I think you three made some very good points on the validity of such a transportation and the lore behind it, Taldic, Flynn, and Lucius. No one but the Scions and Ironworks would really know that there is a First to even go to, let alone a means of transportation for common folk. As Flynn mentioned the 'others came before you' quote would have to be the Scions already there, not just some random folk from the Source. I'm not sure how the Exarch did the transportation, but I believe it has to do with either the modifications of the Crystal Tower, or he's using some sort of magic similar to the pixies to make a link to the Source. Whatever the case, I agree that using such a reasoning to get RPers there would make the Exarch's sacrifices and attempts rather pointless. I do like Flynn's suggestion of just playing your character in an alternate universe type setting. New beginning, different choices along the way, see how your character could have turned out with a different environment. So I think that until we learn more about the story through future patches, that having a means to travel there has to be shelved. -

I have been thinking about this for some time before the expansion landed without a real good way to make it work. There is no way the Ironworks would let anyone take the WoL's device to duplicate without the risk of them not being able to return, and it sounded like the Exarch only left one device. The Exarch hasn't only summoned just the WoL, but would be hesitant in doing more due to spoiler-related stuff. Another way would be however the Ascians did it for the original Warriors of Darkness, but meddling with Ascians is a big no-no to most characters. Your faerie idea makes the most sense to me, honestly. They live to play with people, and what better way than to bring more into their world? How they do it is up in the air though since from the story, it sounded like they needed someone from the source to make a link (as well as a good reason for them letting you leave). -

Yes, going to having them consistently on the last thursday of every month from now on. So the next one will be 09/28, from 7pm - 9pm ET (switches to npc staff after that, but we will probably have a few hosts staying that wish to). -

Check out an article from The Crystal Chronicle (Edition #19) about one of our previous Tavern Events! http://news.thecrystalchronicle.com/z-editions/front-page-may-28th-2017/ (Screenies from previous tavern events) http://i.imgur.com/C13KGfK.png[/img] http://i.imgur.com/xUSObEF.png[/img] http://i.imgur.com/TFxRbii.png[/img] Going down a week from now, so come on over, stay a while, and listen to a few tales (and a drink or two!). -
http://i.imgur.com/uU5DmeT.png[/img] The Wandering Tonberry is opening its doors once again to the public! After some conflicting confrontations in the warfront and beasts that needed to be slain, The Wandering Tonberry is hosting it's monthly Tavern Night, Tall Tales edition! Our signatures drinks are being stocked up, our delectable delicacies being fine-tuned, and our staff willing and waiting to make your visit an enjoyable one. Like our previous gathering, we are opening the stage up for all participants that are wish to share a tale of their travels (or a wondrous tale that they just thought up!) Be one of the two tales that captivate the audience the most, and you will walk away with 100,000 gil and a round of applause! We also will still have "The Summoning" drinking challenge for any willing to test their luck with the full primal specialty drink selection! Get through all 8 drinks without passing out and the drinks are on the house, not to mention bragging rights that you took on all the primals singlehandedly! :tonberry: August 31st, 7PM EDT:tonberry: Goblet District, Ward 8, Plot 12 (OOC Stuff) Tavern hours will be from 7-9PM EDT, where most of our staff will be replaced with NPC staff. Feel free to RP it up afterwards though as people will still be around! Depending on amount of people wanting to share a tale, try to keep the story as short as it can be (15-30min). If too many people wish to share, will be a first come, first serve basis. "The Summoning" rules are as follows: Drink all 8 Primal drinks from the Specialty Drinks Menu in order, rolling after every drink. First roll has to beat 50, second roll has to beat 100, adding 50 all the way up to the 8th drink (having to beat a roll of 400). The numbers may seem low, but you have to try your luck at getting 8 consecutive high rolls!

I'm going to have to agree with what others have said about the FC page feeling a bit niche. Going to go over a few points from what I saw. I can understand a unique primal being summoned, but "coming into this world" seems off. It has to be based on certain circumstances that seem reasonable to lore. It's 'people' must have summoned him into the world, not him just 'coming' into the world on its own. It's people would had to have collected crystals or another means of power to summon it, and either enfuse the desires of the summoners into its persona, or having to have been an actual person beforehand. Shiva and Thordan(plus crew) don't follow this embodying, but they had the power as well as the prayers/desires of their followers (heretics and citizens of Ishgard respectively) in order to transform into primals. Shiva was able to do it without the powersource she used initially, but it was due to previous experience and wasn't nearly as powerful. The followers were always present so you would have to work in what the followers were doing before the summoning, where they gained the powersource for the summoning, and why the followers summoned this Kuji into the world in the first place. Also having the other nations 'find out' about this power rings very Naruto-ish to me with the tailed beasts being kept hidden inside a medium and the nations trying to control them whilst getting rid of the other jinchuriki (your difference being that it is hidden within crystals). I feel like most people aren't fans of that show so that might turn some potential recruits away... Also nations aren't seeking out primals, heck they are afraid of them. Only the Ascians desire to manipulate them for their own ends (and Garleans to an extent with Ultima Weapon), which you could totally tie that into this. Say that Ascians are seeking out and trying to control this primal rather than nations, and make a plot involving Ascians. Giving the followers special powers seems too much like powerplay to me. No primal has done that to my knowledge. You can't have the primals power be hidden within crystals, be untraceable, AND being able to bestow such powers on people that follow the primal. There has to be flaws or else it's hard to build RP off of a perfect system of protection and power. There has to be a connection between the primal and the follower for such a power to be maintained, and that connection should be able to be sensed by anyone that can sense aetherial signals. Maybe tone it down to being able to sense other followers and give some room to RP to develop all of your character's skills rather than it being bestowed on them. Also stating that it's based on Soul Society twice is a little repetitive. In addition, not everyone has seen that show so you should describe what that entails in terms of structure as well as purpose. Also writing your character's whole profile in a FC post seems really off, like I can understand putting a link to your RPC Wiki page, but a whole post just on your character? Big nono to me. Now I'm not saying to scrap the whole idea/concept, but some changes should be done to make it more appealing for newcomers. I think this concept can work and I hope it does for you and your members, just have to put some work into it. As for RP FC plots, you can do a myriad of things: 1. The power used to summon Kuji. What was it and does someone else try to use it? (villain plot) 2. Having Ascians trying to manipulate this primal (can have people Ascian-alligned outside the FC be a part of this too) 3. Looking for more followers that may have lost their way. 4. Kuji getting corrupted and having to restore it back to it's normal state. 5. Crystal(s) being stolen. There's quite alot that you can do and once you start to develop a story, people will be interested in it (especially if you do plots in public where passerbys can experience it firsthand). Good luck!
