These are all excellent points and opinions! I think my 2nd biggest thing is when they sell themselves as being helpful to new players, for example, running content with them, maybe helping to craft some better gear for you, etc. So then you join because hey, apart from having them.lend a helping hand, people like this are probably pretty nice. But you join and everything that they advertised was false. They are all busy doing their own thing and don't have time to help anyone with anything. Granted, it's not like they have to help you, but don't advertise that you are if really you're not.

I think I need to clarify that maybe I choose the wrong wording. Instead of mentor person, think of more as a character influence, as in if he hangsbaround a certain person and grows up around them, naturally he sort of becomes like them. Hope that makes sense!

One other thing, currently in limsa lominsa, but wants to go to Ul'dah to get rich, so if you are based there, the better.

Looking for some RP for an alt hopefully turned RP main. (meaning i have a pve main) A little about him before I dicuss what i'm looking for. T'avh Tia, 17 yr old orphaned miqo'te. No memory of family or relatives Has no clue about tribal miqo'te other than the difference between Nunh and Tia.Took the the title of Tia as he trys to act like he knows all about tribal miqo'te while obviously not having a clue. He was in an orphanage until he was ejected at 16. At this point in time, he is neither good, evil or morally grey. Having been on his own now for a year, he simply does what he needs to survive, stealing al ittle food from a merchants booth, picking a few pockets here and there. Having no friends or family to guide him, and no matter how hard he trys to hide it, he is very impressionable. Absolute flirt with anything of female race, often embarrassing himself trying to show off and impress them. Now to what i'm looking for. As stated, very impressionable. Looking for someone to take advantage of that, whether for good or evil. Open to Rp with any gender of mentor, but due to him wanting to impress any girls/woman, he will mold easier with a female mentor. Keep this in mind, i dont really expect an IC mentor relationship, but he will probably develope a crush of some sort if you are female. Nothing weird, just part of the character. If you are male mentor, he will become slightly more stubborn and bullheaded, wanting to show that he is just as much a man as you are. This will result in him trying to do his own thing, or doing something his own way instead of how he is instructed. Be prepared to have your authority questioned and proded at every turn. Keep in mind, that any problem, attitude, developed crush towards you, is all done IC. If you have any questions feel free to /tell me in the middle of the rp to clarify if you'd like:) IRL i'm 27yrs old, so i would consider myself capable of mature rp. So if your style or rp is more mature/abusive/etc. I can handle it. Character injuries are allowed at any given time, just let me know before hand so i can properly rp the injury. As far as ERp goes, nothing against it personally, but i'm a little uncomfortable with it while playing a younger character, IC romance is allowed however. If anything here sounds interesting, I'm currently in-game now so send /tell or pm me on here.

As an FC leader I can honestly say the use of a website is for organization purposes. Especially if it's a bigger FC. There's only so much we can cram in the message of the day and being on a site means we can put a calender up for people to check for future events. Sadly you'll be a bit out of luck for a lot of places to join since this is a rather common requirement. Also with Sastra on keeping an eye on this since it's something I might use When it comes to joining a group...Hmmm. Not many things will make me shy away. A big thing might be favoritism towards a member or certain members, especially if its someone who is messing up and not answering for it. It's a requirement that quite frankly, in my opinion needs to go away. I'm all for having to check the website for updates, events etc. Just don't want to have to sign up to apply:)

What is that one thing that a FC or guild does, or requires of you that just makes you run the opposite direction? For me personally, anytime I see or hear "sure we'd love to have you, just join our website and apply there" I immediately am peacing outta that joint. To me it's just an annoyance. Between work, emails and other stuff, I'm probably pushing 20-30 different websites requiring passwords.Anyhow which, due to password guidelines are different from each other. I'm really not wanting to add to that list. So what's yours?

Some words of advice: Don't worry about what others think of what, or how you want to RP. Unless they pay for your game, along with your sub, and pay to direct your gaming time, feel free to RP however you want. If you want to RP as the tutu wearing 3rd Moon Goddess who revolves around Minfila's butt singing "Jesus Loves Me".....feel free to do just that! Just kwno that, no matter how you RP, someone somewhere is probably going to disapprove. Just surround yourself with those who don't mind, and you will be fine.

I've yet to really delve into much RP, trying to get my character to a comfortable place where I can focus on RP. That being said, from an RP perspective, I'd like to meet the following people who have been the most helpful in answering my questions regarding the game in general. In no particular order: Warren. Kage. Geogenji

So can the same monster have different ranks? For instance, could Sewer Syrup be an S rank at some point, and then A rank the next day? And how many ranks are there?

So just got to level 50, did the Maelstrom quests and have unlocked Hunts. I've collected the bounties from the board and have completed them. And.......is that all there is to it?? If so, why are there these "Hunts All Day" parties that are being formed in Pf? I mean it takes me all of an hour tops to complete my bounties. The other thing I thought of, was maybe you unlock more Allied Seals by just hunting down the named monsters in the wild, so I joined one of those hunt groups and killed 2 different mobs and didn't receive anything. So what am I missing here?

I have a young 17yr old Miqo'te named T'avh that might be of use to you.

I usually have my best luck between 5-7am eastern. "60% of the time, it works everytime"

......or just throw $18 into a server transfer. That seems to be the most feasible for getting into Balmung. Tho I always have excellent luck getting in. Usually takes me a max of 3 days to get an alternative rolled into the server during the morning hours.

Just logged into Balmung, though I didn't check to see if it was open, the server was completely empty, so I'm assuming it's still open.
