiments (though still kind of iffy, think Ash's charizard kind of behaviour) Magneton: Caught in the wild, and seems to have a strange fascination with Titor's Klinklang. Titor's style of training would be mostly as pokemon companions and assistants towards his experiments. Titor is a scientist, and would be even in the Pokemon world, so would be less interested in training/showing/breeding, and moreso into researching and humanely augmenting them or bringing out the most of their skills. As such, he would not nickname most of his pokemon, only Bit.

Probably a swallow-tail kite. The colour scheme matches up, and there is a bit more symbolism behind it. They have weird tails that make them appear like they /should not/ be able to fly. Yet they do. And it works. (Also this probably has nothing to do with these birds being my favourite animal, nope) Also, heh, Prova, I actually always thought that Titor was Absol-ish too. I actually thought "Man if pokemon were allowed I would so put Absol" before I even read the thread.

Why are most people disregarding my aetheric solution? Aether is 'natural'. In fact it is what comprises most of life and the elementals in the shroud or whatnot. There is nothing more "natural" than aether. I am sure any street-vendor would sell a potion of infertility, or be able to cast a spell on it. It would be so much simpler and more effective than using plants or herbs.

In a world of magic an alchemy I could near guarantee that a spell/geometry/potion would exist for infertility.

I would like to write an original script.

ello \o I have been wanting to make a web tool for FFXIV, one where you enter in the contents of your inventory and click a button, then the website will return a list of all of the items that you can craft with the items currently in your inventory (And items that you are 1 item away from making, possibly) I can do all of the backend for it, however I am not very good with UI and frontend design. Would anyone be interested in collaborating with me for this project? If I can find someone interested, I will write out the backend first and then explain to you the components needed from the frontend. The frontend would likely be in PHP/JS so that we could collaborate better, as I am not very good at Ruby (But if you would feel comfortable going about it 100% in Ruby maybe that would be ok) Let me know if you are interested and we can discuss things further!

This is why I love PvP. If one person messes up you can still fairly well carry them to victory. PvE, one person messes up and wipe. (I will never understand how most PvE mechanics are so hard for people, and no, not just 'lag' problems)

Welcome to the server, the game, and the RPC! I am glad that you are having such a great experience so far! The inn in Ul'dah is called the Quicksand, and is usually for casual walk-up rp. More organized RP is usually coordinated on here, through linkshells, or within Free Companies (which are like WoW guilds) If you need any help getting started with the game, feel free to ask me here! I know the free trial is not able to send private message in game, but I would be glad to give you my skype if you wanted to ask me questions on there, just let me know! I can help you with most aspects of the game and enjoy helping new people ^.^

Hah, with that said, I do run an all-healer linkshell, the Eorzean Medical Society. I can ask in the linkshell if anyone would be interested, or you could post on that thread to see if anyone would be interested in partnering up. It is healers and healer-enthusiasts (learning, apprentice, or whatnot). If you want I can invite you in for a while (or to stay) and you could try to find someone!

HEALERS ARE NOT SIDE-KICKS Sincerely, A healer.

Hm hm hm now I want a sig and avatar too

But if a WHM even an mind-geared DoW or BLM class casts it, it will come off actually pretty good.
-
If you are going by gameplay, the fact that physick is cross-classable and can be cast by my dagger wielding rogue kind of hints that you can indeed cast memorized geometries without a book.
-
I had considered using a grimoire more as 'tracing' a geometry, where the aether that you channel into the book will be drawn to the conductive ink on the pages and it kind of template-forms the shape you are going for. Free-drawing is more like drawing the shape in the air without 'tracing' the geometry you wrote around before. Thus those who can free-draw must either have the geometries memorized perfectly or know exactly how to construct new geometries they want to use. Using a grimoire as a focus is just making sure that you draw the geometry perfect. Every line will be as perfect as it is drawn in the grimoire, every aspect will be in place. This is why I had thought that free-drawing is possible (just like how some artists are able to draw without looking at a reference image or pose) but is very tricky and missing one part or drawing a line crooked could result in either a nonfunctioning geometry, a sub-par geometry, or a completely different geometry all together (possibly dangerous!) which is why only the most skilled or mathematically adept geometry users would attempt to free-draw.

Part-Garleans - Children of Eorzean and Garlean Parents
Titor replied to SM Nick's topic in RP Discussion
If a lala and a roe can have a child I would think a Garlean and an Eorzean can. I am strongly considering Titor being either 1/2 or 1/4 Garlean by blood, that his family would have been exiled due to their religious beliefs/fanaticism. However, Titor would not ICly know if he is or not (at least not right now). The way I would play it, if I do have this happen, already kind of fits into Titor's character. He has a STRONG knack for math and science, and he does use Aether. While he comes off as skilled at using the aether, the truth is he has a really really small aether supply but optimizes the crap out of it. He basically stretches every last bit he has thin, using every bit in the most optimal manner. He actually prefers technology over magic and aether, but who would opt to manually heal over magically heal, if given the choice? So he uses what he can with his small amount of aether. -
Ah the line "if he doesn't the reaction will be severe and very real (ic and ooc)." Kind of sounded like an OOC threat to me, sorry.
-
If someone picks a fight with Otto ICly and you harass/get people to harass the player OOCly that is kind of a terrible thing to do.

The one that belongs to the arcanist in MD runs around on its own, sniffs the air, etc, all while its master is calling for it. Since it is disobeying the arcanist's orders, it makes sense to me that they are an intelligent entity (to some extent, like an animal) and does not HAVE to follow its master's orders.

I love the idea that it is like aetheric ASM, that was kind of the idea that I was going with but like conceptualizing it like that never hit me. Also using circuit diagrams, yes. Maybe a combination of the two? The circuit elements are more like the internals, and the jagged/curved is more like the overall shape of the geometry. I have my degree in EECS so all of this is supppeerrr interesting to me. And exactly what I was going for. So I am glad that a lot of people have the same idea for it! As for summoning/life, I was thinking more this was drawing up an actual entity out of the aetherflow (like how summoners pull on the primal's energy, they are not re-engineering the primal's life). So like, in the Aetherflow there are carbuncles, or one giant carbuncle that you pill bits and pieces from, and so when you summon them it is more like a familiar. The arcanist in MD seems to treat their carbuncle like a pet, instead of like a master/slave kind of relationship, so I think that arcanists with carbuncles would keep them more like friends or pets. They are not drawing up the life itself and bringing forth a new entity (which is why all carbuncles look similar and stuff, and there are not people who have like dragon fish godlike summons that they designed and created themselves). So along that lines I was thinking of summoning not as geometries but as a kind of pet/familiar relationship. Summoning a carbuncle (since it is a low level skill in game and a lot of arcanists are shown with them) seems to be a pretty basic move for an arcanist if they want one, so I doubt it is anything complex or hard like engineering the carbuncle's whole life and form.

Only in Death Does Duty End [OOC Welcome, Multi-part]
Titor replied to Titor's topic in Town Square (IC)
Updated part 5 o/ -
I use the Flames horse IC. I just play it off as Titor got a reward from the Flames for sticking around and doing a general good job, so it is kind of like a benefit. No one has ever had issue with it. Also you missed the chance to put "Neigh!" For no and use the pun.

More hilarious petrified pictures. Always catches me at the wrong time.
