  1. Hey there! It's good to see more Earthen Ring RPers making their way to FFXIV. I'm Alia Brightmane (Aliabright) of the Tears of Draenor. Maybe we've met?
  2. Rio's a pretty physical person, so things like hugs are right up her alley. However, most of the time she prefers to be the one initiating the touching. Also, she's a bit prone to casual violence, especially towards men. Whether one should touch Rio or not goes on the same logic as whether you should be scratching a cat's belly. If she's already pretty positive towards you or already touches you, touch away! If you're a man or she doesn't like you, you'll probably get shot in the leg.
  3. -Puppetmaster! I mean, we have mammets in game. We're halfway there! -Some sort of neutral garlean camp or Garlond Ironworks-ish type place? Somewhere Garlean RPers can hang out. -A DPS job for Marauder. We already do a decent job at damaging things, just need to give us an excuse to queue as DPS. -More hair options, along with maybe more tattoo and face paint options? Ooh, and secondary highlights for some really weird hair color combinations. -Fantasia and other character recreation options as buyable mogstation things. Because I want more. -Right click blacklist. -More dyes, more dyes! -The ability to dye more dungeon sets and other green and above quality armor. (Lookin' at you, Monk AF.) -Despite the hilarious 50+ page thread on the official forums about it, I would not mind a butt slider. -"Hidden-away" areas that are dangerous and no one goes to. I miss large sections of every map in 1.0 being sealed off by level 80 mobs and feeding my friends to them just so I could see what was there.
  4. When I get paid next, I'll definitely have to donate some to this! Ah yeah, I'm also another trans person (MtF), so I guess we can add another to the tally? Really awesome to see that there's so many of us in the FFXIV RP community.
  5. Character: Rio van Rosch Primary Weapon(s): Axe, Guns,Explosives Class-equivalent: Marauder Style: Garlean Sapper Offense/Defense/Versatile: 2offensive4u, zero strategy, just boom. Strengths: Due to Rio's work as a magiengineer, she possesses a large amount of upper body strength and can easily swing her axe around. She also carries around at least one firearm and a massive amount of explosives under her clothes at all times. (Unless she's like, in a cascadier uniform. She's not -that- hammerspace.) Weaknesses: Huge propensity for friendly fire (ESPECIALLY self-injury). Huge propensity for overkill... property damage... Useless in enclosed spaces due to the sheer radius of all her abilities. Also has zero in the way of magical abilities. Summary: Rio's style is a simple one. She has bombs, and likes to set them off. From dynamite in her shoes to handcrafted "crystalnades" in her sleeves, Rio is a walking force of nature. A sapper to her core, Rio specializes in fighting large groups and structures where precision isn't required. From collapsing tunnels, to collapsing buildings, to destroying machina, Rio is the bane of any army's infrastructure. However, take all that away and you still end up with a very formidable opponent. Trained by the Garlean military in the axe and in firearms, Rio retains at least a fraction of her deadliness at close range. However, her skills in these weapons aren't as notable as her skills as a sapper. Extra: Most of Rio's over-the-top abilities place her in the same sort of "realm of existence" as comedy characters such as Hildebrand. Unless a serious situation plans on her using explosives for a specific purpose, chances are she'll give and take damage in a manner similar to Team Rocket, from Pokemon. (Including "blasting off" if all her explosives go off!) However her axe and firearms do very real damage, and she takes damage from other characters, so watch out when the steel starts swinging!
  6. Oooh, that sounds really interesting. I super support this idea, indeed!
  7. Really digging that Titan battle music. It really goes with the frantic, "Move or you're going off the edge" theme of the fight. Something that'll get your blood pumping so you can move those legs out of the bad spots. I'm still waiting on Leviathan news though! It'll come... eventually!
  8. So recently I've been batting around making Rurufi having come from the eastern continent of Othard rather than La Noscea. I've hit a bit of a snag though in that I'm not exactly sure just what all we know about this faraway land. As far as I know, all that we know is that: 1. It's one of the three great continents; located due east of Aldenard and Illasbard. 2. It's been taken over by the Garlean Empire. However, I'm not sure if anything else has been revealed to us about the area; so if anyone else knows anything about Othard, I'd love to hear about it!
  9. I'm with Aysun on this one. Dancer and Flayer would both be jobs I'd absolutely love to see.
  10. Rurufi's sort of painted herself using the stereotypical "super hero" brush; so she's primarily be using her fists to beat up the bad guys. She'll also dabble in just a little bit of everything else, but mainly she'll be focused on being a pugilist who can dispense justice with her bare hands! (Which makes it pretty convenient that the character who's data I used to make her already was a 48 Pugilist.)
  11. Rurufi Rufi has arrived! (Hurray for finally having a picture of her! I've been waiting for this.) And also Rio, remade for ARR! (But not making it into the game most likely.)
  12. I can't speak for ARR, but 1.0 definitely had something like that and I've no reason to believe the feature wouldn't make a comeback for ARR!
  13. Welcome to the boards, Scarlet! Hope you enjoy your time here!
  14. Rurufi's able to read, write, and speak Eorzean pretty decently well; being a native speaker and all. She's not exactly a novelist, but her vocabulary is at least decently large.
  15. Rurufi would definitely be a pygmy goat! Stubborn as a goat, with all the size of a plush toy.
  16. Hey there, everyone! After a long hiatus caused by some serious connection issues, a move between houses has a darn good chance of restoring my ability to connect to Square Enix titles! Which means that as soon as I'm able, I'll be arriving in FFXIV:ARR! Super excited for that! I'm the former player of Rio van Rosch (Rio Roulette); but I have decided that Rio will not be appearing in FFXIV: ARR. So! I'll be returning with a brand new character to cause mayhem with. Look forward to it! I'm super excited to see you all in Eorzea again! Let's get along! -Rurufi
