  1. Weirdest dream...yeah I remember this one dream. Damn did it raise a few questions in my head. It had something to do with an old mmo..forgot what it was anyway it was something I played with my friends after class. So the dream goes like this. Me and like my 3 other friends were in this like dungeony place when all of the sudden some hugeass monster dog thing just leaps out of one of the cells and blindsides our tank. Like literally chewed her arm off and I was like oh shit oh shit oh shit then she just stares at it like it was nothing, uncaps a potion off her pouch and downs the concoction, throwing away the bottle. Then her arm just kind grows back. For the longest while I wondered if that was how it works in MMOs too. Lose a limb? No problem, store bought potion makes it all better. Like maybe eat a Zero Form Particle Beam be a smouldering and steaming hunk of flesh walking around popping lobahawks or flash or whatever all the while the healers and their curagas just knit the flesh or maybe even recreate them or something with their magics. Strange times that.
  2. Steel Wolf here and I guess everyone else who has been helping me out with clarifying War skills, thank you very much for you help. I think it'll be because of you guys that I run a lesser risk of being that tank. EDIT: Let's cover Inessa cuz she was missed, I guess. I like how she's got a mind for business and profit. At least the first time I spoke to her that was the case. I wouldn't doubt that her detective skills are great since I would assume she was charging OOC gil at that time. In any case, keep up the truth seeking detective Inessa o7. Damn was I fishing for compliments all this time...-hangsselfnotreally
  3. So it is an "Ohshitohshitohshit" button than a panic button or even something to help mitigate damage. I would guess that HG would have a lower CD than Holm's 3minute one if it could pass off as a Defensive CD? Or did the point fly over my head again?
  4. Well I guess I only ever use Holmgang because I wanna be Scorpion. I don't remember a single time where I've oh wait there was that one time I kinda used it to cheat death and then clutch kill the Cloud of Darkness....man that was a moment of pure panic where I popped everything even though everyone was saying drop it and restart. Popped a good chunk of my cool downs...Thrill of Battle and Bloodbath come to mind then Foresight before I began wailing on it with the BB combo praying to god almighty I finish this then popped my LB....I was rewarded with my WoD chest and it was a good day. And everyone dropped their pants. But that was the 2nd time I've had to use Holmgang....I think it was Holmgang... Anyway Holmgang
  5. Wow I feel like an idiot...I forgot Holmgang is my God Mode skill....
  6. So I guess keeping it on almost always is effective then. Oh yeah, Chris, on the subject of Holmgang I only every use when I remember it's there sitting on Kurt's actions list. I mean I like being scorpion but I've only done that once because I panicked and hit that instead of provoke once upon a time. One quick question, on the subject of Paladins, were to I be put on Emergency Tank duty, which would be more effective for DPS purposes RoH or RB? I mean on the one hand that's like 2GCDs before I attain like 30 points more potency versus one GCD for 30 points less. Say I'm saving on TP, I should probably just stick to RoH regardless right? One more thing is there like a cap for threat or can I throw as many OPs and Flashes, Steel Cyclones as I want and never have to worry about aggro every again?
  7. Melodia, now she seems like a cool person to sit down and chat with. Though I've only done it a few times, looking forward to more opportunities, maybe throw Kurt or one of my other characters her way and see what happens. Maybe one of these days I get to RP with her yeah?
  8. They're free, 'ya dork. And I've been trying to find you on my alt for so long! If you see T'kajik Yana on, you should add her. That's mainly because I've been on Nah Nahn Stahp....hahlp meee.... Speaking of, can you do one of Nah or Kurt...take your pick and if you have a free slot that is. You want references? Hopefully the wiki images should be enough
  9. RPing while leveling? I'll tell you now that's a hard path to walk on brother. I used to walk that path too...then I hit 50 after giving up. I think RPing while leveling is a nice idea if people are there to share in the adventure and development. Thankfully for you, Imma hunt you down and we're going to go on that grand adventure to 50 and beyond! That's if my timezone isn't being a butt.
  10. Now you may be wondering why I'm asking here and not on some other forums. I'm not 100% sure myself but I'm not about to go tackle Coil neither since I hear that's where the best of the best are and they expect you to be the best of the best too. I'll just be the WoD runner that I am yeah... Maybe cuz the time I first tasted endgame content left a bad taste in my mouth when everyone was il100something while I was a i48ish pleb tanking and losing aggro on fucking WP and don't wanna taste that again. Nah, I just want ask a few questions and run a diagnostic on my thought pattern whenever I'm tanking stuff on Kurt. I mean I got him to i105 and I feel great now that I don't get yelled 99% of the time(for losing aggro you nub) especially since they put back ilevel caps. Suppose I'm not the MT for any given run and delegated to OT. Wooh! -Should I have Defiance on or off? Thing is even if I'm not the MT in a run I still have Defiance on for the crit boost as well maintaining an orange aggro level just in case the MT dies so I know the Aggro can easily shift to me with just an overpower or so. Well you get the question, Defiance on or off? Crit boost or flat DPS? Also Unchained. -Let's say the MT is a PLD, am I doing it right by simply going Storm's Eye essentially 90% of the time and just keep refreshing Storm's Path(because I think the PLD needs more mitigation) and Fracture or should I just go Storm's Eye 100% of the time because the other two might just waste my TP anyway. -Should I be asking for goad or just auto-attack until my TP regenerates? -Berserk should be popped when exactly? I mean I pop it when I'm like stupidly low on TP but should I be popping it earlier? Suppose I am the MT because some genius thought it would be smart to put a i105 nub as MT. -Overpower>Flash>Overpower>Flash>Overpower>Flash>Overpower after I do a Tomahawk to grab the mob that is and sometimes the mob after it. Thoughts? This is under the condition that Infuriate is on CD and I just used a Steel Cyclone prior to the encounter. Question is, am I overpowering too much or am I overpowering too little? -Popping CDs when I'm at like 50% HP or grabbing more than 1 mob group at a time? Or do I just hit those CDs every time they go off CD? -Provoke, do I lob a hawk at the enemy if he's distant or Holmgang his ass to me? On the one hand lobbing birds at it is practical, on the other being scorpion is Kool too. -Is it practical to slot in a Fracture in between my BB/SP combos just to boost DPS or should I keep my eyes on the prize and keep smacking the thing to keep aggro? -On the cross class front, Convalescence..do I even need it with all my lifesteal? Not that I have any other cross class to take. -Thrill of Battle, when's a good time to pop it? I usually do mine when I hit like 30%ish HP. -Berserk should be popped when exactly? I mean I pop it when I'm like stupidly low on TP but should I be popping it earlier?
  11. I haven't seen Madda at all yet but I'll do what I can to change that. Because like L'oreal....I should name a miqo'te that. Like L'oreal you're worth it, also you seem like a chill person.
  12. *Drum Roll* Time for my compliment before I pass out aaaannnddd of course it's lucky miss Cliodhna. So let's begin. Let's see. miss Cliodhna is a very patient and understanding individual as shown when I was trying to RP with her on Kurt but kept dcing every two seconds. She's also resourceful in that she suggested I use Nah as a stand in for Kurt seeing as she was the only one of my characters not trapped in Ul'dah with everyone else and completely horrible lag.
  13. DID SOMEONE SAY LOW LEVEL CONTENT? BECAUSE I CAN TANK THAT. I'LL ALSO THROWN IN COMPLETE DUNGEON RUNS TO MAKE MAXIMIZE YOUR EXP GAIN. Unless you want me to DPS I CAN DO THAT TOO. Anyway welcome to site there. Hope you make it to Balmung and if you do...poke me aight? Any one of the characters on my sig. Here's a little chat bar tip '/tell Kurt Steel Hey there, maybe you could help me with -insert what you want help with or even just ask for a conversation-'
  14. Well it'll continue until I can churn out something half as good as everyone else's too... buut I still have to work on Adeya's request and Cliodhna's too.....and anyone else really Hope I didn't disappoint you too hard EDIT: Hey does anyone know where I can find the levecounter for the DRW DoH class? Huehuehuehuehuehuehue. Also any and every bit of feedback would be nice!
  15. *So this is basically my second attempt at a journal like thing, which is basically Nah chiming in with her dad at Amariyousities! Also feel free to step in maybe talk to Nah or her dad, see her at work behind a counter, or maybe listen to how her dad feels about her recent escapades! Yes this works into her canon and I'll just signify whether or not she's in or out!* "Dad?" Nah's voice echoed back to her. In contrast to the bustling Gridanian avenues, the interior of Amariyousities! was strangely calm and quiet. Her father was probably either at the back taking inventory or out on an errand seeing as his apron wasn't where he usually hangs it and he only ever does hang it when he's done working for the day and closing up the shop. She set her pack leaning against the wall. It clang and cluttered as it was set down on the ground. It was sizable, nondescript backpack easily a third of her size. In it was her armor and her shield as well as the few odds and ends she'd picked up on her journey. She was dressed in signature black and white tabard, signature since it looked very new and pristine, a contrast to its wearer whose face had a layer of dirt and grime. She still wore her sword on her hip though. Nah made her way pasts the rows and columns of shelves holding all manner of items from baskets of herbs, bottled concoctions, wooden figurines, all manner of baubles. She made her way to the back, hoping her dad was there. As she reached the end of the shelves she turned right, where the stock room was instead of left which was a staircase that led to their house in question on the second floor of the shop. She didn't need to enter the little alley that was stacked and stocked with boxes to know that her father wasn't there. She was just about to step out when her ears perked up and her tail began wagging like a puppy's when she heard a very familiar voice. "Hello? Is there someone in here? How may I help you?" Nah bolted down the aisles and made a beeline straight for the tense looking miqo'te male standing by the door, holding a rolling pin like a bludgeon. R'vehn dropped his guard as the figure rushed him, he was nearly about to clobber it when he saw a flash of violet in the intruder's eyes. There was only one person he knew who had violet eyes and he was thankfully he didn't have to bludgeon his own daughter. He had barely a second to brace himself as his daughter barreled into him and wrapped her arms around him. He responded in kind. "So how's my little girl?" Nah continued holding onto her father. It had been a decent while since she was sent to Ul'dah after all. A week to be precise but she missed him a lot. "Well I've been doing fine, dad." "The truth now, little lady." "I can't bring myself to do what mom wants me to do." R'vehn breathed a sigh of relief as he heard that his own daughter failed so much at being an antagonistic entity. He held her closer and ran his hand through her hair like he used to when she was younger and weigh considerably less than she did now. "You don't have to do it, Nah. You know you don't." "But I have to, maybe this might stop mom from always scowling away her every waking moments." "You know your mother was born with scowl on her face right?" "But I want to get rid of it. I think she'd be lovelier without it." "Aye. How could I be blessed with such a kind-hearted daughter?" "Because you raised me, dad." "I know, I'm just that good as a parent. So what brings you back to this part of the Shroud." "Can't I see my dad when I want to?" "Of course, I like that you still visit your old man but you were just here less than a week ago." "Weeeellllll..." "Well?" R'vehn wasn't sure whether he'd frown or keep his smile when she drew out that 'well.' He braced himself for the news that he'd be a grandfather at forty. Nah broke the hug and stood a few steps away from him. He in turn tried to look as stern as possible and crossed his arms to emphasize the effect. Though he would be overjoyed to know that he might actually have a grand kitten soon. Which wasn't the case as Nah finally responded. "Well, you know some people in the Woodwailers right? Think you could ask them if they confiscated a satchel, it's umm as big as small book and brown. It belonged to that guy who lives in the cave by Lifemend Stump." R'vehn knitted his brows at her request. A strange one to be sure. "Alright but why?" "Well I'm just helping him and I think he'd like his satchel back." "I won't question any further, just...just watch yourself around him." "Oh please, he's harmless and if he does something..." Nah's hand that rested on the handle of her sword, gripped the handle and thrust it out of its holster. She began making a few light slashes in the space behind her as she turned around while she drew the blade. "Alright, little swashbuckler, you've proven you can swing a sword but still be careful. There are some things a sword cannot solve. And so many that sword would just make worse. If you're willing, man the shop for me and I'll go see my Woodwailer friends. One of them should know about this...satchel of yours." Nah nodded to her father as he nodded back and then pulled the apron over his head and handed it over to her. She waved goodbye as he left the building again, nearly knocking her pack over. She quickly rushed over to the entrance and tried to haul the bag away so no one would trip over it or something. Now...now she just needed to wait for a customer. Her smile still on her face as she took her place behind the counter and shifted her attention toward the door.
  16. Because the internet died for a while.... Also Edvyn...I'm sorry..It was a full body and I think I still have it but...well let's not disappoint you any more yeah?
  17. Cliodhna has a such an entertaining cast of characters. Just met Steiner and I was laughing my ass off at that little robot's self confidence. I do so love bloating the egos of those kinds of characters and see what happens. Anyway looking forward to RPing with her again!
  18. Eleni takes the ninjaing like a champ. Also everytime I talk to her I have a big grin on my face...She's the alpha smile and makes everyone smile! *nodnod* EDIT: Val rocks that hairstyle and get up like a rockstar, frikking rocks! Pretty sure Val is a rockstar too. Wonder if I'll ever get to see him in game. Also that Turks idea is a Capital Dapper one! EDIT EDIT: Y'lani makes such nice drawings I wanna be half as good as she is! Also Y'lani the character was entertaining to RP with even though it was just...twice. I liked how Kurt and her were lost in translation and then inadvertently threw insults at each other, then the second time they met they were hurling apologies at each other.

  20. I like how Clio always has a compliment up her sleeve for anyone and they are always so dapper too. I have to get on her level....soooooon.
  21. Inessa is cool person too OOCly. Granted I've only ever talked to her OOCly twice. Once when Kurt was dirt poor(kinda still is) and another time when Kurt was Kat and was basically used by Inessa as a pre-Fisticuffs kicking bag....good times that. Learned a bit about doing combat rp from her and she seems like a patient person. I still can't do combat rp worth a damn but thanks to her I'm not bat level blind about it.
  22. Nako is very dedicated individual. Have you seen the work he's put into the YTC and its people? Even if he does pass out in the middle of something, he's still nothing short of a good boss. You could even say his passing out is testament to his devotion to the Consortium!
  23. I like how sharp miss Cliodhna's eyes are and how much attention she pays to little details. That's probably part of what makes her the best engineering senpai!
  24. Hmm should be easy enough to BS an excuse. I mean he may not be head of security for the Consortium but knowing who lives a few doors down and what they do could be helpful.
