ICly, Melody wants to finally get the Midnight Moogle open and go on an excursion to the Wanderer's Palace with Professor Jigumundo and company. OOCly, I want to finally finish Sastra's and U'roh's commissions. I'M WORKIN ON THEM RIGHT MEOW GUYS, I SWEARS! :frustrated:

Ran into this smooth-talker outside the Maurader's Guild last night.

I'd have to talk it over with my co-owner first, but we have a bar and restaurant in the works called The Midnight Moogle. It's got plenty of space for this kind of thing, and it could be a lot of fun to host something like this as like a pre-opening / grand opening event. Also, I think our barkeep would love to be a part of this if a bunch of drunk highlanders will be participating. *smiles mischeviously* :moogle:

Thank you all for so much input! I feel like the main point being made (having an over-arching goal) should have been blatantly obvious. Guess I was really over-thinking things. :blush: You've all been a great help!

Here's something I've been wondering about for quite a while now. I've been lurking around here for a few months and I'm always seeing people mention their characters going through plot lines and what not. My question (or questions) to the community is, how do you guys come up with plot lines for your own characters? Where do you start? Do you have any strategies? Are your characters built with a ready-to-go story idea? I want to start coming up with things to do with Melody, but I'm having a very hard time figuring out where to start. :? *sounds the noobie alarm* (If there's already been a thread about this...I'm sorry!)

Melody's would look like: -New notebooks (she fills them up quick) -Colored writing inks (for color coding!) -Alchemical research books -Cute new clothes

Just for funsies, here is something I just finished for a friend's birthday. Not FFXIV related, it's based on something that happened in our tabletop RP campaign.

Let's see... I haven't been able to do a whole lot with her yet, but Melody would probably be good and stay in her room until she's able to safely go out in public again. Her mother would always make her and Brio stay in bed whenever they fell ill at home. Since her parents ran a hostel, they didn't want their rambunctious little twins horsing around and infecting all the travelers. (Imagines teeny Lala tots running around doing cute things.... *squees*) Since Melody is now on her own, if the sickness were to progress too far she'd probably have Brio go fetch her medicine, or if she didn't trust him that day she'd go get it herself. Her down time would likely be spent all cuddled up reading, sleeping, and sipping nice warm broth. :love:

Yes, it would work something like this. I also have a money-raiser option where we'd have a theme park style "photo booth" for people to come in and pay for a non-candid photo that would be nicely edited later. That one is still a rough idea though. Thank you for your input! :moogle:

Hello everyone! I'll get right to it. My free company is wanting to RP as a sort of bar and grill. We have plans in the works for a couple things, but I wanted to reach out to the community here and see if there was anything you all would like to see in that sort of setting. I know there are probably bunches of taverns and the like already, but we would like to see ours stand out in some way. The Midnight Moogle is going to serve both drinks and meals. I am working out details of having either a Ladies' Night or Couple's Night (or both!). I've also been talking to one member about potentially acting as an in-house photographer. Aside from those few things, we are all looking for more suggestions. Has anyone been wanting something specific out of a place like this?

I usually park her on the railing outside the Quicksand by the fountain. She likes to read, and she draws a little bit in her journal when she wants to remember a nice moment. She's smart, but doesn't know a lot about how the world works or other people around her. She is a highly sarcastic smart-arse, but kind and mostly polite.
