I don't know who you are, but run, run OP, I made a post just like this and it went downhill fast.

White chocolate with assorted peoples' secrets on the wrapper. An ass kicking to anybody who complains.

Pardon the potentially unwarranted reply but if your name belongs to a previous FF character or hereby claim relation to canon characters, you're in for a bad time. I'm looking at all you damn Highwinds and Strifes. In regards to big fat grey area that is Midlander naming, I can deduce it to this: Mainland, non-immigrant midlander names are typically British, a name and the family trade, typically. But this is more often than not overlooked and honestly irrelevant. Doman Midlanders, from what I know from the NIN questline and some of the side characters in MSQ go by Japanese names followed by some baller honorific, I can't tell you if it's their title or last name, though (i.e Yugiri Mistwalker, Oboro Moonrise, Tsubame Sunrise, Karasu Redbeak). Highlanders are Germanic in nature, if this person sounds like they drink bourbon and have facial hair with properties similar to sandpaper or belong to a viking metal band (but not too viking, that's Sea Wolf turf), they're a good Highlander in terms of conventions. Here's your Brynhildas, Armsbreakers, Stonesunders, Sturmstagens, et cetera.

balmung Looking For Teenage Buddies!

Flynt is 2old4u but I felt like this would be him trying to interact with you youngsters -
The hooded figure met the flyer with an involuntarily ambiguous response, careful eyes peering through the vents to meet the image and accompanying text. "I know this woman, her appearance is unmistakable... Consider this accounted for, she will be seized upon contact. Walk in peace, stranger." He waved off the Elezen, the grey Hyena turning on a heel back into the Quicksand where he last saw the woman depicted on the poster, a hand fixed on a blade, itching for some action. He marched on, the impending closure of a man desperate for profits heralded by the clatter of spurs upon his boots. Click, clack, click...

Well, I've been horribly bored with roleplay recently, so I'm going to advertise my snobby little character here. As an entertainer, Flynt's essentially your court fool, offering sound advice in the form of hyperbole and assorted other over exaggerated methods. Morally grey, he goes where the entertainment is and would not conflict much in either a good or evil aligned affiliation. He needs no pay, though that doesn't factor employment out of the equation. What he's got: An approximate knowledge on just about anything, save for intricate specialties. (Aether, class-specific intricacies.) All the time in the world. Really, just call the guy and he'd be thrilled to know you need him. An assortment of means to entertain, verbal comedy, slight of hand, and mild musical prowess. Has a secret hobby of tailoring fine clothes (Can be known through off-screen hearsay.) He loves to spar, but not all that good at it. What I'm looking for: No particular demographic. Any form of relations to expand my variety in RP partners, business, platonic, etc. I'm willing to join linkshells for FCs that offer 'honorary' positions. Everything you're going to want for detail about Flynt is in my signature, which links to his RPC wiki page, which I just updated to current events (As of 9/30/2015). Looking forward to meeting some new faces!

You're aware members of the RPC are a vast minority in comparison to players in game, right? You managed to get the interest of the minority without factoring the majority in which you're going to garner the most attention from with in game advertising, hearsay, and inter-FC/LS/Tell sharing. You just forgot to take a look at the bigger picture, is all. It happens, honestly not a big deal.

I was simply making my stake in the idea from face value, which I know for certain is also a shared opinion. I could get into the logic that an FC fund is literally just a fancier way of saying "Yes it's shared among individual people", but that would cause the thread to derail. I just implore you reconsider your method of marketing an event geared towards roleplayers who for damn sure don't want to pay 25k (which is actually quite a bit for new players who have not met endgame, even on 2.0 content). If I'm making a wrong assumption, correct me, I don't want to misinform anybody.

To be completely candid it sounds like a cash grab more than a community event, seeing how after the math is applied, the profits made toward staff compared to potential winnings, on top of entry fees, outweigh the incentive to want to participate. It's an alright concept, sure, but the price will no doubt be a deterrent in interest and participants, speaking from experience.

What Primal would you Character serve or work for?
ChewableMorphine replied to Asmodean's topic in Fun Prompts
I'd like to say Ravana, being the belligerent Flynt is, wagering favors (and likely gil) through rite of combat. Army of ant soldiers would be radical too, just chillin' and eating Nanka until you gotta go an start a military campaign... Man, I wanna be a Gnath. All glory to the Hive. -
Alright everybody, hold on to your Beetleborgs, pick up your Sailor Moon, bring out the Power Rangers and complain about your Madoka Magicas; your character is now transforming into their Sentai/Mahou Shojo/whatever. Post the music they transform to, what they transform into, and if you can; the transformation sequence itself. Gogogogogogogo! Flynt transforms into the Gilded Hyena: Luck Personified. tlDPHjmPJIQ Transformation right at 4:30 DcJHevjXntI The outcome:

The eye behind Flynt's patch is photophobic, meaning it's sensitive to light. He can see just fine without it, he'd rather just not deal with the discomfort.

What's Your Best Game Moment Ever?
ChewableMorphine replied to Dat Oni's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
Probably clearing the Chrysler Building in Parasite Eve or some other superdungeon in a JRPG. The Abyss in Wild ARMs 3 is a notable one I managed to clear. Uhhh, otherwise I guess completing a no alert, no kill run in MGS4. Though thats not all too hard now. -
Grand Tournament of the Fury [Idea tossing about]
ChewableMorphine replied to Draco Nobis's topic in Chronicled Connections
In my opinion, something this big shouldn't be weekly. It's already a struggle to manage resources in a short time frame like a week (trust me, I'd know). But I can see this being a huge one-timer, if not monthly occuring event. I just think you'll be deprived of winnings if you were to host it weekly. -
