There was a report of a few missing persons being last seen in Kugane. If you want to investigate and help us with this case, meet at the Kugane docks. ((October 21st, 8pm EST)) If you spot something suspicious please report it to Lady Yulu or Lord Nanashi. Please be safe! Thank you. (If you are outside of the FC and want to be apart of this story arc message me at Liara/Zhara#1370, thanks!)

Hisui Clan Q&A What is the Hisui Clan? ICly the Hisui Clan is a Doman noble family who owns a small island off the coast of the Ruby Sea. They are vassals to Prince Hien and previously to his father, King Kaien before his demise. They are very loyal to Doma, however there’s some debate on the family’s loyalty since they cooperated with the Garleans to protect their own people when Doma was under Garlean rule. However, when the Warrior of Light gave hope to the people of Doma, the Hisui Clan sent in assistance in the form of their best samurai and unfortunately lost many of them in the battle for Doma Castle. What is Caihong? Caihong is the island province that the Hisui Clan owns. Caihong is a very green island with a lot of vegetation and wildlife, and is known for the high quality silk and jade that comes from there. Caihong has three towns - Caihong City, which is the main fishing port, and two small villages inland called Sora and Umi. The one thing that makes Caihong stand out from any other place in Othard is the significant population of lalafells. Who are you looking for? We are pretty much looking for anyone and everyone, as long as you’re good or neutral aligned. Even Ijins! Morally grey is acceptable. The Hisui Clan is recruiting people to staff the Caihong Embassy in Shirogane as well as adventurers, samurai and ninjas for protection, house missions and business. Who are you OOC and how may I join? We are just a group of people who enjoy playing and roleplaying in FFXIV. If you would like to join us, then we’d love to have you. Right now our recruitment process is fairly simple, just send me a message @zhara-liara-yui on tumblr or you can contact me on Discord at Liara/Zhara#1370. I will get to you as soon as possible and invite you into the FC.

Ack sorry, I haven't checked RPC in a few days. But Valence is pretty accurate, I do struggle with the last two on that list. OOC things seem to be fine, but for whatever reason I just can't get into the RP or the RP style. Or I look at a FC ad and don't give it a try because it doesn't sound all that interesting to me. Sometimes I wonder if I'm just burnt out from RP and that's the reason why free companies and their themes don't draw me in as easily as they used to. I have gone through a lot of drama and bullshit in the past two years so it would make sense. As for linkshells, I haven't really tried linkshells. Usually the linkshells I join end up being inactive, but I could always give it a shot again.

Ouch, that must've really sucked for the both of you to be going from FC to FC but I'm glad you have a decent group. The FC I have with my boyfriend is just starting up. It's literally just me, him and one other person. Hopefully we'll be able to get it going and that I'll eventually find a FC that fits my other two characters or I'll just keep my two characters in my FC and draw up a reason as to why they're in my FC. We'll just see how things play out I guess.

RP Noob - Nameday Question
SapphireSkylines replied to Evianne Cloudamelle's topic in Character Workshop
To figure out birthdays and other important dates I use this guide - http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/182513-Eorzean-Calendar-to-Gregorian-Calendar-Quick-Guide. According to the guide your character was born on February 19th. The way I remember months is that there are six moons with an astral and an umbral. Since there's an astral and umbral of each moon, that makes for the 12 months on our calendar. We start at the first moon at first astral, which is January, then first umbral which is February, then second astral which is March, and second umbral which is April and so on and so forth. It takes awhile to get used to and you don't really have to get used to it, just use that link. -
So... where to start. I would say that when I join a free company that I really like, I tend to be very loyal to it. I just left my last free company, which I had been in for nearly a year and a half. I had been in my previous FC before that for six months. I attempted to be apart of two free companies. One company had very nice people but I left only after a few weeks because it just didn't feel right for some reason. And then I was in another free company for only a few hours because... well... that was a "joining a free company gone wrong" situation, it was terrible, I'd rather not get into it. I have been focused on running my own free company with my boyfriend. I have three characters in total that I RP on and while it's been okay to have my other two characters 'camp' in my FC, they just wouldn't be a good fit for the IC theme that I'm going for so I'd like to find them another company at some point. It's just been really difficult finding a company that I think I would enjoy and it's been kind of frustrating because I've never had this much difficulty before. Is it normal to struggle with finding a good FC? Does it usually take you awhile to find another FC after leaving one or do you join another one pretty easily and shortly after leaving your old one? I would go FCless for awhile but at this point I only really RP with my boyfriend and a few other friends. I'd like to find a decent group of people and replenish my friend group.

Hey there! I was wondering if anyone knows of any hunt linkshells on Balmung that farm S and A ranks? The last time I was in a hunt linkshell was back in ARR and I have no clue if those are still relevant anymore or not.

Au ra / Miqo RPers - the sliding scale?
SapphireSkylines replied to omnoriaaa's topic in Lore Discussion
I have a friend who plays a miqo'te that says "myuun...." or something similar to it. I haven't had the guts to tell them that I think it's silly. It's easy for me to just ignore it anyways. Since my miqo'te wasn't raised in her tribe and was adopted by hyurs, she acts more human than miqo'te. She's still very much interested in miqo'te culture though and wants to learn more. As far as feline traits go.. she likes when her ears are scratched and she loves eating fish. That's about it. -

Probably small houses for both of my characters as well as an Ao Dai for Zhara. It doesn't make much sense for her to have, but I think it's pretty . -
((Welcome to my journal thread! These are the journal entries of Y'zhara Zekial from Balmung. Um... meta gaming is bad mmk? This thread is for reading only. Thanks!))

Hey guys! I just wanted to put out a step by step guide on how to get a good ending in Doki Doki Literature Club. Here's how you do it! 1. Go to the main menu. 2. The next step is vitally important, are you ready? Press the Quit button at the menu. 3. After you quit the game, find something else to do. And that's how you get a good ending in Doki Doki Literature club! Seriously... don't play it. It's pure life wrecking nightmare fuel.

I think there's been a thread like this before, but I can do this again: Zhara's speaking voice: sqoPMsGpQ7k Zhara's singing voice: 0AcIMqIP77U Demi's voice is slightly lower and more raspy so it's not an exact match up with the talking voice, but these are just references anyways, doesn't have to be perfect.

balmung ~ LF IC teenager connections!
SapphireSkylines replied to rookie's topic in Chronicled Connections
My character is not quite a teenager, she's more of a young adult - 22 years old but she's still rather youthful. I also know someone who plays a 15 year old girl who I think would match the description of what you're looking for. I also know an 18 year old, but he's very much a goodie two shoes. -
Bumping this because I just updated my post with some new information! Another thing I'm sort of casually looking around for is possibly a new FC and some RP linkshells for Zhara. I'm wanting to get a fresh new start on her and while I love my current FC and some of my closest friends are in it, they don't do a whole lot so I'm wanting to just browse and look around. So if Zhara looks like someone that would fit in your FC or LS, message me about it.

discussion How long should a story arc last?
SapphireSkylines replied to SapphireSkylines's topic in RP Discussion
Thanks for all the responses! It seems like it should depend on the story but now I'm sort of wondering... what is everyone's personal preference, if they have any? Do you prefer an arc that goes on for a month or do you prefer an arc that goes on for six months? What's your favorite type of arc to do in that regard? -
Hey there! So back on WoW I was a DM for my guild and usually my arcs would be about several weeks to one month long, but that was mainly because events would always happen at least once a week no matter what unless a person important to the plot couldn't make it or if I had a conflict/was sick. My friend just ended his arc that I was in, and it lasted from September to the beginning of December, so almost three months. I thought it was a little long, especially since we were doing sessions for it twice a week, maybe once a week if someone had a conflict. So I'm just curious and want to ask the community of RPC - how long should the ideal story arc last? What's your opinion?
