((Not going to lie, the idea of doing it here was heavily inspired by Jail Talk, but due to the nature of this guy's confinement I'm making it a unique thread)) ((What's known by all: Shasharaji Rururaji was a pretty well to do Ul'dahn merchant, until his mine dried up. His family is starting to lose their fortune, but not too fast. "Think bankrupt millionaire type deal" He's been arrested and placed in a solitary cell away from other inmates and denyed all visitation without prior approval from watch captain, who's very unlikely to give it to anyone not in a official capacity.)) ((Less known but those with connections or anyone associated with Flames/Blades would know. Shasharaji is arrested due to his connection with the smuggling operation bringing Garlean 3rd eyes into the city, who his connections are is still completely unknown as they've been waiting with someone with more rank to conduct the formal interrogation. At least on attempt on his life has already been thwarted (hence the solitary confinement))) The lalafell continues to pace, back and forth from cell wall and back, hands behind his back and a thousand yard stare going out. "It wasn't supposed to be like this..." You'd hear him mutter every now and then. His eyes are drooping, if he's gotten any sleep since his confinement it hasn't been restful. He walks up the bars of his cell and looks out, having long given up on any hope of calling a guard down to argue his case, he just looks out before continuing his pacing. "They won't execute me for this. No no no, I didn't know what was in the crate." He pauses his pacing before shaking his head. "No, they'll know that's false immediately, but its Garleans right? No love lost there?" He continues pacing while having this debate with himself.

The main flesh of the story is now underway, I posted an article into the Tonberry's Lantern, forgive my poor writing its harder to write from a reporter's point of view than I though.

An abandoned shipment was found in the Burning Wall today by local fishermen, who claim to have heard sounds of a fight. What little hadn't been destroyed was brought to Highbridge for further examination. The goods themselves while questionable in nature, are rather unremarkable save one. Someone is trafficking Garlean Eyes into Ul'dah, and while authorities refuse to comment on the situation this source has found that a Shasharaji Ruruaj has been taken in for questioning. A merchant who's fortunes fell quickly with the failures of his mines we once again see the story of desperate times, calling for desperate measure.

Please whisper me in game for details, but looking for some mercenaries for a job for the next few hours. Expect combat, job is not to kill. Oswain Gerralt is the name.

Good news everyone, scene 1 starts tomorrow. I'll be creating another thread in a different group to detail the scenes as they happen.

This right here is helpful. so At minimum we can assume 16. And as far as the pheremones go for Miqo, that's part of what makes this question important. Because that implies a focus on physical maturity rather than age. Soo what if someone matures fast for their age? We see it happen in the real world, so would that be overlooked or get the "yeah man I know, but you can't touch that." reaction? Also as far as Lalafell go, remember you may consider it weird, but to another lalafell that could look tasty. Now does anyone know of anything about age gaps effecting relationships?

Ok,so before I get to the question proper, please read this. This is NOT meant to be a discussion on the ethical nature of relationships between different ages, we all know what's right and wrong in the real world, and its definitely safe to implement those values into Eorzea. Thank you. That being said, I'm curious what the role age would play in Eorzea as far relationships (sexual or otherwise) (for the sake of discussion we'll use the human aging convention). We can look at history and get a huge amount of diversity on the subject. On the first part, you have age of consent. The only in game reference I could find to it was from "all about the haft" where he rescues the miqo girls from sex slavery, but pushes them away because they are too young for the flames. Now, since they were being sold into sex slavery, that tells me that they were at least of an age that it wouldn't be unheard of to be attracted to, but not necessarily considered appropriate since they were far enough from being adults that the Flames wouldnt' take them. Problem is that age has a lot of variance as well, from 13-19 (Because too young for the military does not necessarily mean too young for adulthood). Then you look at Longhaft himself. He was in the mission that rescued them, which tells us he was an adult, and far enough to be trusted with this type of mission, which tells me he was around 26 at the youngest. That a pretty wide age gap already, now if we assume the age of getting into the military and getting to that post is 21, that would put Longhaft anywhere between 28 and 34. His relationship with them is not being hidden in the slightest so its safe to assume its considered alright. So to the direct questions 1) What do you think the accepted age for starting sexual activity is in Eorzea? 2) Do you think this is mandated by any kind of law? 3) How large of a role do you think an age gap plays between two people together? Any more thoughts on the subject or facts I missed are greatly appreciated.

Just to get some opinions out here, How do you guys feel about people using their starting race attire as their RP gear. I mean, its supposed to be relatively normal gear for adventurer's of that race, but I never see it happen.

I'm a huge fan of pulling strings behind the scene but most of my actual characters are goofs. I run around a lot doing OoC stuff (like fighting Ifrit Hm 37 times in one day trying to get knives I'll never use ICly) but will rarely back down if approached ICly, even have a character concept that can justify doing about anything, anywhere. Views on RP combat and injuries: If its a random walk up combat, short and sweet usually ending in a draw. If we want to determine an actual winner then I like to use dice rolls, with a 3rd party giving modifiers due to detail in post. As far as injuries go, if it happens by the dice, can't complain. But I prefer if we agree on it beforehand. Views on IC romance: OoCly, good luck, built a young, naïve, workaholic. But if you really want to try, I won't stop you. Its a side of her I haven't fully fleshed out yet, but its getting there. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Her family is actually the first thing I wrote, pretty fun honestly. But its all adopted so it could fun if you want to approach the biological side of it. As for more friends, I could always use more friends, and am not afraid to ask you your life story if you let me. Views on lore: No one likes a lore Nazi, and quite frankly I've got enough going on in my head where I'm consistently forgetting some of the details, but don't go too far. (being the actual Azure Dragoon for example) At the same time I don't mind being corrected if I screw up. Been a DM for about 8 years so I've learned to role with it. (response to above post) That's something I definitely want to touch on later. If I came up with an answer now it would be too easy to ruin it. Also if we get enough people involved, then it might even be multiple things, depending on who's collecting them. I've got a few ideas for my NPC's though, taking stock of participation first.

That's the point right there. Going to be starting the catalyst event soon, but wanted to throw up this thread to get the info out to more people. As I'm sure you can assume, this is hopefully (and ICly should) cause more than a few ripples.

In an effort to get more storylines going that include FC interactions, and all that good stuff, going to be starting up a storyline here soon. The hope is that this will also serve as a prompt for various side storylines, and even include major interaction and even some conflict between various groups. So bare bones here's the premise Crate of questionable goods gets stopped, morally grey area because the action that goes into gathering them is promoted, but gathering them is rather disgusting. Completely unsure why they're being gathered (that'll be in the main story for it) Side stories from it (that will of course be the main story for those involved, and this won't cover all of them.) -> Gathering more of them for profit -> Stopping whoever's gathering them for most likely moral reasons -> Investigation on who's financing their purchase, and why -> Possible political about whether or not its even illegal, and work one way or another. -> Someday in the future if the over-arching plan doesn't get stopped, stopping that. This definitely doesn't cover all of them, but these would be easy to break out stories, hoping for a bigger deal What I would like for roleplayers -> Merchants, for both side of the moral stance of this. Not too many though, as its not an easy thing to gather. -> Morally questionable mercenaries -> Law enforcing figures, for both sides of the moral stance. -> Undercover Garleans or Garlean sympathizers. -> Anyone else who wants to be involved I'm a firm believer of players getting the most enjoyment from a story when they OoCly know as little as needed, and learn as they go so if you want to know more please message me as I'm not 100 percent how to do the spoiler hiding thing. General Power level will be up to the actual players to figure out which is another reason I'm hoping to get more than a few people involved.

To be even remotely interested in someone. Seriously its a part of her character I put off making just by saying she's oblivious to the point where she doesn't notice others intent, and doesn't feel attracted to anyone else. A random RP that didn't last long (I don't think it went where he wanted fast enough, but it ended on a good note) forced me too however.
