Does your Character aspire to be a Hero?
Reiner Dorn replied to -no longer matters-'s topic in RP Discussion
Reiner aspires to be a King, and a liberator for his people. To be a rallying symbol to the Mhigan populace. So in a sense, I'd say he does aspire to become a hero. -
Duskwight customs officer at Limsa looking for acquaintances
Reiner Dorn replied to Fortes's topic in Chronicled Connections
Hey there, Wanted to drop a line if you want contacts. I run a free company dedicated to alleviating and addressing magic issues plaguing Eorzea. Shortly we will be based in Limsa and would most likely take work with the Gate and the Maelstrom for a time. Happy to build bridges. -
balmung Ishgardian Festival - Interest check!
Reiner Dorn replied to Virella's topic in Chronicled Events
It's my opinion to think that while things have taken a few turns. This war has been going on for quite some time. The Citizenry and such is quite removed, as for the need to continue to maintain moral during a war that has become the largest part of Ishgardian life for generations. Such things would be incredibly important even if while festive, they continue the somber tone of the ishgardian society. The inclusion of adventurers and the alliance presence seems to give some of the NPC's especially the disenfranchised ones cause to be hopeful. -

balmung Ishgardian Festival - Interest check!
Reiner Dorn replied to Virella's topic in Chronicled Events
Well, Dropping the Mhigan line here, I would be happy to help organize the aggressors side of the Autumn war reenactment if you'd like. I am hoping to do Early Autumn war reenactment for my own Mhigan festival coming soon enough so it'll really help get a good breadth of the war going. We should try and contact Sounssy for some help on this too. Reiner ICly would be interested as well as Mhigan nobility and former military. He's all about outreach and building ties. So I'm doubly in. *Sets off the Sounssy Symbol* -

Location: Ul'dah and surrounding area Who may mention this: Ala Mhigan Refugees and low workers about the city and camps. Rumor: Many of the older refugees have been seen talking in large groups with pride and hope upon their face. Some have even taking to policing the less that law abiding youth. A recent influx of gil coin in their pockets seems to have also eased their burden, as much as it can at least. --------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Little Ala Mhigo Who may mention this: General populace Rumor: Talk of a noble turned soldier who escaped the fall of Ala Mhigo is easily apparent, though much more is talked about in the native tongue of the highlanders. Small written missives speak of a revival of their people, and of their land. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Ul'dah (Chamber of Rule) Who may mention this: High Society and and politically active members Rumor:"The Fidalgo is as brash as he is idealistic, though he wishes to bludgeon his way through bureaucracy and monetarists for what? For slums and paupers? There is little reason for it unless he hopes to incite some revolt. Violence is the only thing those giant muscled simpletons understand."

Acceptable Things at Scheduled Events
Reiner Dorn replied to Warren Castille's topic in Chronicled Events
Yeah This has only been a drop in a bucket of Trolls at Runestone. God knows how many Warren has had to deal with on Saturday. I'm usually proactive, speak with them once in a pm and ask them to stop. Then one ooc yell to everyone that the event and staff do not support this person or their interruption then go on about my event. -

[Spoilers] Heavensward Lore Discussion
Reiner Dorn replied to Aduu Avagnar's topic in FFXIV Discussion
So curious question, not sure if anyone has brought this up. But in the Dungeon The Fractal Continuum, one of the mobs / creatures in Alagan vats are Ixalion. They look like proto ixali just with wing arms instead of hands. So this would leave me to think the Ixali were manufactured, is this a thing I just never knew or is this a reveal? Because I don't believe there has been any link to any other beastmen tribe with the Alagan. -
What Primal would you Character serve or work for?

Let's talk about 'dem Heavensward jobs
Reiner Dorn replied to Zyrusticae's topic in FFXIV Discussion
Some minor testing before work. With Raging strikes and Dreadwyrm trance on. I managed to Deathflare crit for 5100 damage. And with dissipation on and another SCH using the healing buff I've hit a 5800 Adlo (So 5800 and a 11600 shield *drools*) -
So wanted to drop a line that it seems it is easily possible to get Law gear and upgrades quite quickly over the next two weeks. So the Law gear is quite cheap, weapons being 570(check) and everything else below 500 You high level roulette gives 100 trial gives 60 and low level should give about 100 as well. with each 60 dungeon giving 80 per run and 40 new player bonus. The upgrade items for the Law gear from 170-180 is bought from the centurio seals 160 for right side 350 for left side and if I'm not mistaken 400 for a weapon. (The daily and weekly marks should do this will little need to hunt A and S ranks. weekly giving 100 is quite nice.) With just doing the bare minimum of the dailies, you can within a week and a half our so have a full suit of base 170 gear. pushing dungeons can get two classes up easy in that time (Playing SCH and SMN myself)

Not sure if anyone has posted up yet on Arcanist, but to go over a few things. SMN: Painflare 200 potency free mp aetherflow cost:1 A powerfull addition to the lackluster SMN AOE pre 50. Tri-disaster Low cooldown all three Dots instantly. Has been really solid for when I get the spellspeed buff from my pet or other buffs kicking on. (Happy that they now added a visible buff for the spell speed from pet.) Ruin III Amazingly powerful with a spammable attack for 120 potency. (only usable to replace Ruin and Ruin II during Dreadwyrm Trance.) Dreadwyrm Trance 10% damage increase across the board. Use of any aetherflow move gives you a stack of a new resource. At three you can enter this stance for free. No reason not too, even if you have to refresh buffs or anything else. Takes ruin III's mp cost from 1k to 100 Deathflare a 400 potency on target AOE usable in Dreadwyrm trance. Use of it ends the trance but it's instant. My usual rotation ends my last Ruin III at about 1 second left so why not!. (OTher minor changes, the spellspeed to dot and pet increases have been quite noticeable. Aswell as the increase to the pets damage.) SCH. First off the change to Selene (Getting a new aoe Cleanse and her speed buff being rolled into one moved with 60 second CD and 30 duration is amazing.) They have given a few new healing buttons. Indomitability is a 400 potency aoe heal for aetherflow with a 30-40 second cooldown (not sure exactly) Has been used to amazing effect. Change to luster being 600 potency with a chance to crit. Deployment tactic: Spreads Eye for an Eye and Galvanize shield to those around the target, starting the pull with a near 4k+ shield on the whole party is niiiiiiice Emergency tactic: Removes the shield from your next galvanize and turns it to straight healing. (not exactly sure the use as a 4k adlo with an 8k shield is 12k effective healing...so a 12k heal is the same.) Dissipation. Not sure I like it to much. Sack your pet for a full stack of aetherflow and a 20% increase to healing for 30 seconds. you can't resummon your pet until the effect is over. (my big problem is my pet is 1800 MP which is nearly 20% of my mp bar...) And Broil a 170 potency spam attack, I've found SCH leveling and solo PVE easier that SMN setting Selene down for buff and healing you while you spam in cleric stance has been awesome! -
Airships to require 4 crafter party. (INTEREST CHECK)
Reiner Dorn replied to Erik Mynhier's topic in FFXIV Discussion
Erik, I have a second Reiner (Listed Reiner Dorne) I am more than willing to bounce him about to different FC's and aid in this. As both an IC or OOC help with the airship crafting. My two notes is currently I do not have any leveled (but really, that doesn't take very long at all) And second that I really have not read up on how the airship stuff works at all. But hey, Ready and willing to be tossed on a list. Main Reiner is hitting 60 the moment I get home which should leave me ample time to level up crafts and such to get this done. For anyone interested in contacting me, Here aswell as ingame on Reiner Dorn is quite easy. -

Deduction in bancho points for lack of swank pompadour. 8-) Judge would obviously either be a school guard or the principal. Or that super strict teacher no one wants. Chachan would likely be the short kid who gets stuffed into lockers. Apologies, Being Tsundere with a pomp is hard =P

Reiner only came to his political tongue and calmer mind in his later years (now 46) As a younger man, being of both noble blood and Ala Mhigan hot blood I could only picture him as the Bancho rule the school type tyrant

Myself (Reiner Dorn) Play a politco active Ala Mhigan revolutionary with Flames ties, and ties to many of the prominent Ala Mhigan characters. I am always looking for more contacts, and as I did meet you at Flynt Knoltros' Waystone event I'd really enjoy linking up with you ICly.
