  1. At the sound of a gun being prepared to fire Oria froze in place, slowly turning her head about to glance back at Kira. âDonât be worryinâ about that,â She bobbed her head from side to side as if contemplating some outcomes in her head and shrugged her shoulders, âThough itâs kind of important so put the gun down and we can talk about this all civilized and such.â Oria sniffed as she paused for a moment before quickly adding with a wave of Tyriontâs hat, âPlease. He's in a bit of trouble.â
  2. ((I hope you don't mind I made a few assumptions that the crew would be asleep or at least be off the main deck for that night. >> )) It wasn't until a few nights after her shouting match with the hat did Oria finally show up at the ship again, clutching Tyriont's hat in her hands. Oria had no idea why she held onto the hat for as long as she did but she knew one thing -- it wasn't helping the situation. Aori had made that perfectly clear when she kicked the brooding girl out of their apartment, growling that she wasn't to return until she got over what ever was ruining their respective sleep. Oria took a deep breath before pulling the half-mask over her eyes. This wasn't the first time she'd snuck onto a ship and it wouldn't be the last. She hoped. The moment her feet made contact with the rope that tied the ship to the pier Oria knew there was no turning back and she was gone. Quickly and quietly she climbed the rope and lifted herself up and over the side, pressed herself into the shadows and made her way into the crew's quarters. The sneak paused for a brief moment to admire the way a lantern casted her shadow on the walls. Oria waved her hand and cracked a smile as she watched the shadows play out. Sneaking. Right. She shook her head and pressed her lips together. Something in the back of her mind told her sneaking onto a pirate ship wasn't such a great idea, perhaps showing up during the day and saying hello would've been less life threatening.. but where was the fun in that. Oria was over-confident in her abilities and was sure she could talk her way out of a situation. It was Tyriont's crew, she reassured herself, they're probably too drunk to aim. "Now.." Oria peered at the doors to the crew's room and muttered to herself, "Where's this drunk lion fella.."
  3. (( *strikes a pose* )) "Sorry." 'Sorry' was all he had to say to her as he walked away and he didn't explain. 'Sorry' was haunting her mind. 'Sorry' was about to drive her insane. Oria rubbed at tired eyes and pulled herself to her feet, hands patting at her rear to dust away dirt from the pier. âIâm off, you lot! Letâs meet again!â The young lady presented her best, if tired, smile and waved to the group that had gathered. Happiness, that was what it was called, bubbled up in her chest and exploded in her heart when her companions shouted the same in return. It almost made her forget her original goal. Oria had to find Tyriont and if needed to, force an explanation out of him. What did âsorryâ mean anyway! Oria threw a swing in her hips and swaggered away, arms stretched over her head. Only a bell had passed since she had seen Tyriont stumble his way down the pier and around the corner. He should have made it back by now, but she hadnât seen him cross the pier on the other side. His ship was in their sights the entire time but she couldn't recall â Oriaâs train of thought derailed as her foot kicked something. âWhatâs this?â Oria mumbled aloud and crouched down to examine the hat, âHells, donât tell me the Capân fell off the pier!â She made to move to the side of the pier but the now dried blood caught her eye which had her scooting back to examine it. Oria moved her hand near the spots of blood. It was not a good sign she couldnât feel any residual warmth â whatever happened to Tyriont, he was long gone by now. âHope that isnât blood from his face,â Oria grumbled and brushed her fingers along the hat, fingers catching on the card, âThatâs the only thing heâs got going for hâwhatâs this?â The woman squint her eyes in the night, trying to read over the card. She tilted this way and that way in a desperate attempt to find some decent lightning to read. Twelve be damned if she didnât believe her night sight was getting worse. Oria shoved herself to her feet once again that night and broke into a jog toward the ship, the hat held close to her chest and the card clutched in one hand. Tears stung at her eyes and picked up the pace, âDamn it, itâs suppose to be the other way around Capân! This doesnât happen in the books!â She skidded to a halt in front of the ship. It was out before she knew it, shouting at the top of her lungs. "Tyriont is not a woman!!"

    Sexy time!

You're going to die the next time I see you, Sati.
  5. I use to blog but moved to twitter when it started building steam. Oria has a journal (here on the boards) until I can figure out if I want to go with wordpress or tumblr :F
  6. "I've got a nasty gash on my leg from work and I think it might need stitches, but I'm afraid of the doctor! Is there anything I can do to patch it up without seeing a doc?" -Concerned Worker
  7. Time for me to get out of Limsa Lominsa it looks like!
  8. Woohoo! It was a wonderful turn out and a lot more people showed up than I was anticipating! The best thing was that half of them didn't even get the flyer and showed up from word-of-mouth. Everyone looked like they were having fun and brought some wonderful stories to listen to, from a witch eating a man's eyeball to a tear wrenching tale of love and heartbreak. Big thank you to Soren and his linkshell for crashing (â¥) and Mason for the most awkward and endearing story of the night. I think all of the girls attending the event now have a crush on Mason. Hope you all had fun and look forward to a repeat of the event!
  9. Friendly bump reminder! The event is tonight at 10 PM EST (2200).
  10. I didn't know where to put this.. um... yeah, enjoy. 1. A Miqo'te Mannequin It had been a long day. It had been too long in fact and coming home to see her sister fiddling about in the corner with something useless was not helping to improve her mood any. "Oria? What's that?" "Hm? This? It's a mannequin of a Miqo'te." Aori shook her head, "Your observational skills are improving. Yes, I'm aware it's a mannequin but what is it doing here!?" She didn't mean to snap but Oria didn't seem in the least bit phased. "Well.. um.. a ship came by this morning with a bunch of them and I overheard that they.." She was fidgetting, "Had some extras." Aori knew these not-so-subtle signs her sister displayed and that could only mean one thing. "So you stole one." "I didn't steal it! I'm temporarily borrowing it for an unspecificed amount of time." Aori sighed and planted her hands firmly on her hips, there was only one way out of this. "You know, mannequins come alive at night to suck the souls of the living from their bodies. Not to mention it is a Miqo'te, you know.. they have fangs, probably to suck your blood." Oria let out a terrified squeal as she jerked her hands away from the mannequin, "You carry it back! I don't want to touch it!"[/list:u] 2. Gone Fishing It took a few moments for the whole strangeness of the situation to finally sink in for Oria. She had come down to the Fishing guild in hopes of finding some fresh fish for lunch but was only greeted by closed doors and a sign. The fishing guild had gone fishing.[/list:u] 3. At The Bismarck It was going to be a wonderful day even though the breeze carried a bit of a chill on it it wouldn't last for long. She casually strolled along the deck casting a glance every so often as the sun began to rise up and over the horizon. It would be soon, she knew, the moment the sun had made it completely over the horizon and bathed Limsa Lominsa in its warm light her favorite guild would fling open its doors and begin the day. They would work with an energy and vigor comparable to a burning blaze. The sun rose higher and she got a little hop in her step, speeding up as she came closer to her destination. Already she could smell and taste their cooking, see the flash of a fire in an oven, a pan sizzling.. Today was Firesday and she looked forward to it each week.. because today was free cookie day at The Bismarck.[/list:u] 4. The Dodo(s) Oria paused mid-swing at a tree she had been chopping at when a dodo had suddenly waddled into view, planting itself on the other side of the tree. The two soulless eyes stared, drilling into her soul, from around the tree. It was creepy. The young woman blinked, once then twice, frozen in mid-swing as she patiently waited for the dodo to move. The dodo had no plans on making her job any easier. Oria slowly tilted her head and the dodo soon mimicked her actions. She gave a huff and jerked her head back. The dodo snorted and did the same. She wiggled her hips and the dodo wiggled its rear. Oria had one last trick up her sleeve; she quirked a brow. The dodo fluffed and seemed to stare harder at her. The hyur gave a triumphant shout with a wide grin plastered on her face, "I won!" Her victory was short lived as a fire sparked in the dodo's once soulless eyes, it fluffed up and got to its feet inching forward to snap its beak angrily at her. "Ack! Bad bird! Bad dodo!" Oria squealed and backed up, brandishing her axe in defense. "I am not giving you my eyebrows!"[/list:u] 5. The Octant at Night There was only a few more bells until the sun would start to rise, she had to work fast. Oria gathered up the soap and dashed around the Octant, dumping them into each fountain of water before making a mad scramble to the nearest deck for her grand escape.[/list:u]
  11. *looks to her left* Heeeey, my bed. We can have a pillow fight with the zombies, Castiel.
  12. OOC: Can we play games on the road? Like I Spy and Truth or Dare?
  13. The Wet Rats Tall Tales When: September 11, 10 EST Where: Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks, just take the dock west out from The Hyaline and follow it to the dead end! Don't go to the Lower Decks! Hosted by: Oria Argall Description: The flyer is randomly thrown about Limsa Lominsa from bar tops to floating in water, a few have even made it to the other city-states by ships but not many. Judging by the flyer it appears it's a request for those with stories and those who want to hear stories to gather in Limsa Lominsa. ================================== ~OOC notes~ Purpose of event: This is meant to be a fun get together event to let RPers meet up, get to know each other and tell some stories. Rules: Be considerate to the story tellers during the event, try not to talk over them. Try to have a story ready to go to help the event flow with some ease. The stories can either be a fictitious story or "real". Try to keep it PG-13. Minimize OOC conversations in /say using (( )). Have fun! Another note: I realize this is a bit sudden and not everyone will be able to make it, if there is a conflict with the schedule then I'll set it for next week, same time. Just inform me before then either here, PM, the calendar's RSVP, or in game. :3 If the turn out is good and enough people like it then this will definitely be a repeat event.
  14. Entry 2; [The handwriting is shaky with a few ink blotches here and there. It seems the writer was uncomfortable.] I did not care much for today, there were too many awkward and strange happenings, maybe it had something to do with the tide? It was being unusual too! Aori and I were walking from the inn to the lower decks when I suddenly fell through the decks! Fwoosh! There I went! Somehow, someway there was a hole in the planks and they, the ones responsible for fixing said hole, had not cared to write a little sign.. rope it off.. nothing! Throwing a tarp over the hole does not say 'hey there's a hole here don't step on it' it says 'hey someone left a tarp here, you can step on it'. Thankfully, I landed in the water though I think hitting the deck might've been less painful. It feels like I've been slapped by someone really big and Aori says I'll have a nice bruise and some aches and pains for a while until I see a healer. I'll be fine, a little dip in the water won't hold me back. On the bright side I've found a bit of work! It's far from glamorous or amazing or.. note-worthy really, but it pays decent enough and it's something even an idiot like me can pull off. Every so often when the shops are low on materials, I get sent out with some others to gather them. In my case, I cut trees and hang off cliff edges to tap on rocks. Tap them. I tap the rocks. With a stick that's about as big as me with a sharp pointy end. I am hanging off the cliff with a sharp object. Tapping rocks. I am not a big fan of the hanging by a rope business, but it was either that or go in the cave with bats. Did I mention yet that a bat pooped on Aori? No? Well, it did. She had gone into a cave.. I couldn't go.. it was scary! She didn't seem at all phased by the bat poo on her tunic, like it was perfectly naturally. We're staying at Camp Bearded Rock (who names these places!?) for the night and we'll head back to port in the morning. For now, I need to try and get the bat patooty out of Aori's tunic and nurse my 'battle wounds' against the water.. [/list:u]
  15. Ah! That's a very good point. I didn't stop to think about that. Thank you for mentioning it, at least now I won't go around thinking the devs are out to get me!
  16. Going to make an addendum to my original but with pronouns now! *smack* Ah, that's disappointing! Here's hoping it'll just be a Beta thing! You'd assume that with having to type a character's full name into the chat box they'd give you more wiggle room.
  17. I feel like an idiot posting this, but I really need to know and google has failed me. Maybe it was like this in XI and everyone's simply just use to it.. but has anyone had any problems with the character limit (think about 85!?) in the chat box? I've found myself on occasion typing to my friend only to be stopped mid-way through an adjective. Is it just something I'm going to have to get use to or .. maybe.. there's a work around? *hopeful* Also, if someone says "use less adjectives" I will smack you!
  18. Entry I; [Along the margins there are various numbers. They seem to be a budget of some kind.] Here you are, my log book. Do you remember how we met? Some disagreeable old pirate had just about enough of you, or he was just frustrated he has to polish his own sword, and thrown you off the ship and nearly knocked me out. If he did it on purpose then he has really bad aim. It appeared you had been so damaged by the water all the ink had ran. I tore out all of the pages I couldn't salvage and ripped them up. Aori seems to have picked up a job she can't speak of to me, her own sister! I want to say it must be something bad but then I remember she's always been like this. I ask her to at least leave me a note that she'll be gone for a while or.. something! Anything! But she always says she shouldn't have to leave a note for something obvious. She had a job, it didn't involve me, she got money. That's all that matters. Aori means well I'm sure.. we need it for food and shelter.. and I haven't exactly been helpful.. I should find some kind of work. We headed out of Limsa Lominsa for a while. You know, to get away from the usual oddities like that one crotchety old pirate who insists Aori's hair is made from wharf rat fur, or that one Elezen who stares at me for too long and then eventually goes cross-eyed. It's creepy! We climbed a few rock faces and slid down grassy hills and through a cave to our favorite fishing spot. It's quiet, out of the way and the wonderful thing is.. I don't think anyone knows about it! We enjoyed the quiet time together, saw the rare moments where Aori could relax and laugh, and dueled with our fishing poles. Good things don't last forever and so we returned to the city. Aori's gone out on yet another job she does not speak of and I'm left to wander the decks. Maybe it's time for tea and cakes down at the Bismarck.[/list:u]
  19. I see Black Rock Shooter too! Vocaloid fans! (/ ;A;)/ Also, I hope you don't mind me asking, but is there a particular program you use for drawing and coloring?
