Ehh might as well. I'm not even sure if I did this right but oh well. 64PxbJWdLk8 Reward: Soldieries - 15, Poetics - 8 Description: "The Murderer Lives and Dies" So just who is Ramona Spencer? Well as far as you know, she's just a wandering Thaumaturge, one of the millions. Nothing remarkable save for a fractured memory. Ah but that's a just a pseudonym that was given to her after she had woken up from her coma. But what if, just say what if, she hadn't botched that meteor spell her mysterious soulstone had recommended she do? What if she never slipped into a coma? Let me tell you a story. One that isn't about her, but at same time about her. Let me tell you the story of Fiona Reeve, a survivor of her massacre and eight unassuming adventurers who brought low the threat that had turned Upper La Noscea into a barren wasteland. Ah but this is simply fiction. Let not this story cloud your perspective of her when you meet her. There are some things in this story she does not know yet. Information: Location: Bronze Lake Ruins, Upper La Noscea/Time Limit: 60 minutes Requirements: Eight Players (2 tanks, 2 Healers, 4 DPS) *The above composition requirement is not imposed upon preformed parties. Class: Disciples of War or Magic Level: 50 Avg. item level: 90 Phase 1 (100% to 70%) "I guess I could spare some time for you, here's to hoping you actually land a scratch yeah?" Fiona is in her Devastator Stance here which increases her damage output by 10% and has access to two skills on top of her basic magic missile auto-attack, Warped Fire and Warped Ice. She'll end the phase with an arena wide stun followed by casting Pride Manifested. Warped Fire is an line AoE that deals heavy damage to anyone caught in the blast as well as inflict a 5 second burn. The range extends from to the end of the arena. Warped Ice randomly targets Tanks or Healers and deals medium damage and inflicts a 5 second freeze. Pride Manifested is an aoe that eats half the arena and deals heavy damage to anyone caught in the blast as well as decreasing damage dealt for 10 seconds. She starts to cast 'Bulwark Stance' which gives people a 3 second breather to recover from Pride Manifested. Which leads us to.... Phase 2 (70% to 45%) *laughs* "So you actually know how to move around hmm? C'mon then, hit me with your best shot." Fiona is in her Bulwark Stance which decreases damage she receives by 30%. She's traded in her staff for a conjured Sword and Shield. She loses Warped Fire and Warped Ice in exchange for Breaker, Cull the weak, Aether Leech and Self-Preservation. Normal fight too, lots of damage mitigation and interrupts and steals, basically the annoying stage. Her auto-attacks are your vanilla sword slashes. She'll end the phase by using Redemption Lost. Breaker is a randomly triggered, 3 second State wherein she warps to the center of the arena and openly interrupts the players, summoning multiple copies of herself if she has to respond to multiple things at once. Anyone doing anything or in the middle of anything will be penalized with a 3 second stun by way of in your face shield bash out of nowhere. You were still casting Cure? Too bad, shield in your face. The upside is once she's out of this state you'll have at least 15 seconds before she starts doing it again. Cull the weak does exactly as it sounds, targets the party member with the lowest health and then sticks to them like glue for the next 10 seconds doing increased damage against them for the duration. Aether Leech is specifically made for casters. She'll target all of you mages and start leeching your MP for the next 5 seconds. Drain your MP fast because at the end of those 5 seconds she'll detonate the stolen MP and deal arena-wide damage. Also in this state she steals back 100% of the damage she deals to you as HP. Self-preservation activates at the 50% HP mark. In this state she'll take half 60% less damage and start regenerating HP. She can't do anything else. This is your mandatory DPS check. It ends when she's regenerated up to the 60% HP mark or she takes a certain amount of damage. In the first case, she'll use Self-Preservation again when she reaches the 50% Mark. In the second case, she won't use it any more and will be stunned for the next 5 seconds. If you keep wiping to this, it's okay, just popped the stored LB when she uses this. Redemption Lost is basically her Holmgang/Hallowed Ground, she'll be invincible but will do half damage in her attacks. Adds labelled 'Guilt' and 'Innocence' will spawn and when you kill them you gain a stack that corresponds to them, killing 'Guilt' will give you 'Guilt' Innocence to Innocence. Guilt increases damage received, Innocence decreases damage dealt. You can only carry one stack and your next attack on her will transfer the stack to her. The goal is to give her 8 stacks of either Guilt or Innocence. Which influences the next phase depending on which stack is used against her. Take note that if you place a guilt stack on her then you place an innocence stack, the existing guilt stack is removed and vice versa. Once you get the 8 stacks on her the next phase begins. Phase 3 (45% to 0%) "Tch. Now that actually hurt. I think it's time I stop playing around." - 8 Innocence Stack, Clear Conscience Stance, 10% less damage received, access to Isolation. "You actually know how to hit hard then? Except I hit harder, just ask the corpses." - 8 Guilt Stack, Clouded Conscience Stance, less casting time, 5% more damage dealt, access to Revelation. She doesn't walk or run around the arena, she'll warp randomly between people instead and attack them for random periods of time anywhere between at least 5 seconds to 10 seconds at most. She'll have access to her all her previous skills except for Pride Manifested, Redemption Lost and Self-Preservation. As well as one of the two skills listed above. Isolation marks a random party member and then warps her and the target to the center of the arena. The rest of the party is knocked to the edges of the arena and stunned for 3 seconds. The marked party member is then bound for 5 seconds and inflicted with a 20 second debuff, wherein damage they deal and the health they heal decreases as their HP decreases as well as be dealt with heavy damage, as reference a flat i90 BLM will walk away from this with give or take 5% HP left from 100%. Manawall, Holmgang, whatever is ignored by the attack. Revelation is an arena wide heavy/slow that comes with a 20 second debuff that decreases max HP by 10% and increases damage taken by 10% and a separate 5 second DoT doing a fixed 400 damage per tick. Another DPS check is at the 20% thresh hold. She will begin channeling Identity Fiona which decreases any damage received by 15% and as well as decreases's the party's damage by 15% as well as ensures invincibility for her at 5% HP. Three stationary and harmless adds with large HP pools will spawn, killing one will extend the casting time of Identity Fiona and shave off 5% of the debuff to the party and the buff to Fiona, killing all three will change the spell from Identity Fiona to Identity Ramona. Identity Fiona chains into Timeline Broken wherein she blinks to each party member individually and hits them for 99,999 damage ignoring every little mitigation, Manawall, Holmie, whatever. Identity Ramona is an instant cast that chains into Mended Sins an instant which deals 99,999 to herself. "Thanks for the diversion, love, I appreciated it...not really but I think you'll appreciate being my puppets like everyone else. Oh? Still standing up? Alright one more then, lovelies, I'm feeling generous." - Timeline Broken. (Party defeat) "You actually beat me? This is just too much. *laugh* Well then I don't think I can lift a hand to defend myself go head...run me through. Turn me into another number." - Timeline Broken. (Fiona defeat) *On the off chance someone actually successfully casts a DPS LB after she drops the invincibility that comes with Identity Fiona for Broken Timeline.* "She was me then? Damn. So umm that hurt, think you could help me up? No? Just gonna stand there looking shiny? Cool... No, no I mean if you still have to stand there and everything I can lie down here for a bit... It's not like you've got anything better to do and neither to do I. I mean the floor is kinda nice... Really I mean if you're gonna be like that then be like that a little longer yeah? You're not gonna help me up aren't you? *sigh* Fine. " -Mended Sins. Drops: 4 Star Ramona Spencer TT Card. Up 7. Down 7. Right 5. Left 1. 4 Star Fiona Reeve TT Card. Left 8. Right 8. Up 3. Down 1. Wind-up Ramona Spencer/Kurt Steel/Effie Valkaim/Keil Amalle/Nah Amariyo Minion Warped Aether Sword/Shield/Bow/Etcetcetc (i90)

You know sometimes I think Halatali HM is trolling me. On top of the 30minute queues to get in the damned place just so I can get a shot at the Darklight Boots of Casting on the first boss and also SBing the remainder of my i90 gear. It seems to like to drop the Darklight Breeches of Casting or the Fistfighter's Jackboots... every...damned...time. I'm racking up 30k worth in company seals from like...3k. I don't care about the seals, gimme the damned boots Halatali!

I like what Bri does with her characters if that one time I ran into her was any indication. Wherein Kurt was scratching behind the ears of her carby and she in turn felt it. Good times. EDIT: Aand of course my ass gets ninja'd so... Let's see.. Clio is by far the pioneer of dapper, we all know that, but she's also master at making babelanders, we all know that too, umm she's a sweet person, but we also know that. Clio is probably one of the most known people on this forum. /think /yes -
Banned for 2 days so he/she can go figure out those words and shit. Also because they can't figure out the words and shit.

If I can get the courage/confidence...or total lack of it, I'll try to add to this too.

Well I like it at least of course the fights seem simpler....or I could have just gotten used to it after beating DS DkS and DkSII. Oh yeah the backstep is your bestfriend in this game and if you didnt know catch the enemy mid attack with your gun and you stagger them for a couple of seconds. Though I still haven't figured out what other conditions need to be met for that since it does not work all the time just most of the time. And if you take damage you can lifesteal that all back by smacking your opponent...and as long as the orange bar is still there. Also the locations look pretty and dark and pretty dark and creepy as shit when you manage to start branching out of Central Yarnham. Did I mention some of the enenies look like the stuff of nightnares? And since you haven't played any souls game well let me tell you this...if it doesnt die in two hits back away and try again in the next opening. Do not be greedy on the offensive. Also backstep is your friend use it well and study the enemy animations and see what does what and where. But above all else be prepared to cry and die and rage a lot. Take a break if its getting too much and all. There is also a way to cheese the fight with two wolves on the bridge. Suppose you come in from the plaza thingy right. Run past em and keep your eyes to the left you'll see a small path that leads to a house. You'll know it's the path to the house because there's a torch guy standing by the entrance. Get in the house, kill the sword guy and the axe guy on the 2nd floor then the torch guy that follows you in. Now take your longest reaching melee weapon and smack those wolves that can't get in due to the doorframe being small. Easy 900ish echoes. Also you have like a 2 second window after every enemy combo or heavy attack where you do considerably more damage. Now to pass out.

Kurt would probably pick hmmm... I'm not really sure but Nako'li does everything so that's pretty much a given right there. The island could be ripe with raw materials that the YTC could use! For Ramona...hmm she doesn't have that many friends...or people she knows. Ququki if she's still around then. For Keil, it's a no brainer, his girlfriend duh. For Effie, it's also a no brainer, Ozy...if he even actually logs on. Finally Nah. Sweet innocent little Nah. Yeah she doesn't have much by way of friends neither. Theula'sae maybe?

I like how Melodia can still chat even if she's in the middle of something or other...most of the time that is. I wonder what else this multitasker can do. -

Meena here or Hotaru Gin seems like a helpful person. She once saw Nah's search comment and offered me as spot in her LS thing so I can get the ball rolling on her(Nah) villainy. -
Kurt and probably everyone he's fallen for. j0v-HFennIk Keil and V'ari assuming they live long enough for this to be valid. FaAM7GsBHug

I haven't met Makyn yet ICly...okay so maybe there was that one time when Nako passed out in a certain YTC night. Still he seems like a cool guy and he's also an 'amateur mercenary' which means he's got a lot of room to grow and improve and grow. Lotsa potential yeah? -
>.> <.< Omaigad soo goooodddd. Heh and I here I was tempted to go sing and pass that off as Kurt's voice...once...Anyway lots of props to your courage yeah and your talent soo good @u@

Nah Amariyo: "Th-theula'sae-sensei is in?! I-it's not like I learn from him or anything, geez.... where do I sign up?" I'd throw Nah at this if the time this is held agrees with me. Yeah but it looks mighty interestin.

-I don't regret it. -Sometimes I don't sleep just so I can catch this certain RP or RP event or something or I wake up stupidly early (-3 in the damn morning as the earliest to wake up, because timezones) to catch said RP.
-
There's that but I still think something's up when I'm going all WAR on Ramona in Brayflox and the game is taunting me with Battlemage drops...every...damn...time.
-
Well at least I'm not alone in this mindset. Hey let's bring Ramona through WoD...s'alright i guess I'm getting drops Effie, Keil or Kurt/Nah could use. Switch over to Nah, the Robe of casting drops twice...consecutively and the belt(which is the last thing Kurt needs) drops twice. Of course Nah could use it but I get annoyed since a 'what if' scenario comes in my head. Like what if I was playing Kurt then got the belt...then ditched the raid I could have completed the Demon Fending set. Still on the upside, weekly drop limit is gonna be dropped. Hue. But wait don't you feel like you deserve that Allagan Tomestone thingy after sitting through ST 8 times in a row but you always roll single digits anyway. I still think SE is developing a higher form of AI...one with a programmed Malice suite and a Self-awareness function.

A Survey on RP and PVE, as well as a discussion
Kurt S. replied to C'io Behkt's topic in RP Discussion
I tend to prefer a good mix of both, leaning on RP than PvE. My timezone is a big factor in that since I have entire later afternoons to late evenings to do PvE stuff meanwhile I only find RPers at ungodly hours of my time. I prioritize what I don't see most of the day. Also doing too much PvE content on one character really just makes me sick of their face. Which is why I have alts which is kind of a bad decision on my end. Doing the monumental task of bringing 5 people to Heavensward readiness and possibly be WoD geared with their Zeniths isn't the hard part. The hard part is trying to split my already small RPing window time across 5 characters. But that's beside the point. -
Banned for being too slow also because you can't decide which name you're using. Commit!

I feel blind for noticing this now but Kellach knows what's up with races and jobs. I personally find it entertaining when our tank is a lalafell....Warrior or Paladin... They should put up lalafell only skill that allows them to be ground targeted with an AoE splash, the damage of which scales relative to the thrower's size, with 'Added Effect: Increased Enmity.' <.< >.> Also that hair man, what do you use to maintain it? -

I don't know where I said that philosophy is a must. I just said it's important and I do it. Too often I've tried to interact with so--ohh haha they're afk, let's wait or even even hi the--hah they logged out. For the former case you've got people who don't log out like ever so waiting for that is futile. So let me make my words perfectly clear. This is something I do and I dont speak for anyone else. Given your summary and background segment I suggest you keep Delni. Those 'quests' you do is a fun concept to play around with really. It takes RP out into the world and doesnt let it stagnate to just a tavern rp, not that there's anything wrong with that. In fact if you're feeling adventurous you could use that 'quest' thing as an initial launch pad into something more. Say you need to go Bentbranch to pick something up. Buuut it didn't arrive from Quarrymill buut you actually need it now/dont have time to wait. So you go to Quarrymill. Aha Quarrymill! But oh noes the trade caravan from Ul'dah that stops here hasnt arrived at all yet which explains why your parcel hasnt made it to Bentbranch or something. So you've got your burly friend with a spear or something propose a jaunt to Camp Tranquil. Under the assumption they say yes you go camp tranquil and lo and behold the caravan is there stuck at Camp Tranquil so you go pick up the thing and go home. Or if you want to extend it have them find out that it hasnt arrived there yet but was last sighted to leave bridge. Not sure if there are bandit spawns there but there are a bunch of amal'jaa spawns that could make a nice life threatening encounter. Get that adrenaline pumping. Use those quests to chain into something that might take her to Ul'dah. Of course this is probably just a convoluted method and you're free to disregard it. If you're looking for someone to take you from Gridania to Uldah I have Nah Amariyo who can do just that since she tries to make the periodical walk or chocobo ride from Ul'dah to Gridania and back because she still visits daddy dearest running the family shop in Old Gridania. She's always eager to help out so we just need to make 1st contact. Barring that I have a dragoon I could throw your way too.
